also it´s good to see chiyo also changes. in her first appearence she doesn't trust the other villages and says they can't rely on that and before that she also participated in the sealing of shukaku in gaara to make him a weapon. but this changes with the time she spent with team 7.
Honestly, if Sasuke’s goal is as to eliminate the elders like Danzo and these two instead of destroying the Leaf Village, I think he would be totally justified.

it was so satisfying when how tsunade finally had enough of their crap during the pain arc to hold them by the collars and lectured them about how they viewed the future of the leaf and Naruto. In the pain arc both of them wanted Naruto to stay hidden in the toad village away from the leaf while pain raided the place down and said tsunade was a bad leader for wanting naruto to return with her saying they need to place more trust in Naruto and the younger generation both of them then realized she had a point. They also got on her about letting Naruto go on the mission to save gaara saying it was a bad decision but in reality her decision brought the leaf and sand closer together because of Naruto and Gaara hell gaara would use the experience to go on and try to convince the other kage to be more open to other nations which got through to onooki
Perhaps i have treated Tsunade too harshly on her run as Hokage. The fact that she had a lot on her plate but was able to stand her ground against those two makes me give her a thumbs up.
Those two along with Danzo are the reasons why Hiruzen Sarutobi lost his backbone and couldn't run the Leaf Village the way all Kages were supposed to run their villages and was unable to give Naruto the support he needed during his darkest times as a child. I'm glad that Tsunade was the Fifth Hokage of the Leaf Village and was able to do what her Sensei couldn't do for Naruto's sake and for the sake of the Leaf Village, and should be respected and admired throughout the Elemental Nation.
It actually makes sense for Jiraiya to believe Tsunade can deal with these geezers best. Also being hokage is like being an atlas of control for Danzo if you are weak

He's most likely the reason they are the way they are. HIS bigotry against the Uchiha filtered down into them and they never trusted the Uchiha clan because of Tobirama. Thankfully, he ruled for the 2nd shortest time out of all the Hokage at 2 years (the shortest time was Minato for just 1 year.)
The uchihas were psychopaths and they are probably the reason Tobirama is the way he is. They killed their friends and relatives to unlock new abilities.

I do agree on the part he was far from fond of the Uchiha and this bias likely was felt by many though, it is also hard to blame him for hating the clan who took so many of his own. And even then, I think he tried to control it due to respecting his older brother's wish and dream. But, some of his decision, from a pure practical and pragmatic standpoint weren't that bad. Uchiha are the best clan to serve as a police force inside Konoha, for example. They are the founders along with the Senju. They have the ability to incapacitate anyone with just a single eye contact. So, in a village where there were risks of tensions when it was newly formed... you need a clan who can pacifically deescalate any situation and is strong enough that people would think twice before causing problem. And, yeah, the Uchiha are the perfect fit for this, I think nobody could desagree with that. And, in Tobirama's opinion, it may even have been an honor toward the Uchiha to entrust them with the inner peace and safety of the village. He is also the guy who said that there was no clan that loved more deeply and intensely as the Uchiha, which correct a propaganda Tobirama would have grew up hearing that Uchiha are obsessed with power while Senju values love. The negative thing about it can be seen as another warning that, if the Uchiha loves more intensely than anybody else, then you should never want to receive their hatred, as it would be even stronger that the love you took away from them. Which you could translate as : "No matter what you do, do not touch what a Uchiha love. You will regret it". Even if you wanna point out the fact that he found it by studying the sharingan, we don't know why he studied it or when excalty for that matter. It could be that he did so to find a way to fight against the sharingan, maybe because he didn't trust the Uchiha, or because they were still enemies at the time. But, it could as well be that he did so, because he knew that what humanity fears the most is what they can't understand, and that to make it so the people in Konoha would not be afraid nor hate the Uchiha for their sharingan, there was a need to understand the sharingan. Because once you understand how it works, you won't have a reason to fear it anymore. And so, it should lessen the fear and hatred people would have toward the sharingan. Both ways of thinking seem like they could be I don't find those to be thing to hear from a guy who hates them (especially as much as your comparaison with Hitler). And, the Uchiha neighborhood did not exist during Tobirama's time, so no, he was not the one to geographically isolate them from the others.

If Danoz cared about protecting the village he wouldn't have ordered the one clan that possesses a known weaknesses of the Nine-Tails to stay away from the battle and lead the evacuation. Most of the people who died in the Nine-Taile's attack probably died because Danoz prevented the Uchiha from breaking Kurama out of Obito's genjutsu and putting him under one of their own.

