Nowadays it’s impossibile. Arts and musics depend on social and economical conditions, in the 1990s we were in peace, no pandemics, no recession, no inflation so we could listen to this kind of songs. Nowadays we have war in Europe, recession, still Covid, do you really think the majority of people would listen to a song like this?
"Go Cheetah, get banana. Hey monkey, get funky" HAHAHAHA It's killing meeeeee. I can't stop listening this. This is so funny, silly and cute!!! It makes me really happy. An they are so lovely together!!!! JEEZ
Truly the best version of pop music. Exists to have fun and to help other people have fun, and proud of that fact. No soulless, data-driven, formulaic lyrics, just a simple narrative and a fun ride from beginning to end.
@@ayanp353 Not really. I can't think of another pop song about Tarzan and Jane. Most I can think of approach love, lust, sex, partying and success from a similar angle.
This song was popular in my happiest part of my life about 20 y ago. Its so silly but make me happy and smailing still today even though I'm 45 years old. Love it
we, the 90's kids were definitely exposed to some weird adult things that would be clearly "restricted" for today's kids. it was so fun seeing the world as it is and not sugar-coated or as you can say "adult-supervised".

This song has been periodically stuck in my head for 12 years. I can’t believe my first grade dance teacher planned to make us use this at a recital 💀 so glad she changed her mind, because I wouldn’t have been allowed to dance afterwards lol

Well well well, goes to show how innocent we were all back then. I used to sing this song out loud & loved it while today I understand an entirely different interpretation 😂😂
My childhood is ruined. Hahahahaha. This kind of music I listened when I was kid doesn't mean anything but a fun music, but now that I'm adult-hahahahahaha. Well, this song is still a bop and nostalgic.
Listening to this as an adult is absolutely hilarious - it's like watching the Simpsons and South Park. You only notice all the best laughs afterwards.
This is so embarrassingly bad and yet so damn catchy. Most people thought for years this was an Aqua song, and it's easy to see why. It's like they were trying to outdo Aqua's "Barbie Girl". Actually, now that I think about it, I think that's EXACTLY what they were trying to do. Everything about Toy-Box, from their sound, to the "female vocalist with cartoonishly high voice and male vocalist with exaggerated deep voice" to the silly demeanor of their songs and videos, and the fact that all of their music videos open with that "TOY-BOX PICTURES" thing with the little retro tone, which is just like how all Aqua's videos opened with "PRESENTED IN AQUASCOPE" with another retro tone, is all one big ripoff of Aqua.
+dimmkah Well, yeah, but the sugar-coated, childish looking/sounding lyrics, voices and catchy pop rythm became more of a characteristic of the bubblegum dance genre rather than Aqua's seal (despite they bringing the genre itself, if I recall). I can see why you say that though, the aesthetics of the videos and the intro really are a hard try from ToyBox.
+dimmkah Actually, both Aqua and Toy Box are part of a 90s European Theme called "Bubblegum Pop." It's basically what both of them sang. There's a few others that are known to have followed this genre and there's a few groups that still do this.

My name is Tarzan, I am Jungle-man

I am Tarzan from Jungle,

I am Jane, and I love to ride an elephant
When you touch me, I feel funny
I feel it too, when you're touching me
Come to my tree-house, to my party
Yes, I'll go if you carry me
Tarzan is handsome, full of surprise
He's really cute, and his hair is nice
Tarzan is handsome, Tarzan is strong
So listen to the Jungle-song:
I am Tarzan from Jungle, you can be my friend
I am Jane, and I love to ride an elephant
Go Cheetah, get banana
Hey monkey, get funky
When I am dancing, I feel funky
Why do you keep ignoring me?
Tarzan is here, come, kiss me, baby
Oochie coochie kiss me tenderly
Tarzan is handsome, Tarzan is strong
He's really cute, and his hair is long
Tarzan is handsome, Tarzan is strong
So listen to the Jungle-song:
