#DaftPunk #GiveLifeBacktoMusic
I see all the old comments saying how their music changed people's lives and it makes me sad that we wouldnt see them again.
💔😭
Oh, you have got noticed...
Man this is so rough it hurts so much
I almost threw up when I heard the news
We might never gonna see them again. But, their music will forever be heard.
This album was their final gift to us. Who would have thought? All those years ago now. Thanks for everything.
And I'm going to get it soon. Saw it in the nearest music shop, but wasn't sure to get it or not, and 2 weeks later I read they split, so I definitely will get it.
they have released few but great albums
What an album to go out on.
The Tron legacy sound tracks counts.
Music was kinda dead, then 2 fine french gentlemen decided to give life back to music❤️
This is honestly my favorite Daft Punk album. Mixing synthesizers with actual recorded instruments is just magic.
that's exactly what daft punk is about and always was, what are you talking about?
I never understood when people say this, it’s not crazy or anything new, it just sounds good, like dozens of other records do this. Almost all of then
@@enzo1337ro I agee but this is no doubt their finest work. One of the best albums in the world.

i know that feel bro
Their first show was in my hometown a little town of 10000 person, i wasn't born yet they never come back 😢
I was thinking the same thing. I was hoping/planning to once the world gets better.
The intro it self gives me chills ..the intensity it starts off with then slops down into that chill smooth groove just makes you wanna vibe every second it plays !!
Daft Punk really makes you love the soft part of electronic music.
Totally.
true. very true
This isn't an electronic music album, not sure if you noticed. The vocoder vocal effect doesn't mean this is electro or something, that voice filter has been around since the 70s
***** This is incorrect. It's not electro or electronic. Did you even listen to the album? It's all actual instrumentation, that was one of the most exciting things about it when it was announced. Are people deaf now?
***** Google says daft punk makes Electronic/House
Something about 3:18 always gets me, since i first heard it back in 2014, i always get emotional about the beat, the melody, the harmony all coming together, it like practically sums up how its like having to create wonders in music with passion at heart, along with that audience background cheering, just so captivating and breathtaking... It may not be very lyrical, but it sure does hit me in the feels
Man exactly the same! the guys in the background speaking and cheering always get me
J-King same
Right? There's a slight variation on the chords / harmony that moves just slightly toward resolve.
Exactly same 😀😀

"give life back to music" is such an important message.
one of humanity's greatest gifts, and we've squandered it, poisoned it with our greed and lust and selfish desires.
we need music that channels why we create in the first place. music that invigorates the spirit and makes us feel happy, makes us feel *alive.*
Keonas yes daddy
Music is an art, just like traditional art. Everyone draws a shitty dick from time to time, sometimes too often, but there's still masterpieces!

My favourite song of this record. I'm very happy for the two gentlemen. I like the fact that they keep low profile. They don't care about being celebrities. Just make good music.

It's rough where it needs to be, smooth where it needs to be. So beautiful.
the whole album was recorded analog, something rarely done in the age of digital recording, and it definitely paid off. whole thing sounds so crisp
its that Guzauski guy
A perfect song from a perfect album from legendary and influential artists
Agreed.
Man the whole RAM album has a clear crisp sound that really makes it a joy to listen to. The opening to this song is one of the best.
Daft Punk used old equipment,Played Sample without using any Digital Equipment!/it was all Analog!!!
Mzorzky One of the cleanest mix I've ever heard, the entire album. Man, I wish my mixes will sound as clean as this soon!
Khr1spy Kréemes Actually, every instrument was played live. The digital equipment was limited to a custom made synthesizer, drum machines, and vocoders. Only song that used a sample of any kind was Contact (which contained a sample of the song “We Ride Tonight” by Australian rock band “The Sherbs”). And saying that this was an “all-analog” album is a complete lie. Everything was recorded simultaneously into Pro Tools and onto analog tape. They then listened back to both recordings to decide which sounded better. If they went with the tape recording, that was then transferred digitally into Pro Tools. The album was mixed digitally and mastered digitally as well. The point I’m trying to make is that RAM doesn’t sounds good because of analog, I’m saying it sounds good because everything was preformed by a real person, was mixed well, and was mastered with the intent to make it sound good, not to make sound loud (which the rest of the music industry hasn’t yet learned)

