    I love that her fingers are dirty and that what she is sharing is not over produced. It is good to have an authentic look.

    My oldest daughter is building her own garden and gets my excitement over compost. My other 3 adult children do not see the appeal in a huge well rotted pile of sheep manure.
    But they will.

    My plot is 40 x 10 metres (just plowed with mulch mixed through heavy clay), and I've mapped out 16 flower beds at 1.2 x 10 metres, with 80cm walkways between. With your walkways so narrow, I'd like to see how you harvest with your cart, so that I might copy your narrow paths and have more room for flowers. Perhaps I could alternate and have every 2nd path a thin one of 40cm. What a brain-wave. I'll have to do another map and see if it gets me a couple of extra beds! Thank you!

    Great video! Love the little plastic container idea for seed starts. I'm curious what the overhead on the containers was and where you sourced them? - If you are up for sharing. Sowing seeds for 3000 + flowers = the epitome of joy! I have a friend that uses strong dosings of effective microorganisms and weed block cloth to get an area clear of weeds and grass. Pretty effective, but does take a decent window of time. Cheers!

    Great video. What do you think to a moveable polytunnel for flower protection only when they need it. Looking forward to ur next jadam video. Thanks

    Hi, can you explain how you make the soil blocks and what you use as a growing medium, apologies if you’ve answered this elsewhere, only just found your channel. Very interesting channel btw😄👍👍

      Hi, I have done a video on soil blocks however it was the first video I made so it’s not great! I think an update is due soon. Glad you enjoy 😊

    Thank you, this is so helpful. Are you going to put your micro soil blocks into the mini ones when they grow bigger? How do you fit these into your greenhouse?

    • @bloomandgray
      @bloomandgray  4 роки тому +1

      Glad you found it helpful Holly! I am going to put them into pots or the large soil blocks. I will start hardening them off at this point too so some can go outside. I usually end up bodging some extra staging as well as space becomes tight 😂

    Thank you for this video. We are starting a flower field right now and this video is really helpful. Can you please give me an advice where I can buy a greenhouse like yours? Or the Polytunnel? Thank you very much!

    Can you not just cover the area with silage tarps to block out the light and kill off the weeds? Nice videos, keep up the great info😁

      Agreed! I used the heavy plastic, then pulled it up, (to use elsewhere), and put down cardboard with lots of manure and organic hay. It worked! My veggies were prolific and beautiful. Sprays of any kind are forbidden on my land.

    Will you please share the link to where I can buy the containers you used for your soils blocks? I’d love to try this method, I already have soil blocks. Also I’m starting my flower farm from scratch this coming spring! Loving that you made a video for this! It’s also in a grass field. I’ve planted cover crops already and plan to use the no dig method. Glad our philosophies align. Love watching your videos! Please link up and follow my channel as well, we could be flower pals! Thanks for sharing!

    The weed killer is why it didn't take when you direct sowed. It would have been better to cut the turf off, lay down cardboard, add manure and top soil
