If you’re on a binge of Daft Punk’s albums and reached this far, welcome to the final chapter in Random Access Memories. It may not seem a lot to most of you, but this album is literally what changed music for me. Going into it, I was expecting the usual dance tracks with a retro flair like Get Lucky when it hit the radio as a single. Little did I know how much this album would present to me and display Daft Punk’s greatest work as they took a step back from the synthesizer and traditional house sound that defined their careers. In RAM, you’ll hear pure orchestrated and hand crafted music that most artists now seem to be missing. By the end you’ll be touched by the craftsmanship behind each track and once the final second of Contact hits, your journey is over. Have fun and always remember, even if Daft Punk may be gone now their music will live forever. Thank you and have fun✌️👍🤖🤖🎵

Khr1spy Kréemes Actually, every instrument was played live. The digital equipment was limited to a custom made synthesizer, drum machines, and vocoders. Only song that used a sample of any kind was Contact (which contained a sample of the song “We Ride Tonight” by Australian rock band “The Sherbs”). They then listened back to both recordings to decide which sounded better. If they went with the tape recording, that was then transferred digitally into Pro Tools. The album was mixed digitally and mastered digitally as well. The point I’m trying to make is that RAM doesn’t sounds good because of analog, I’m saying it sounds good because everything was preformed by a real person, was mixed well, and was mastered with the intent to make it sound good, not to make sound loud (which the rest of the music industry hasn’t yet learned)

The perfect opening song for their album. Give Life Back to Music is a song that makes you want to head to the dance floor. Back in 2016, Daft Punk teamed up with The Weekend and released the songs Star Boy in October and I Feel It Coming in December. I like how Daft Punk went back to their old Discovery style, they did a great job.
This album came out in my last year of high school. Listening to this is a weird mix of hs nostalgia but also an extra bit of nostalgia knowing they have retired :(
TheMrminimario I've known Daft Punk since day one. They (It) is a computer program ;) And Nile Rodgers is the legendary guitarist / producer who's been making music since the 70s! :)
disco was always there... no disco, no techno... daft punk made a living enjoying and changing disco... they did the correct thing. they took what they were taking from and gave life back! they brought back people who got them where they are, they started making music instead of taking music. that alone is very respectable, what they have created together has created the next chapter of music all together! they deserved that grammy! ps. keith urban is an asshole to try and take that light away from niles that night when the world should have been all eyes on niles. daft punk forever.. disco will survive
Summer of 2013. I had just finished my sophomore year in college. This banger of an album dropped. As much as it was different compared to Homework, Discovery and Human After All... it was just as impactful. "Beyond" is still my favorite. Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, thank you. THANK YOU!
I feel like Daft Punk are just more than an electronica group: they are real musicians that actually have a real sense of harmony and melody, which they emulate the 70's and 80's era of music with Random Access Memories. Music like this should return in taking over the music industry. Their should be more focus in how the harmony and melody, as well as lyrics can blend into making quality music. I love classics and I I feel like all music, regardless of genres should emulate the classics of the 70's , early and late 80's to early 90's.
Aldo Rejna Never really cared for Pharrell Williams. Don't really like his singing. I personally thought that Giorgio by Moroder was really good. Also was Instant Crush, Lose Yourself to Dance, Beyond, and Doin' it Right. Contact was also really good, but the end is a bit creepy with its weird "whizzing" noise.
sanfrostorm arac oebac PFFFFT.... Well, I'll just pressure Daft Punk to make more music. AFTER ALL, it's quite clear it's the PRIME TIME OF YOUR LIFE, and we need to understand IT MIGHT NOT BE THE RIGHT ONE, and it might not even be THE RIGHT TIME to continue this. Somehow, I'm still continuing. I REMEMBER how the past albums TOUCHed me, and the future albums will do the same, if I'm LUCKY. If we ever come FACE TO FACE, we have to also understand the importance of Daft Punk in our LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEFFFFFFEEEEEEE
The fact that a recently resurfaced outtake of this song that also sounds amazing on its own right really gave a new meaning to "Give Life Back to Music"; even when they are gone they still manage to come back again...
This is honestly my favorite Daft Punk album. Mixing synthesizers with actual recorded instruments is just magic.

Nicolas Tsagarides Yep, it's moving o.o
Nicolas Tsagarides Nothing digital can compare with vinyl. Still take my vinyls and turn table with me to large shows I'm working sound for to tune the system.
perfect song to start 2020 on a good note.

