BOWIE! BOWIE! BOWIE! You've got lots to choose from. The man didn't make bad songs. Changes. Starman. Modern Love. Space Oddity (if you don't mind a long one). Heroes. Suffragette City. Let's Dance. All good! Can't wait to see you react to more 😁
There are many songs that, no matter how long ago they were written, still hold so much relevance to current times. This is one of them. RIP to 2 absolute legends.
They say that Freddy heard the song while eating breakfast at a diner. When Vanilla Ice started playing Freddy Mercury called his lawyer and got done before he finished his eggs
They never performed this song in concert together. For the record they recorded together, but this was Freddie's concert at Wembley meshed with the tribute to him after his death. Thanks for the reaction!
David Bowie’s Let’s Dance is Marvelous…as for the rift from this song…Bassist wrote it, Freddie wrote the lyrics with David …they all sued Vanilla Ice for sampling but not asking or paying
YOU’D BE SHOCKED at how MANY folks listen to this, and NEVER SEEM TO NOTICE that UNbelievably HIGH RUN where Freddie sings up uP UP into the outer stratosphere.😳
@@kevinwheesysouthward9295 Freddie did all kinds of amazing things like that with his voice in studio recordings that most folks don’t realize/know about.🥰
Unfortunately, they never did sing the song live onstage together. This video was skilfully put together from two different concerts, Freddie at Wembley and David at Queen's Aids concert after Freddie had died.
Yes, you need to do some Bowie. He's iconic - so many different moods of Bowie over the years - and they're all soooooo good. No bad choices, in my opinion (and I'm not a huge fan).
John Deacon, Bassist Extraordinaire gave the world the beat as Under Pressure hit the market place in 1981. .Say "Happy Birthday" to Deaky . . .his day was yesterday, 8/19. He retired from Queen and seemingly his music career after we lost Freddie Mercury. We continue to cherish his music. . .example, Deaky wrote "Another One Bites The Dust" *and many more". Thanks for this neat reaction.
They wrote and performed it together in Switzerland. Bowie was in the next studio when he popped into Queen's session only to hear John Deacon (bass) noodling around with this bass riff. So they decide to write and record it together but they never got the chance to perform it live together. This is a fitting tribute to that moment caught on tape that became an instant classic.
you should check out the video that has the isolated vocals. It is impressive. There is also a video with the isolated vocals for Somebody to love. Both videos are a must for Freddy fans, it really shows his amazing voice and range.
Two legends right here oh my gosh.. I miss Freddy so much.. oh Freddie Mercury he was a genius when it came to writing music.. another great reaction from you Sir❤❤
You'd like Bowie. Well some of his stuff anyway, some maybe not. He's got an epically long career & he was constantly reinventing himself (both musically & fashion-wise). He wasn't afraid to take chances & try new things. The man is a legend. He was married to a famous supermodel named Iman for a really long time, until he died in 2016.
I love making playlists and mix-tapes/cds where this song comes right before Killer Queen. This one ends with finger snapping and Killer Queen starts with them. They can just blend right together as if made for each other.
I love your reactions, but know what I love even more? Friggin Bowie! People will mention his 'hits', but he's well worth a deeper look. Ziggy Stardust, Soul Love, Life on Mars (catch the Aurora cover), but then Strangers When We Meet and Buddha of Suburbia...and Heroes simply brilliant (Motorhead cover is priceless).
Not vanilla ice tune sued buy Queen members for copyright because it was theirs “their opening” to Under Pressure. Queen members are protective of their music and lyrics which I admire so much in regards to Freddie. They will fight to the end.
No vanilla ice took that beat from them. He did not ask Queen if he could use that beat. The funny thing is Queen was recording & David Bowie found out that they was in the same building and will the rest you know 🙂. Freddie and David never did that song live
🎼💣💣💣🔥💣💣💣🎼 Love this X 2,477,813 !!! There has never been a song like this one. 2 of the greatest front men of all Rock n Roll just slaying it !! I am so glad you got to this one AB .. just fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fun fact: David Bowie and Freddie Mercury NEVER actually met to record this song. They were recorded separately. The video is mashed up to make it look like a duet on screen. Never sung it together either.
Product and written by David Bowie and Queen 👸. 1 of the greatest duets in rock. This song is a pivot for the late David Bowie: 2 years later he recorded and released Let's Dance 💃, his bestselling album. Suggested videos 📹: 1 David Bowie sings Let's Dance 2 Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury sing There Must Be More to Life than This.