The third didn't even want to be Hokage again. He only stepped in because Minato had died and Fugaku was too bitter that the Uchiha were under suspicion for the nine tails attack. He could have probably gone down as one of the best hokage but his 2nd stint ruined his legacy.

These two enable Danzo who not only hid during Pain's assault but also killed the Toad to reverse summon Naruto back to the leaf, resulting in him being unable to get back in time! Sure, it likely resulted in Naruto getting more time to train with Sage Jutsu and prep his Shadow Clones, but it prevented Naruto & the Toads from assisting in protecting the Leaf Village! They got lucky Naruto talked Nagato down, and Nagoto sacrificed his life to revive those he killed as Pain (including Kakashi)! Again, Danzo doesn't do anything to help the situation with Pain and is actually responsible for Nagato becoming Pain in the first place due to Danzo conspiring with Hanzo against the early Akatsuki (before it was corrupted by Tobi)! These two are utter fools who fail to see Danzo as the scheming @$$hole he is! Danzo acts like everything he does is for the village, but actually, sabotages any potential roads to peace! Danzo & the two Elders are basically stuck in the past as they fail to see peaceful solutions to issues like the prospect of the Uchiha Clan staging a coup cause of their mistreatment due to suspicions they were involved in the Ninetails attack, when it was actually the disillusioned Obito who had been manipulated by Madara to take his identity to carry out Project Tsukyomi! Mind you they had no way of knowing this, but none of them seem to be in favor of seeking peace with the Uchiha, despite both having served alongside a Uchiha! They should have tried to mend fences with the Uchiha, but instead, they feared they'd turn on the Village like Madara did! Sure, Itachi's dad being a part of the "Madara" splinter faction that was planning the coup might have convinced them they would betray the Village like their group's namesake, there was still an opportunity to deescalate the situation! Shishi's brainwashing plan was kind of messed up, and even Itachi even questioned if slaughtering his clan to protect Sasuke was the right call as he admitted he maybe should have come to Sasuke & worked with him to convince their father to seek peace maybe by reminding him what was at stake (he might have listened given how he and his wife ultimately accepted death at Itachi's hands to protect Sasuke indicating the brothers might have been able to convince their father to work with the Third rather than sparking a conflict over control of the Leaf Village which the other villages would probably take advantage of)! They never truly understood the Will of Fire like the Hokage did and carried on the practices of the Second Hokage, which alienated the Uchiha! They saw Danzo as a true patriot to the Leaf Village, not the villain who failed to protect the village cause he favored war over peace & never truly understood what it meant to be Hokage! Itachi, due to his loyalty to the village, was I think a prime candidate to succeed the Third after Minato's death given his personality! But, due to Danzo's actions, Itachi was forced to exterminate his clan to spare Sasuke and maintain peace! Danzo also stole the eye of Shishi to gain his mind control genjutsu, killing another Uchiha loyal to the Leaf Village! Danzo & the Elders sacrificed Itachi a man who could have been a great Hokage (I mean, he was stronger than even Akatsuki Orochimaru & likely would have survived the Sound & Sand Village invasion of the Leaf Village due to being stronger than Orochimaru! Heck, he might not have even contracted his illness as again he'd have access to the Leaf medical core & if necessary could seek out Tsunade (he couldn't do this while an S-Class criminal and Akatsuki member as Tsunade likely didn't know his betrayal was a cover up to conceal the council's role in sanctioning the Massacre without the 3rd's approval)! Regardless of how loyal they think they & Danzo are to the village, they fail to see other people's loyalty to the village in others like Tsunade, as they see her as a spoiled granddaughter of the First Hokage which is why they chose Jiraya over her! Naruto is just a container of the Ninetails to them & I wouldn't be surprised if they encouraged the village's mistreatment of Naruto despite knowing full well he was the son of Kushina & Minato (they had to recognize this cause of their position)!

Hiding Naruto in frog mountain away from Pain is more logical. They want to rely on Konoha's military strength to repel Pain. Those 3 elders acts like a foil on the Hokage so that she can reconsider any foolish decisions like negotiating with the uchihas and relying on Naruto to save the village.