These guys showed me what real good music is about! Thanks Daft Punk
HOLY SHIT, DYNAMIC RANGE! The punch of those drums, the crispness of the guitar and Fender Rhodes. Aside from this being a disco track, this is one of the most pleasant-on-the-ear songs I've heard from a modern record in AGES.
Disco patently rules. The qualities you cite as being what turns you on about this track are inherent to the genre.
Mychael Darklighter id say its disco but I've heard people call it electro funk which kinda makes sense I guess
the whole album is mastered that way.
trenton proctor sure, genres mix and merge all over the place. Most of what I'd call definitive electrofunk comes from the early '80s, which kind of says to me that it's a natural throughline from disco, just with the name changed so we didn't have to admit we're listening to the music that a couple years ago we were holding hysterical, Neurembug-esque rallies in contempt of.
Solason Colón yes, it won best engineered album at the grammy's last year.
Big fan of Daft Punk. Classy robots who make quality music, and this album is legendary.
Yessirree! :D
If you’re on a binge of Daft Punk’s albums and reached this far, welcome to the final chapter in Random Access Memories. It may not seem a lot to most of you, but this album is literally what changed music for me. Going into it, I was expecting the usual dance tracks with a retro flair like Get Lucky when it hit the radio as a single. Little did I know how much this album would present to me and display Daft Punk’s greatest work as they took a step back from the synthesizer and traditional house sound that defined their careers. In RAM, you’ll hear pure orchestrated and hand crafted music that most artists now seem to be missing. By the end you’ll be touched by the craftsmanship behind each track and once the final second of Contact hits, your journey is over. Have fun and always remember, even if Daft Punk may be gone now their music will live forever. Thank you and have fun✌️👍🤖🤖🎵
Reading this made me sad because I was on a binge. All in all I'm grateful that they preferred quality over quantity

I feel like Daft Punk are just more than an electronica group: they are real musicians that actually have a real sense of harmony and melody, which they emulate the 70's and 80's era of music with Random Access Memories. Music like this should return in taking over the music industry. Their should be more focus in how the harmony and melody, as well as lyrics can blend into making quality music. I love classics and I I feel like all music, regardless of genres should emulate the classics of the 70's , early and late 80's to early 90's.
I remember when this album came out. I put it on in my car for the first time and hit play and this started with that iconic intro. I was HOOKED. And then it kept playing masterpiece after masterpiece after masterpiece. I rode the highway the whole length of the album one time, turned around and listen to it again the way back. Those years were probably the golden age of humanity. Beautiful memories.

The perfect opening song for their album. Give Life Back to Music is a song that makes you want to head to the dance floor. I finally got my "Random Access Memories" Vinly today, and listened "Give Life Back To Music" first.
It was... fascinating.
how are you doing these days?
This is a worldwide hit, and there's only three goddamn sentences in it. I use this song as supporting evidence for my argument that music is, first and foremost, a way of expressing, disseminating, nurturing, and revealing feelings WITHOUT the use of any words. Just sound, nothing else. Language is a magnificent human legacy and words open our horizons of expression beyond any limit - but even such an advanced process becomes clunky and cumbersome when it comes to expressing our inner emotions and energies.
Daft Punk are fantastic for their ability to reach right into listeners' hearts and minds, and liberate their emotions.
Daniel Branescu this is an old comment, but I think your comment should ha e got more recognition than it did.
Daniel Branescu I screenshotted this comment for further reading down the road...

***** Haha yea, fry was a great character, him and bender are tied for my favorite characters from futurama.
Apparently this whole album's mastering was a comment on the so-called loudness wars. The mastering engineers intentionally didn't compress the dynamic volume levels, unlike what is done on most songs in the competition to be louder.
+Shane Bowman I use daft punk songs as reference for checking headphones.
+Shane Bowman Hmm, so if I'm understanding you right, this album is a testament to how daft punk feels about the loudness wars amidst other inspirations that made this album?