You kill me 😂 love it! Yea you're my fav! Me n my Dommy! And YES do David bowie "LET'S DANCE" ❣️ or "space oddity" he weird. He does a really awesome Christmas song duet with bing Crosby "little drummer boy"!
David Bowie is amazing! You gotta hear Starman and Changes. Especially Starman. (Also he played Jareth the Goblin King in the movie Labyrinth and all his songs are phenomenal.)
Yes to Bowie! It was so funny to hear Vanilla Ice claim that his bass line was DIFFERENT from this.....everyone had a good laugh at that! Modern Love is a good place to start with Bowie.
There exists a video of just their vocals...it is amazing in its simplicity and complexity at the same time. Both tremendous talents gone much too soon.
When you sample something that’s fine step up and pay. When vanilla mud changed one note and said it was his own that’s wrong. Queen and David Bowie sued, it was settled out of court.
YOU NEED SOME DAVID BOWIE SONGS. LIFE ON MARS, GENE JEANIE, CHINA GIRL, GOLDEN YEARS, SPACE ODDITY...................... AND SADLY "BLACK STAR" BOWIE WROTE WHEN HE KNEW HE WAS DYING.
I really enjoyed your reaction, it was a smooth watch 🙂 i laughed when your face screwed up when freddie was doing his high notes 😂 Because you had to go back and listen again haha
good reaction, this is not the 'official' video. there never was one. the recording was a fluke actually. Bowie stopped by and they started jamming. this video consists of clips of the Wembley Queen concert with Freddie and Queen, and the clips of Bowie were taken from the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert where Bowie sang this with Annie Lennox of Eurythmics. even still, its a great video and an even better song!
David Bowie is a legend. If you want a dual treat React to David's Space Oddity and also Canadian Astronaut Cmder Chris Hadfield's version of Space Oddity while he was commander of the international Space Station. Really gives you perspective.
I can only hope from this day forth, whenever you hear that beat, this is what comes to mind. And to be clear...Vanilla Ice didn't 'sample' this he tried to clam it as his own. And few things irritate me more than knowing that when most these days hear that beat, he is what comes to mind.
I love how much you love Freddie. ❤❤
Legend has it Freddie heard Ice Ice Baby on the radio at breakfast, laughed all the way through it, then called his lawyer 😂
Love your comment 😂🥰
🤣🤣🤣🤘
Tem que ser muito burro para plagiar o Queen
And won.
😂🤣🤣❤
David Bowie knelt down at the tribute concert for Freddie and said the Lord's Prayer to a silent and stunned audience.
OMG! YES! YOU NEED TO DRIVE IN TO DAVID BOWIE!!!
Two of the most iconic voices in rock music, in duet. So beautiful. RIP Bowie and Freddie. Rock on in Heaven!
Way before Ice, Ice Baby.
This song always makes me cry, if you really listen to the lyrics it’s timeless
I’m with you. This entire country needs to listen to these lyrics
BOWIE! BOWIE! BOWIE! You've got lots to choose from. The man didn't make bad songs. Changes. Starman. Modern Love. Space Oddity (if you don't mind a long one). Heroes. Suffragette City. Let's Dance. All good! Can't wait to see you react to more 😁
Check out Bowie's Live Aide performance of Heroes
He was the act that followed Queen.
All of this plus Labyrinth! :D
"He didn't make bad songs" - accurate AF
Cough cough...er... Laughing Gnome?
Ziggy stardust
Good ears bro. Freddie had some divine pipes
Fame by Bowie is funky as hell
There are many songs that, no matter how long ago they were written, still hold so much relevance to current times. This is one of them. RIP to 2 absolute legends.
Vanilla Ice was sued by Queen and Bowie for stealing this riff. Vanilla Ice lost the case.
As he should have. Total rip off on Vanilla Ice's part. Should be totally ashamed!
Love both Freddie Mercury and David Bowie. Even got my niece and now her kids into Bowie by watching the movie The Labyrinth!!! ❤❤
I’ve loved this song since it was released but I never noticed that last high until I heard the isolated vocal track, a few years ago.
@@kevinwheesysouthward9295 Freddie did all kinds of amazing things like that with his voice in studio recordings that most folks don’t realize/know about.🥰
My all time favorite Bowie song is Lets Dance.
David Bowie in The Labyrinth is how I discovered boys. Regardless, he was a phenomenal musician his entire life; def check him out.
FREDDIE is the GOAT !!! Love Queen and Freddie Forever 💛 Thanks for your reaction 🥰 More Queen please 👑⚡️✨💫👑💛
How big David Bowie was is measured by the fact that Freddie wanted to share this song and that stage with him. Bowie's music was groundbreaking.
The song was written by Queen and Bowie while they were in Switzerland.
Unfortunately, they never did sing the song live onstage together. This video was skilfully put together from two different concerts, Freddie at Wembley and David at Queen's Aids concert after Freddie had died.