Yeah, The third Hokage was kinda neglectful of Naruto despite his promise to Kushina. Best thing he did for the kid was save a scarf knitted by his mother that he didn't even deliver to him while alive (Konohamaru discovered it during the Last). I dont think Koharu & Homura had any obligation towards Naruto tho, they just treated him as a WMD, and wanted to keep him trapped somewhere in the village
They're called the 2 advisors, and idk how much political power they truly hold, but they seem to be well connected to the Land of Fire Feudal Lord & his council. After Tsunade's in a comma, they were the ones negotiating with the Feudal Lord for resourced to rebuild the village

U can’t apply today’s soft, weak attitudes to the harsh ninja world. The village is a military installment. They do battle to protect the fire nation. The older generation come from an even harder era that was made better by the actions they took. Mostly so children weren’t being killed by adults. Then the show is showing the evolution of thinking and actions how it affects the society. They are purposeful to the story.
One would think Sasuke made for a terrible criminal, considering the only really bad thing he did was attack Killer B, and Sakura and Naruto near the end. Most of his defection was him doing nothing, or wiping out traitors/enemies of the leaf.

Konoha Elders of Naruto, are like the Minister Fudge of Harry Potter. Corrupt and shady political men that were a thorn for the protagonists, adding that they were responsibles from some particular problems that would be prevented or at least controlled; Uchiha clan massacre and Death Eaters getting power. And to insult to injury, Konoha Elders and Fudge get little to no karma for their actions, despite to caused so much problems in their respectives stories.
It really sucks that Danzo, Homura, and Koharu’s influence made Hiruzen the worst Hokage. With the exception of Hiruzen breaking Kushina’s promise by not taking care of Naruto, he was a pretty nice guy. But unfortunately, Hiruzen allowed his Hokage position to be treated like a democracy; putting it up for a vote between Danzo, Homura, Koharu, and himself. The Hokage is supposed to call the shots no matter what, but Hiruzen was too indecisive to stick to his guns. That’s why Tsunade is a much better Hokage than Hiruzen, because she stands by her decisions and doesn’t let the higher-ups completely sway her. It’s really good that Tsunade made Danzo, Homura, and Koharu hate her.

(they killed neji's father because they tried to kidnap hinata and btw also tried to steal kurama the nine tailed fox in the past twice) to try an attack naruto so he made the right call by having him isolate in an undisclosed location away from enemies was it fucked up to do a young kid? well of course it was! he didn't have parents or siblings to keep him company but you know what he still had friends in the form of shikamaru,choji, sasuke, and Teuchi (the ramen stall owner.) and iruka. and hiruzen still went to go visit him every month to give him allowance to use for everything he needed an had the rent for his apartment completely paid for him and had him sent to the ninja academy. people need to stop with this unnecessary anger towards the oldman he did his best with what he had available it wasn't his doing that naruto's parents died or his wife died trying to protect naruto and his mom. an besides which he loved all his shinobi he says so he wasn't playing favorites with anyone except for orochimaru years ago before naruto's birth an that you could say was his undoing for being too kind and too forgiving of a person when he should have stopped orochimaru and should have exiled Danzo or placed him prison.

@rgama1173 no they didn't, minus I think Haku but there It was literally the entire village so not sure if that counts. It was definitely the leadership or the groups that get called out for their actions. That or by the time they get called out things are changing and the people responsible are dead or dealt with. No idea what happens in boruto so can't comment there. Not saying the leaf was innocent or didn't cause problems, they definitely did, but it wasn't just them. It was all the villages and ninja society that caused this and needed to he changed nit just konoha.
I doubt Tobirama would be very proud of of his students. Yeah he was a hardass and guilty of creating Edo Tensei but I doubt he would ever approve of what Danzo and the elders did. There is a good reason why Tobirama chose Hiruzen over Danzo.

I liked when Sasuke's revenge was focused and targeted, but after he killed Danzo, he escalated too quickly. At the end, Sasuke plan sounded like Lelouch from Code Geass, but without staging his own death.

Crazy thing is every other Jinchuriki gets captured but their village survives. Konoha gets annihilated, just absolutely destroyed, and Naruto's not even present. Pain did it out of spite because when Naruto does show up, he continues the massacre. To top it all off his hate for Konoha is a direct result of Hiruzens administration and Danzo's meddling in the Hidden Rain.

It's not really crazy. Some of the other hosts were basically kicked out by their home villages, and Yugito(host of the 2 tailed cat) was captured somewhere away from the Cloud. Given Akatsuki's limited resources, it made sense for them to capture the hosts as quietly as possible.
There's a decent chance Koharu and Hamura also didn't know that the Akatsuki becoming a Terrorist group was Danzo's fault. If they knew, I feel like they would've conflicted on their support of him, at best.

