Wood apple is called vlangya in Malayalam. You can add tamarind and jaggery to the pulp and eat it. It’s the traditional way to eat it. In maharashtra, it comes to the market a day before shivaratri and is the traditional prasadam. In Panama, they make milkshakes out of it.
