January 2025 Snow Days in Marianna, Florida

January 21, 2025 was a historic day in the Florida Panhandle. Record snowfall from "Winter Storm Enzo" blanketed the whole region, smashing previous records. In Marianna, the old snow record was 2" in February 1958. In January, 4-7" fell across Jackson County. The Mayo family had 5" in their yard and had a glorious time experiencing significant snowfall for the very first time. Without snow gear or toys, we figured out ways to make the most of this generational snow.