The one thing that could be credited to Danzo was preventing a 'potential' civil war by massacring an entire fkn clan. @@moatazabdelraouf4059 Nah Danzo dind't prevent anything, he WANTED it to happen, that's why he pushed the idea of isolating them even more, harassed them, somehow push Hiruzen again with the idea of not letting them help in Kurama's attack which only stirred more public hatred for them and made Uchihas more mad for a reasonable thing, and then stopped Shisui and Itachi from delaying the coup to try and reach a peaceful solution. If anything, Danzo staged the Uchiha's coup, to get all of their sharingans, he's the worst cancer konoha ever had, even worse than Orochimaru himself.

Danzo was just selfish and greedy, he wanted power for himself and that's what he demonstrated with his actions, no matter the glazed wording they use to describe his inexistent "pro-konoha heroism", he's as much a terrorist as any other we had, and selfish, didn't care about the lives of anyone, not in his village, not in the world, he wanted hokage, and even more he wanted the chief of shinobi alliance power as well.
Rather than evil, they're obcessed with their rotten ideals, they probably didn't hate anyone, not even the uchihas, but they're so obcessed with the mission to preserve konoha that they will do whatever they consider necessary to preserve "konoha's peace", regardless of the human cost and it's consequences, they probably considered jiraya the best candidate other than danzo, as tsunade was a broken woman and orochimaru was the most feared threat to the leaf at the time, and danzo probably didn't propose it as he considered himself better suited as the leader of anbu at that time, they probably didn't like jiraya, he simply was the better choice at hand at that time, bet they would've even chosen an Uchiha had they not labeled them as a threat that needed to be elimimated. They are worse than evil, they're fundamentalists in power.
Desperation. Jiraya was strong and experienced ninja No idea why they didn’t nominate Danzo but it may have had something to do with Itachi Since canon wise even, Itachi chose to return to the leaf after Hiruzen died to threaten Danzo
There are several issues they had. 1st, they didn't recognize the next generation and thought they had to solve all the problems. They literally didn't fully acknowledge a 50 year old like Tsunade like an adult...... which is a huge problem. 2nd, they didn't understand that times were changing. They saw 3 wars and assumed everything was the same... but ignore the fact that things were much different than their days. 3rd, they honestly just had issues understanding that they probably shouldn't be in charge anymore.
The disrespect when the call her "Princess Tsunade" , that was a slight that would have told Tsunade all that she had to know about how they'll both "peacefully" pass away in their sleep. After all it's awfully strange how the younger Hokages have to file all that paperwork , yet the two elders have such free time . Administrational restructuring is what the village needed at least, not a Hokage that is always exhausted cause he does all the work while the elders live such a carefree life that they'll soon reach a century .
Danzo wants to protect HIS village. As in, he wants to be leading this village himself officially. He would do whatever it took to that point to get there. These two were just being used for the ride. It's even more insulting that not only are they still alive during the Boruto era, they're still in positions of power.
At least in anime canon with the Kakashi anbu arc they show that they don't just blindly follow Danzo as when he is talking smack about Hiruzen letting Minato die during the nine tails attack Homaru emediatley tells Danzo that this was too far and Koharu even directly asks Danzo where he was during the attack. Both trusted Hiruzen as hokage above Danzo at this point and Minato above Orochimaru so they wherent completley extremists to Danzos level. There is also nothing to say taht they knew about all of Danzos dirty deals with Orochimaru and the akatsuki etc. As far as they knew Danzo was just their long time friend and comrade who was willing to do what was necesary for the village and Danzo did genuenly belive that his actions where for the greater good of the village even though he was pretty hyppocritical about it. With the Uchiha massacare as far as they knew it was either massacareing the Uchiha or let them revolt witch would cause civil war and potentially a fourth shinobi war because of the leaf being weakend. If they knew that Danzo was fucking around behind the scenes maybe they would not have gone with it. Also tecknically speaking a Uchiha was behind the attack just not one in the village so its not like they where necesaryily wrong about that. They where also on the front lines fighting against Kurama during the attack althoug in the anime canon the ages are kinda mixed upp but whatever. Being elders of konoha they basically have diplomatic immunity considering that Kakashi finding out that Sauske killed a elder aka Danzo basically disgusted him and this is despite the fact that he knew what kinda dude Danzo was. He probably didn't really care that it was Danzo but actually killing the elders just for disagreeing with their proposals would probably be tantamount to treason. In Boruto they basically ask if its smart to have mitsuki in the village because of his ties to Orochimaru witch is pretty valid. They do value naruto more as a jinchuriki than a person but its not like its completley unreasonable considering the stakes. All in all while they arent as nice as Hiruzen they clearly are nowhere near Danzos level of scumbaggery and as far as we know they have no knowledge that would make them distrust Danzo because its not like he was ever open about his dealings with Orochimaru etc. Their care for the village is also definatley more genuine than his as they actually do have some amount of trust for Hiruzen and Minato hell they even wanted Jiraya to be hokage so clearly they arent the worst. Objectivly speaking most missingnin are probably morally lower than these two as unlike Danzo who actually did some real shady shit for the most part they are just kinda assholes instead of actually being legitimetly evil.
Also in the manga they don't actually blame tsunade for the destruction they just didn't want naruto to return because he was still a kid and pain killed Jiraya who was one of their greatest ninja. And again if naruto is captured by pain the whole world pays the price. And lastly this isn't really hyppocritical as they are fully willing to die with the village so naruto doesent fall to the akatsuki. Kinda hard to really argue against this.