WW3 begs to differ
Shit fam, we got WW3, Corona Virus, Plane shot down, Taiwan soldier shooting, Storms
COVID-19: hold my hand sanitiser
This didn't age really well
This album is a fucking masterpiece, has to be one of my top ten favorites.
Same, I love how they sampled this from a 1977 song
PPK profanities
Not usually an album guy, but I can say without a doubt that RAM is the best album I’ve heard this decade.
*the best
Thanks for everything ❤️
that guitar rift tho!!!
I really want this vinyl!
Dam Right!!
I have it!!
Nice profile pic, btw ;D
8bitvelociraptor Thanks! Same to you, as well.
Havok1988 yesss
This is probably my favorite album start to finish.
I love how the vinyl is actually going and you can see the needle move into the middle as you get further into the album
This album came out in my last year of high school. Listening to this is a weird mix of hs nostalgia but also an extra bit of nostalgia knowing they have retired :(
Dude same! Class of 2013! Used to ditch and get baked every day listening to this masterpiece of an album
Daft Punk please come back again strongly.
:(
:'(
F
Not many things give me more joy than this guitar
This is the most relaxing song i ever heard.
it makes me wanna dance
This song makes me wanna freak out.
1k didnt
Everytime I feel depressed and sad I come to listen to this song. It reminds me you can always find joy in life somehow.
DAFT PUNK is the electronic part. NILE RODGERS (and his funky guitar) is the *HUMAN* part ;)
I thought Daft Punk were Humans after all. That's quite a Discovery you made, you probably did your Homework
TheMrminimario
I've known Daft Punk since day one. They (It) is a computer program ;) And Nile Rodgers is the legendary guitarist / producer who's been making music since the 70s! :)
TheMrminimario Oh, them daft puns!
disco was always there... no disco, no techno... daft punk made a living enjoying and changing disco... they did the correct thing. they took what they were taking from and gave life back! they brought back people who got them where they are, they started making music instead of taking music. that alone is very respectable, what they have created together has created the next chapter of music all together! they deserved that grammy! ps. keith urban is an asshole to try and take that light away from niles that night when the world should have been all eyes on niles. daft punk forever.. disco will survive
So... you are a rocket scientist...?
Summer of 2013. I had just finished my sophomore year in college. This banger of an album dropped. As much as it was different compared to Homework, Discovery and Human After All... it was just as impactful. "Beyond" is still my favorite.
Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, thank you. THANK YOU!
man daft punk really is the source for real music these days, absolutely timeless
this aged like Hiroshima...
Lolil😢😂🎉
I feel like Daft Punk are just more than an electronica group: they are real musicians that actually have a real sense of harmony and melody, which they emulate the 70's and 80's era of music with Random Access Memories. Music like this should return in taking over the music industry. Their should be more focus in how the harmony and melody, as well as lyrics can blend into making quality music. I love classics and I I feel like all music, regardless of genres should emulate the classics of the 70's , early and late 80's to early 90's.
"Daft Punk - Give Life Back to Music" BOY, DO THEY! HOT DAMN!
good burger wecome to good burger may i take your order
Anyone else absolutely murder the air guitar to this song? Facial melt expressions too? Yup, that's what's up!
I'm gonna lose myself to dance...they really do give life back to music.
Thank you for your groundbreaking contributions to music for the past 28 years. You will be so greatly missed
The Robot Vocal, The Beat, The Guitar The Bass, ahhh cmon, everything just perfect!
I seriously think this is one of the greatest songs ever made. You can't change my mind.

derek jordan busca cualquier video de FUNK...
2:34 that bass twist !!! Man, damn good ! ( easily audible by the right side if listening with earphones )
so many subtle things going on, Daft Punk are just on another level
@@magneto44 i agree with you bro !!
WHY ISN'T THIS SONG AS WELL KNOWN AS GET LUCKY??
answer is : Pharrell Williams ;)
Aldo Rejna
True XD
it wasn't promoted. but, the 3.5 millions that brought album know it. so, whatever=)
Aldo Rejna Never really cared for Pharrell Williams. Don't really like his singing. I personally thought that Giorgio by Moroder was really good. Also was Instant Crush, Lose Yourself to Dance, Beyond, and Doin' it Right. Contact was also really good, but the end is a bit creepy with its weird "whizzing" noise.
because this song isn't about shagging mate.
Daft Punk was, is and will be one of the finest sounds in the history
No Doubt
They are the Godfathers of EDM
I've been crying in a gas station bathroom for an hour now

Give Life Back to New Albums
+Charles E. yes we need one more
sanfrostorm arac oebac ONE MORE TIME
XD you can do a song reference AFTER ALL
sanfrostorm arac oebac PFFFFT....
XD well I think that one álbum will be released this or The next year after or before the movie and before the 2007 Alive I wish they do the HOMEWORK
I will never forget daft punk :..) they are my best
You own daft punk?
TomahawkGaming •√•
Mute What is that face?
TomahawkGaming idk xD
One of the best songs I've heard of.
what makes daft punk and their music so good is that its so.... unique and different.
and they used a 1977 song to make this one. totally right
I never thought music could be satisfying, until now.
The fact that a recently resurfaced outtake of this song that also sounds amazing on its own right really gave a new meaning to "Give Life Back to Music"; even when they are gone they still manage to come back again...
Oh god, this is one of the best tunes ever. Daft Punk and Nile Rodgers is magical.
