Still, to this day, the hardest dub tune I`ve ever heard. My gawd, the energy. I can just hope to hear it live one day. I will be there next year for the first time, can`t wait.
ya know what im 60 years old and when you do mushrooms or acid outside in thr countryside at night you can hear and feel a vibration the earth is humming all the animals know about it theres also a sound a throbbing if you like like a big electron inside the earth and it sounds like the mighty earthquake haha true peace and love to everyone
Sounds like you enjoy yourself out in Nature 😄 l can hear the sound of silence everyday, no matter where I am, even over the noise of the day sometimes ❤
😢yeah your right mate just dealing with a marriage breakdown of 40 years I'm a lost soul tbh trying to see a way forward thanks for your empathy chestnut
I never want to be at a dance crammed up against a dividing fence staring at the DJ sound men. Give me five feet of space so I can rock to the music. When did people start staring at the DJ? It's not Run DMC on stage.
This is not dub, reggae or roots muzik, this is a digital 'fake'! It is quick, cheap & easy to produce! It is an insult to the reggae singers, musicians & engineers from the 70s & 80s who made real reggae muzik with much creativity, skill & talent! This noise that many choose to play today is nothing like real dub or reggae just electronic noise! Rubbish in my opinion . Time you labelled it something else because it ain't Reggae, Dub or Roots!
It's sound system music, I would agree that it isn't 70's roots or dub. But it isn't fake either. Sound system music and reggae have always been linked, sound systems are the life blood of reggae and always have been. It is version culture, face it, many songs recorded were intended for home listening, maybe some radio play and maybe international export, but what was played on the streets of Kingston was probably versioned, and changed, each sound system with their own unique sound. I really would encourage you to attend an event like this. I personally do not listen to this song at home, I am not meant to, it is about the sound system itself and the tune. IN the moment, at the event, the bass is potent, unifying and promotes peace. Which probably is quite reggaish. Also I m not trying to be a dick, I have held the same view, but I changed when I felt it, joined the dance- Powerful stuff, give it a chance. also a lot of bass lines and riddims have been copied and versioned hundreds of time. You can trace dub tracks back to the reggae track, then back to the rocksteady tracks, lets be honest. I dropped out of reggae into the 80's because of the endless versioning of the same limited tunes, no musicians were being paid, reggae went digital along time ago..Anyway I agree in some ways, but my feet don't lie, that bass gets you moving. If anyone is going to Dub CAmp this year, see you there, it's going to be DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.
You're just another follow fashion fool like the rest who listen to this rubbish! You haven't a clue how sound system should be run! You obviously know nothing about real reggae muzik & sound system! ..By the way is that how they spell in you're country or are you trying to be someone you're not!!!
That's an interesting comment, I think that sometimes the simplest "quick cheap and easy" tunes style are the heaviest when it comes to sound system last tunes business... I see this tune as a secret weapon for him. I mean King Earthquake has produced so many tunes that his talent and influence are undeniable imo...
In my opinion there is no skill involved to produce this digital rubbish that's why there's so many sound systems producing & playing it! The fact that it 'drops heavy' doesn't relate in any way to quality muzik does it? Real reggae should be left as it was and people like earthquake & others who choose to promote this digital rubbish should label it something else! It is not reggae dub or roots sound system muzik!

Dub comes from African roots 🙄