He knew they were full of $HIT when they defended Danzo when all he did was sabotage the village, Hiruzen's, Itachi's, & Tsunade's efforts & actively ignored Tsunade's defense of the Leaf Village which was actively thwarted by Danzo due to his murder of the summon Toad & failure to join in the fight to confront the Akatsuki or deploy members of the Foundation to assist in fighting them! I would also love to see Sasuke call them out on how wrong they were about the Uchiha, especially Itachi! I hate it that the series doesn't just reveal the truth of Itachi's actions as I think it is important to learn from the past so as to not repeat the same mistakes! Sasuke has obviously put his grudge against them aside for the sake of the village, his friends, & family, but I still would want to see him interact with them, maybe if its even just a your decisions did more harm than good & you enabled Danzo to commit all sorts of crimes which created untold enemies for the Leaf (Orochimaru, Kabuto, Pain, & left Sasuke vulnerable to manipulation by Tobi acting as Madara)! Orochimaru's darker tendencies were encouraged by Danzo who used him to implant Sharingan into himself, Kabuto & his adoptive mother were unnecessarily sacrificed cause they knew too much (they weren't any threat to Danzo, but he was too paranoid of stuff getting traced back to him so tried to have them kill each other in an incredibly cruel manner by having Kabuto's mother not even realize who he was cause they tricked her into believing he was some other guy, with Kabuto only being saved by Orochimaru who took him in as a subordinate and something of a pupil/kindred spirit as both were lead into the darkness by Danzo)!

This creates Obito/Madara in both parts inadvertently which then lead to the blood line purges with Obito controlling yagura. The Kyuubi attack with him working with Obito letting him into the village security TWICE, Naruto's Treament was due to him leaking the info that then also lead into the Uchiha revolt and The Uchiha massacre, The Hyuuga Leak to cloud and more village security details (leading to that incident) The Sound Suna Invasion more security details and it was an opportunity to feed even more info into Orichimaru and gain a ton from Kabuto. Alot of children went MIA during this. This leads to Sasuke's kidnapping and Betrayal. God and that is only OG Naruto and the Prequels, Shippuden's entire plot might as well be his fault up to Kaguya. .... which given the track record He could have time traveled to kick all of THAT off.

it was so satisfying when how tsunade finally had enough of their crap during the pain arc to hold them by the collars and lectured them about how they viewed the future of the leaf and Naruto. In the pain arc both of them wanted Naruto to stay hidden in the toad village away from the leaf while pain raided the place down and said tsunade was a bad leader for wanting naruto to return with her saying they need to place more trust in Naruto and the younger generation both of them then realized she had a point.
They also got on her about letting Naruto go on the mission to save gaara saying it was a bad decision but in reality her decision brought the leaf and sand closer together because of Naruto and Gaara hell gaara would use the experience to go on and try to convince the other kage to be more open to other nations which got through to onooki
And Gaara also got to say that emotional rally speech at the beginning of the war which was amazing

Those two along with Danzo are the reasons why Hiruzen Sarutobi lost his backbone and couldn't run the Leaf Village the way all Kages were supposed to run their villages and was unable to give Naruto the support he needed during his darkest times as a child. I'm glad that Tsunade was the Fifth Hokage of the Leaf Village and was able to do what her Sensei couldn't do for Naruto's sake and for the sake of the Leaf Village, and should be respected and admired throughout the Elemental Nation.

