* What you call Aqua is what is usually called "Mermaids Tears" & make Lovely jewelry.. Still love your enthusiasm & your kindness to your Dog friend.. ~ There is so much that I am surprised you aren't on your knees inching your way thru the pieces & dragging a huge bag behind you. LOL..
Those are some lovely bubbles you found! I love your laugh, I find myself smiling every time I hear it, that's a precious gift. Poor Bear, she'll be sorry to miss adventures with you, my pup is 16 and I see her happiness when I take her hiking, and her pain when we come back. Being a fur baby Mom isn't easy. Have a wonderful week!
Loved the video! Chicken with the waves, so much fun! Fantastic finds. The cobalt blue are my favorite but those aqua bubbles are just perfect! And thanks for sharing Bear pics, she’s so beautiful.
There looked like a piece of sea pottery just as you picked up the chunky glass piece at 20:12. That is an amazing round chunky piece of amber at 26:30, if I wore jewelry, I'd buy it.
Wow you really were rewarded with some beautiful glass Francesca. It’s a very inaccessible part of the coast so we’ll done to you both, great team work…Bear is so adorable 🥰.
Hiya, great video as ever. The white blob you found looks like a face from the side 😂. I watched Manchester mudlarks yesterday and Sarah mentioned you. Which I thought was great.
Subscribed! Such sweet finds there ❤ i film for my channel and often find littles on Lake Huron, Canada! Thanks for sharing all your lovely finds. That chunky aqua is gorgeous!
The glass is all so well-worn, and I especially love the bubbles! The big aqua bubble was my favorite! Bear is such a sweet dog!! Is there a path down to this beach, or did you just have to scramble? Thanks for an amazing outing!! Take care! 🙏❤️
There’s a path but it’s very steep and windy. It goes under the vid it. There’s also steps the other side of the beach but they’re practically vertical!
@@welshinwellies Thanks for this info! May be a little intense for us, if my hubby and I ever get our long-awaited trip over the pond! It looks incredible, though! Thanks for sharing! I’m a new subscriber and I’m watching all of your videos! You do a great job and I love your work!🙏❤️
Do you make jewelry with your finds? Do you sell any of your work, if you do??? Love the Aqua Bubbles and the Cornflower glass.. Is there any way to buy them? Are you on Etsy?
Hey. I need some advice. When coming to hunt seaglass, should I wear waterproof boots or will hoka shoes be ok? Coming from the US so have to pack the boots- will do if you think it will help me alot. thanks!
Yes the goat track that leads down from the cliffs is treacherous. You can get to it from Hawthorn Hive at low tide but that carries its own risks too - being cut off and the walk is very rocky!
@Welsh in Wellies Im very aware of the dangers and would never attempt to access it. The rocks at low tide are very treacherous, and a guy broke his ankle going over them. This area should not be promoted.
24:10!!! That’s exactly what I was looking for today!! Grrr 😂😂
I would love to see some of the jewelry you make. Your finds are lovely.
Wow the aqua blue bubble is awesome well done xx
Enjoy your videos and the information you share with us
I’m so glad!
I am absolutely in love with the cobalt blue finds! They are my favorite.
They’re so rare and vibrant!

Believe me I would 😂 but it’s so physically draining at some point you’ve got to draw the line haha

Thanks Charlotte! I was a rough hike 😂 I was fuming in the beginning when I thought it was all for nothing! Gladly I was proven wrong.

You missed a piece of sea pottery when bear went into the sea pond x
Noooooooo 😫
Your fingers look so cold. Good finds.
You found some really nice ones, but I think you did`nt find any red this time? And multi and pieces of porcelain is nice.
No red sadly! Still on the lookout!

I do make bits and pieces of jewellery - I’ve got a couple of videos up of how I do it. I haven’t thought to sell them to be honest!
What time of year is it best to go to Seaham?
Have you ever gotten cut off by the tide coming in stranding you on the beach? 😮
No I’m very very careful and always make sure I’m aware of what the tide is doing. No sea glass is worth the risk ❤️

Absolutely wellies are essential! But you can buy them here and save space in your case!
Thanks!
Shippersea Bay is extremely dangerous to access. A woman was airlifted to hospital trying to access it.
