When I saw him ignoring the rear cam I gave him my like 👍 seriously, great video. I’m waiting for mine to be built… nice to hear how good is after some use.
I’ve mirrors and eyes for manoeuvres, reversing camera for the last of the positioning of the car The camera can make the manoeuvres harder sometimes Which model have you ordered
@@paul_nwsxs It seems every market has different models. In Italy I ordered the Style configuration. It should be more or less the same as the Design on uk market.
Thank you for this review, it kicked my backside down to my local dealership and I placed an order for the Excel trim in he pearlesent red. I fancied the GR Sport, but with the 18'" wheels I felt that the ride maybe too harsh (i have 18s on my current car, so i know how they would feel in a much smaller car) Now for the long wait. Im looking forward to the great mpg from the Yaris, as I'm only getting 27 mpg from my current car.
The vehicle’s I own are business registered, the reason for changing Vehicles as often is all to do with the way ours government set up the taxes and incentives for businesses Nothing more than a tax incentive
I agree that the Yaris is an amazing car. Last week I achieved 81 MPG on a round trip from north of England to south of London, admittedly driving slower on motorways when I could, but never expected 81 MGP for motorway driving. Thinking of upgrading. Anyone got a view on whether 17-inch tyres reduce the drive quality compared with 16-inch?
I’ve access to both a 16 inch design model and a 17 inch dynamic model The 16 is softer sprung and different shocks and drives very smooth and comfortable on British roads The 17 is harder spring and more sporty shocks, it still drives very smooth but can sometimes be scitish on bumper corners when pushing hard The 17 inch is the better performing car when pushed hard on a good a road and even more fun on a track Yes I do track days in my dynamic and it’s also done Nurburgring On the Nurburgring trip including 2 days at the track we managed 65mpg on an average for the trip I’m waiting to see how my new GR Sport rides on 18 inch wheels Which i suspect is going to be very hard but handle even better than either Yaris with 16 or 17 inch wheels I’m pleased you’re happy with your Yaris they are amazing little car’s
@@paul_nwsxs Thanks, your comparison is helpful to me. I think I would also appreciate the 17 wheel drivability but my brain tells me to go for the 16 Design as I mostly do boring driving on poor UK roads! Also not sure about the pale interior and blue ambient lighting in the Excel! Sadly they have removed the Dynamic and the JBL speakers which I wanted! Your vids helped me get started with my Icon a year ago. No regrets but dealer keeps offering me quotes because of the demand for nearly new used cars so might upgrade to Design for the LED headlights. Know you’ll make the most of your GR Sport and enjoy those big wheels!
Nice little vid of your Yaris. Very enjoyable 🙂 I’ve currently got a 2.0 Corolla GR Sport in Silver Pearl Bi-tone and I’ve just traded it in for a lovely new 1.5 Yaris GR Sport in Black with the city pack and dashcams. Only downside is a 9 month lead time but at least i get to enjoy the summer/autumn in the Corolla before I get the Yaris (I drive my old man’s Yaris Design regularly so already very familiar with the car) 🙂
I’m hoping I get the GR Sport sometime in September Looking forward to seeing how it compares to my Dynamic especially when I go and take it on a track day
It comes down to where you live and what the equivalent dealerships are like. The Mazda 2 variant only gets Mazda’s standard warranty which in truth pales to the standard Toyota warranty (3yrs vs 5yrs) let alone Toyota’s Relax warranty scheme which etxends to 15yrs total! That’s in the U.K. mind, could be different elsewhere
Good point. Im the same. The difference are the Mazda is more expensive used currently, the Yaris value has dropped quite considerably for some odd reason. Second thing is the Mazda comes with 15 inch wheels on the Agile model. A big difference in ride quality. Ive tested two Yaris on 16 inch wheels, you feel the poor surfaces more than you should for a £20k plus small car.
@@mikesanders5433its 10 years in total. Once you get to 3 years, get it serviced at a Toyota dealer and they give you another years warranty up to a maximum 10 years. They did away with the five year warranty before 2021. Ive just checked their website.
I bought my own used MK3 Yaris hybrid and used it for business. I have ordered the new MK4 excel for next year. Though I plan to pay it off, it works better for my business this way than lease.
i normally change my car every 2 years or 40000 to 50000 miles , and with the current market the price of good clean second hand cars means selling now means i get a very good price back , it also put,s someone into a hybrid that possible does not want to wait to purchase new and wait anything up to 12 months to get a car i,m also upgrading to a higher spec