I do agree on the part he was far from fond of the Uchiha and this bias likely was felt by many though, it is also hard to blame him for hating the clan who took so many of his own. And even then, I think he tried to control it due to respecting his older brother's wish and dream.
But, some of his decision, from a pure practical and pragmatic standpoint weren't that bad. Uchiha are the best clan to serve as a police force inside Konoha, for example.
They are the founders along with the Senju. They have the ability to incapacitate anyone with just a single eye contact. So, in a village where there were risks of tensions when it was newly formed... you need a clan who can pacifically deescalate any situation and is strong enough that people would think twice before causing problem. And, yeah, the Uchiha are the perfect fit for this, I think nobody could desagree with that. And, in Tobirama's opinion, it may even have been an honor toward the Uchiha to entrust them with the inner peace and safety of the village.
He is also the guy who said that there was no clan that loved more deeply and intensely as the Uchiha, which correct a propaganda Tobirama would have grew up hearing that Uchiha are obsessed with power while Senju values love. The negative thing about it can be seen as another warning that, if the Uchiha loves more intensely than anybody else, then you should never want to receive their hatred, as it would be even stronger that the love you took away from them. Which you could translate as : "No matter what you do, do not touch what a Uchiha love. You will regret it".
Even if you wanna point out the fact that he found it by studying the sharingan, we don't know why he studied it or when excalty for that matter. It could be that he did so to find a way to fight against the sharingan, maybe because he didn't trust the Uchiha, or because they were still enemies at the time. But, it could as well be that he did so, because he knew that what humanity fears the most is what they can't understand, and that to make it so the people in Konoha would not be afraid nor hate the Uchiha for their sharingan, there was a need to understand the sharingan. Because once you understand how it works, you won't have a reason to fear it anymore. And so, it should lessen the fear and hatred people would have toward the sharingan. If Danoz cared about protecting the village he wouldn't have ordered the one clan that possesses a known weaknesses of the Nine-Tails to stay away from the battle and lead the evacuation. Most of the people who died in the Nine-Taile's attack probably died because Danoz prevented the Uchiha from breaking Kurama out of Obito's genjutsu and putting him under one of their own.

Sure, it likely resulted in Naruto getting more time to train with Sage Jutsu and prep his Shadow Clones, but it prevented Naruto & the Toads from assisting in protecting the Leaf Village! They got lucky Naruto talked Nagato down, and Nagoto sacrificed his life to revive those he killed as Pain (including Kakashi)! Again, Danzo doesn't do anything to help the situation with Pain and is actually responsible for Nagato becoming Pain in the first place due to Danzo conspiring with Hanzo against the early Akatsuki (before it was corrupted by Tobi)!

They never truly understood the Will of Fire like the Hokage did and carried on the practices of the Second Hokage, which alienated the Uchiha! They saw Danzo as a true patriot to the Leaf Village, not the villain who failed to protect the village cause he favored war over peace & never truly understood what it meant to be Hokage! Itachi, due to his loyalty to the village, was I think a prime candidate to succeed the Third after Minato's death given his personality! But, due to Danzo's actions, Itachi was forced to exterminate his clan to spare Sasuke and maintain peace! Danzo also stole the eye of Shishi to gain his mind control genjutsu, killing another Uchiha loyal to the Leaf Village! Danzo & the Elders sacrificed Itachi a man who could have been a great Hokage (I mean, he was stronger than even Akatsuki Orochimaru & likely would have survived the Sound & Sand Village invasion of the Leaf Village due to being stronger than Orochimaru! Heck, he might not have even contracted his illness as again he'd have access to the Leaf medical core & if necessary could seek out Tsunade (he couldn't do this while an S-Class criminal and Akatsuki member as Tsunade likely didn't know his betrayal was a cover up to conceal the council's role in sanctioning the Massacre without the 3rd's approval)! Regardless of how loyal they think they & Danzo are to the village, they fail to see other people's loyalty to the village in others like Tsunade, as they see her as a spoiled granddaughter of the First Hokage which is why they chose Jiraya over her! Naruto is just a container of the Ninetails to them & I wouldn't be surprised if they encouraged the village's mistreatment of Naruto despite knowing full well he was the son of Kushina & Minato (they had to recognize this cause of their position)!

U can’t apply today’s soft, weak attitudes to the harsh ninja world. The village is a military installment. They do battle to protect the fire nation. The older generation come from an even harder era that was made better by the actions they took. Mostly so children weren’t being killed by adults. Then the show is showing the evolution of thinking and actions how it affects the society. They are purposeful to the story.