David Bowie- life on Mars or changes . Absolutely lit!!!
There is a UA-cam video of the isolated vocal track of Under Pressure which will blow your mind.
David Bowie magic dance as the world falls down and without you. All from the movie labyrinth.
Also space oddity

Changes by Bowie is a must
QUEEN---FREDDIE MERCURY!!!
THE BEST. GOATS!!!!!

Grabbed my heart when you said you didn't know David Bowie! Definitely need to listen to him.
Yes more David Bowie
Their voices blended so beautiful ❤
This song makes me choke up! So many beautiful elements. Damn, this song is amazing.
The answer is, yes, you need to hear some (a lot) of Bowie songs.
You absolutely need to do some Bowie. I'm jealous you get to discover him for the first time!
Yes! David Bowie! Charismatic, amazing voice!
Not to mention what a wonderful inspired message the song gives in the end

Both these men had fantastic voices.
David Bowie and Bing Crosby...fabulously duet little Drummer Boy
Yuck
Much love!❤️. ❤️❤️🍊🍊🔥🔥

Two of the greatest together IMO.
One of my absolute favorite songs of all time.

I am not much of a David Bowie fan (Queen is way better IMO) but “Major Tom” by Bowie is really cool.
Agreed!
Lol I'm the opposite Bowie all the way 😘😘
Do you mean Space Oddity?
@@kevanwillis4571 Is that the actual name of the song? Yes, thank you.
Look up how they wrote this song. Incredible history here
David Bowie was a genius. He had many great songs. Take time to listen to David’s songs. You will not be disappointed.
Probably the greatest UK rock singers of 70's & 80's. Massive International stars. Both sadly long gone - both died far, far too young.
No vanilla ice took that beat from them. He did not ask Queen if he could use that beat. The funny thing is Queen was recording & David Bowie found out that they was in the same building and will the rest you know 🙂. Freddie and David never did that song live

They were just in separate booths, same studio, same day.
Finally you’ve come back to QUEEN!!!! ❤️👍🏼❤️ MORE Please!!
Yes, David Bowie is Awesome 👍🤗❤️
Please do more Freddie and Bowie...they were both great!!
You do need to hear some David Bowie songs - "Heroes", "Changes", "Rebel Rebel", "Diamond Dogs" . . . . . . I could go on but you get the idea.
Watch Bowie and Bing Crosby...Little Drummer Boy

Yeah ,they didn't sample the greatest riff of all time, they literally took it from John Deacon and Queen. Nice reaction and choice of songs. 😊
You kill me 😂 love it! Yea you're my fav! Me n my Dommy! And YES do David bowie "LET'S DANCE" ❣️ or "space oddity" he weird. He does a really awesome Christmas song duet with bing Crosby "little drummer boy"!
Definitely check out David Bowie he's got some great songs.
You should hear the acappella version of this song with Freddie and David! It will change your life!
Vanilla ice said he did not sample this instead of Dum Dum Dum did a Dum Dum it's Dum Dum did a Dum Dum😂
Queen and David Bowie sued vanilla mud, he changed one note and said it was his own. It was settled out of court.
David Bowie is amazing! You gotta hear Starman and Changes. Especially Starman. (Also he played Jareth the Goblin King in the movie Labyrinth and all his songs are phenomenal.)
Try China Girl. Bowie 😍
Yes! And if you listen carefully, you hear Stevie Ray Vaughan doing the guitar solos.
Love your reaction, the song brings back good memories!!!
Yes to Bowie! It was so funny to hear Vanilla Ice claim that his bass line was DIFFERENT from this.....everyone had a good laugh at that! Modern Love is a good place to start with Bowie.
Fiun Fact: Bowie briefly dated Slash's (G&R) mom when he was a kid. She was a costume designer in the music business in LA.
It's an absolute classic.
There exists a video of just their vocals...it is amazing in its simplicity and complexity at the same time. Both tremendous talents gone much too soon.
Did you notice David bowie has two different colored eyes
From now on hopefully when you hear that bass line you will say under pressure instead of ice ice baby Iconic bass riff
I wanted to punch my screen when he mentioned that travesty!
When you sample something that’s fine step up and pay. When vanilla mud changed one note and said it was his own that’s wrong. Queen and David Bowie sued, it was settled out of court.

Queen: "Under pressure" recorded in 1981;
Vanilla Ice: "Ice, Ice, Baby" released in 1990...with Queen team😊
Both UK super stars
David Bowie sang that song in 1982 ✌️

Ice Ice Baby...lawsuit
Listen to David Bowie and Mick Jagger "Dancin' in the streets". It's an old Mowtown song.
The movie Labrynth features David Bowie songs. Sooooooi cool!!

Yes it was queen, not vanilla ice. Respect for queen
you sooooo need to hear some Bowie Songs . at least one song from 1960's to 2010's all different unique and original.
Listen to Changes by David Bowie
I think I love you when you backtracked to Freddie. lol
Vanilla Ice stole the riff from Queen. and he lost in court.
Yes dear, Vanilla ice stoled the magnificent riff from John... Loved yor reaction! Big hug!
