@@stutigangwar902 they asked the reason of my drop nothing much , they dint go into details in depth. I stated I had some personal family problems and expressed my concern over the gap. Be honest

@@shreyas__ nothing ,the first year I had a severe dipression from my failed business venture hence absolved from doing anything , the next two years I had to stay at home and help my mother as she had a major spine surgery during peak pandemic and needed assistance for everything . I kept my touch with financial studies through courses but never seeked for a job due to prior commitment . My days were mostly juggled between retail investment and house help.

But how do they expect a candidate to work a job and prepare for CAT simultaneously? Many people take a year off (after undergrad studies) to prepare for CAT and still don't get the score they expected...

That's a bit tricky. But it's not impossible. Have your inclination more towards E-MBA or GMAT.

Sir I don't understand one thing ..that if a student performed poorly in school and graduation but performs exceptionally well during his MBA...even after that he/she won't be allowed to sit for the placements just because of his past sins???

You might not have a crack at a couple of companies at most, but that does not mean that you cannot sit for placements into any company.

Aim for 99.8+ to get 4 out of top 5 calls...otherwise get a good XAT score and perform excellently in the GDPI. I had 9-7-7 so I aimed for XL, IIMC and FMS.

@@nidhikashyap2338 For those colleges, year gap does not matter at all. However, I am not so sure about NIBM.

Sir I wanted to know something, After 12th i dropped for 2 years for JEE and got into a decent NIT at the age of 20, I'll be completing my B.Tech at the age of 24, also, My 10th and 12th Grades are 91% and 82% respectively, is their any chance for me to get into IIM's or will these 2 year gap cause a great hinderance?

Yes you can. Get a fantastic CAT score to be eligible for a call.

Pursuing from INDIRA GANDHI NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY ( IGNOU ) and Simultaneously also pursing CA Intermediate..There's gap of 2 years in my grad. like ( I should have started in 2017 but I took admission in 2019 ) , So how it will affect my selection in B schools n campus placements later on..? @@harikadayanand8019 Well IIMs n Top 10 b schools will definitely question about it.. N it will be tough to convince them.. But we have no other option.. N about other b schools.. Naah.. It won't that much.

@@harikadayanand8019 Well if you present papers as records they may or may not verify but it should be with you.. In case if they ask then you should not go blank.. N if starting grad. now... Pls don't take gap in between.. Complete it in 3 years so it will be bit easy for you..

Want honest reviews ...I am a bba graduate...no year gap before graduation ...graduated in 2019 ... I didn't applied for cat,cat,snap,nmat.... targetting cmat,SRCC ...if I score 95%ile in cmat or if I clear the cutoff of SRCC gbo... Will I be able to convert colleges ????...cause 3 year gap in acads is huge... I m targetting top. Colleges in cmat ..else no.... 10th 9.2 cgpa ,+2 68%, bba 69%

It will have some effect on your admission process, But it cannot be the only thing that hindering your admission. Prepare & nail the exam and then think about explaining the gap.

Scored 9.8 cgpa in 10th 9.2 cgpa in 12 th pcm and took a drop year after 12 th for entrance exam and now pursuing graduation will give cat 22 but this drop year bothers alot to me

Drop years before grad dont matter. Its drop years during and after grad that do. You have a great profile. Dont worry just focus on CAT. Score a high percentile and everything will be great.

@@aasthakumari9382 as long as you have finished your graduation it wont matter in the first round. Might get questioned in interview do have a answer ready