It really sucks that Danzo, Homura, and Koharu’s influence made Hiruzen the worst Hokage. With the exception of Hiruzen breaking Kushina’s promise by not taking care of Naruto, he was a pretty nice guy. But unfortunately, Hiruzen allowed his Hokage position to be treated like a democracy; putting it up for a vote between Danzo, Homura, Koharu, and himself. The Hokage is supposed to call the shots no matter what, but Hiruzen was too indecisive to stick to his guns. That’s why Tsunade is a much better Hokage than Hiruzen, because she stands by her decisions and doesn’t let the higher-ups completely sway her. It’s really good that Tsunade made Danzo, Homura, and Koharu hate her.

It was all the villages and ninja society that caused this and needed to he changed nit just konoha.

Crazy thing is every other Jinchuriki gets captured but their village survives. Konoha gets annihilated, just absolutely destroyed, and Naruto's not even present. Pain did it out of spite because when Naruto does show up, he continues the massacre. To top it all off his hate for Konoha is a direct result of Hiruzens administration and Danzo's meddling in the Hidden Rain.

It's not really crazy. Some of the other hosts were basically kicked out by their home villages, and Yugito(host of the 2 tailed cat) was captured somewhere away from the Cloud. Given Akatsuki's limited resources, it made sense for them to capture the hosts as quietly as possible.
There's a decent chance Koharu and Hamura also didn't know that the Akatsuki becoming a Terrorist group was Danzo's fault. If they knew, I feel like they would've conflicted on their support of him, at best.

If anything, Danzo staged the Uchiha's coup, to get all of their sharingans, he's the worst cancer konoha ever had, even worse than Orochimaru himself.

The Fire Daimyo was a big fan of Jiraiya.
There are several issues they had.
1st, they didn't recognize the next generation and thought they had to solve all the problems.
They literally didn't fully acknowledge a 50 year old like Tsunade like an adult...... which is a huge problem.
2nd, they didn't understand that times were changing. They saw 3 wars and assumed everything was the same... but ignore the fact that things were much different than their days.
3rd, they honestly just had issues understanding that they probably shouldn't be in charge anymore.
The disrespect when the call her "Princess Tsunade" , that was a slight that would have told Tsunade all that she had to know about how they'll both "peacefully" pass away in their sleep.
After all it's awfully strange how the younger Hokages have to file all that paperwork , yet the two elders have such free time . Administrational restructuring is what the village needed at least, not a Hokage that is always exhausted cause he does all the work while the elders live such a carefree life that they'll soon reach a century .

Danzo wants to protect HIS village. As in, he wants to be leading this village himself officially. He would do whatever it took to that point to get there. At least in anime canon with the Kakashi anbu arc they show that they don't just blindly follow Danzo as when he is talking smack about Hiruzen letting Minato die during the nine tails attack Homaru emediatley tells Danzo that this was too far and Koharu even directly asks Danzo where he was during the attack. Both trusted Hiruzen as hokage above Danzo at this point and Minato above Orochimaru so they wherent completley extremists to Danzos level. There is also nothing to say taht they knew about all of Danzos dirty deals with Orochimaru and the akatsuki etc. As far as they knew Danzo was just their long time friend and comrade who was willing to do what was necesary for the village and Danzo did genuenly belive that his actions where for the greater good of the village even though he was pretty hyppocritical about it. With the Uchiha massacare as far as they knew it was either massacareing the Uchiha or let them revolt witch would cause civil war and potentially a fourth shinobi war because of the leaf being weakend. If they knew that Danzo was fucking around behind the scenes maybe they would not have gone with it. Also tecknically speaking a Uchiha was behind the attack just not one in the village so its not like they where necesaryily wrong about that. They where also on the front lines fighting against Kurama during the attack althoug in the anime canon the ages are kinda mixed upp but whatever. Being elders of konoha they basically have diplomatic immunity considering that Kakashi finding out that Sauske killed a elder aka Danzo basically disgusted him and this is despite the fact that he knew what kinda dude Danzo was. He probably didn't really care that it was Danzo but actually killing the elders just for disagreeing with their proposals would probably be tantamount to treason. In Boruto they basically ask if its smart to have mitsuki in the village because of his ties to Orochimaru witch is pretty valid. They do value naruto more as a jinchuriki than a person but its not like its completley unreasonable considering the stakes.
All in all while they arent as nice as Hiruzen they clearly are nowhere near Danzos level of scumbaggery and as far as we know they have no knowledge that would make them distrust Danzo because its not like he was ever open about his dealings with Orochimaru etc. Their care for the village is also definatley more genuine than his as they actually do have some amount of trust for Hiruzen and Minato hell they even wanted Jiraya to be hokage so clearly they arent the worst. Objectivly speaking most missingnin are probably morally lower than these two as unlike Danzo who actually did some real shady shit for the most part they are just kinda assholes instead of actually being legitimetly evil.
Also in the manga they don't actually blame tsunade for the destruction they just didn't want naruto to return because he was still a kid and pain killed Jiraya who was one of their greatest ninja. And again if naruto is captured by pain the whole world pays the price. And lastly this isn't really hyppocritical as they are fully willing to die with the village so naruto doesent fall to the akatsuki. Kinda hard to really argue against this.

Danzo being discovered using the Sharingan to manipulate Mifune also potentially could have turned the other Kage against the Leaf Village (thankfully Tsunade woke up after Danzo was killed, though I imagine if he was alive she'd probably have him put down for his actions at the Five Kage Summit)!
8:44 - I kinda wish that they would face some sort of accountability for their actions! I would also love to see Sasuke call them out on how wrong they were about the Uchiha, especially Itachi! I hate it that the series doesn't just reveal the truth of Itachi's actions as I think it is important to learn from the past so as to not repeat the same mistakes! Sasuke has obviously put his grudge against them aside for the sake of the village, his friends, & family, but I still would want to see him interact with them, maybe if its even just a your decisions did more harm than good & you enabled Danzo to commit all sorts of crimes which created untold enemies for the Leaf (Orochimaru, Kabuto, Pain, & left Sasuke vulnerable to manipulation by Tobi acting as Madara)! Orochimaru's darker tendencies were encouraged by Danzo who used him to implant Sharingan into himself, Kabuto & his adoptive mother were unnecessarily sacrificed cause they knew too much (they weren't any threat to Danzo, but he was too paranoid of stuff getting traced back to him so tried to have them kill each other in an incredibly cruel manner by having Kabuto's mother not even realize who he was cause they tricked her into believing he was some other guy, with Kabuto only being saved by Orochimaru who took him in as a subordinate and something of a pupil/kindred spirit as both were lead into the darkness by Danzo)!

Danzo put Hiruzen and Konoha in extreme danger while protecting his ass and getting away with it all.
If Hiruzen executes Danzo. he shows the world how bad Konoha is and how inept he is to have a rogue shinobi faction grow under his nose. Dont kill him and cover it up, Makes it look like itachi is super NINJA instead of the village looking weak. Danzo cant get punished but war is staved off which we see with the Hyuuga situation was ramping up to be a possibility something after the Kyuubi attack is NOT what he needed to deal with.
Danzo made so many of the enemies in Naruto it isnt funny, He pushed Orochimaru into his... Kinks. Created Kabuto the Endless double agent, He caused Hanzo to target the Sanin, He funded then Leaked OG Akatsuki info to Hanzo to target Yahiko, Konan and Nagato, wanting them for root.(didnt end well) We know he targeted the Senju with slow genocide, He fostered Orichimarus experiments, he was sabotaging Suna with the mission drought an ally of the leaf at that time, He pushed for lowered Curriculum in the shinobi academy (Removing the Uzumaki History Specifically and rewriting certain events taught), We see him leading Root during Kakashi gaiden and is the cause of his fathers death with that mission and subsequent Sudoku from leaked details(Hokage and Survivors knew of the details and were Mum about it), We know he was funding the modern Akatsuki and using them as mercs, Leaked info to stone during THAT mission for Kakashi, then again for Rin but with Mizu this time around. This creates Obito/Madara in both parts inadvertently which then lead to the blood line purges with Obito controlling yagura. The Kyuubi attack with him working with Obito letting him into the village security TWICE, Naruto's Treament was due to him leaking the info that then also lead into the Uchiha revolt and The Uchiha massacre, The Hyuuga Leak to cloud and more village security details (leading to that incident) The Sound Suna Invasion more security details and it was an opportunity to feed even more info into Orichimaru and gain a ton from Kabuto. Alot of children went MIA during this. This leads to Sasuke's kidnapping and Betrayal.
God and that is only OG Naruto and the Prequels, Shippuden's entire plot might as well be his fault up to Kaguya.

@@JuubiTaz I think thats where his character went left for some people, not for me but in a way yes, he has a revolution philosophy with an underlying lonliness, when naruto beat him it covered lonliness but he did not have a counter argument for the revolution, but sasuke just forgets about it, AND THEY ARE ALIVE IN BORUTO 💀
