I bought 5 dozen 8 1/2 x 11 Oriental Trading Magnetic Sheets. I use the cardboard from Fancy Feast cases (free at the Pet Store). I've been covering the cardboard with patterned paper to match the dies & using smaller pieces of the magnets I like the washi tape at the top & have been unsure about whether I want to label each card, as it becomes too intricate & requires more time for organization as you are using the system, so the washi tape streamlines that into simple groupings, which I like much better. My system is very similar to this system. I store them by subject in the large plastic greeting card containers (Recollections). Thank you for sharing your tips and system. It encourages me greatly!
I know this is an older video but it is new to me and I love it! Not only do you offer such a cool way to store these, you also give different options so what works for one may not work for another but you’ve got the other covered too! Hope that makes sense. I really like that you also offer such economical ideas. I’ve seen a video or two where I would have to spend way too much. Yours is perfect for most of us who craft for fun and do not have a lot of $$ to spend. This also gave me inspiration for organizing my rubber stamps. I cannot thank you enough. Bless you!
Oh my goodness! I have been racking my brain for a way to store my dies and just haven't found the perfect organization method for me.....until I came across this video! I love this idea and the seasonal washi tape is the icing on the cake. Thank you for solving my dilemma!!!!
So happy to assist Cathy. I offer an update to this system and I have a future update I will be sharing real soon. I also shared a system a magnetic binder system. Check them out here. Blessings.... ua-cam.com/video/D53rFc4iLb4/v-deo.html
You are too cute! Thank you so much! I had my finger on the "buy" button on the stamping storage site. You saved me from buying the expensive magnetic sheets! Have a great day!
+Tracyann Machado Greetings, I need to purchase more as well. I see Oriental Trading has up the price a bit. I will get some soon because for a while they were out of stock. Thanks for commenting. Blessings...
I glade I found this smiles I have moved to a studio and have a small place now frowns. So I love this I have a book but they stick it's not working your seam not to stick. Going do this in new year smiles everything is all stuffed somewhere because I am disabled and I had major surgery last year when moved from two bedroom to here. And got real sick this year but this new year is going be different Pray I get health again.
I definitely will Michelle. Keep working with what you have and doing the best you can. I will be doing a update video the start of the new year too. Thank you for all your comments. Blessings...
I think your storage idea for thin dies is Perfect!!!!! and I bet with some adjustments I can also use this for cling stamps!!!! Thank you soooooooooo much for making your video!!!!!! You are right-you do not use all of your "stuff" if you do not know where it is. I spend most of my time looking for my supplies and by the time I find it all I am too tired to do a craft!!! I am going to use your system. You are so creative, thank you again!
+Sharon Katzman Totally Tiffany has a 2011 Get Organized Challenge on Facebook (facebook rules about the date) and you can get a bunch of ideas on how to get crafting supplies under control.
Some EXCELLENT ideas, thank you!!! I'm putting my metal dies on magnetic sheets in binders, and bought my magnetic sheets from a magnet sheet company, not a crafts company, and I was able to buy a thicker magnet sheet that is stronger, plus it came with a sticky back. I'm totally loving how mine are turning out. I'm taking my stamps and dies out of organizing by company to theme--sentiments--faith-based, thank you, sympathy, etc then flowers, etc. And for stamp sets that have matching dies, I'm either putting the dies on another card that I put with the stamp set or if there are just a few or even one die, then I'm taking the strips that were extra after the 8.5 by 11" sheets were cut and I am using those for the back of my stamps. I am using the original packaging that came with my stamps (for those that I kept it, for others I'll be using chipboard--was thinking thick cardstock before watching this but you convinced me that chipboard would work better, thank you!!!) to give some stability. Had I not started using binders for my stamps and dies several years ago, I probably would have gone with your system in folders, but I will use the binders I already have and some I am re-purposing that I had from other uses that I no longer need. I am SO EXCITED to remember stamps and dies I'd forgotten I had!!! :) One thing, I just bought from Costco (it's just before school starts, so more school supplies are available) a set of 20 clear pockets that are 8.5 by 11" size, and they open with a ziplock-type zipper and they come in 4 different colors, so I plan to color-code. I will keep paper scraps, and parts to kits together, etc in binders too. These were 20 large, clear pockets for $8.99 Canadian (I live in Canada), likely they are available at Costco in the US too. A GREAT deal and I am always looking at what I see from the vantage point of organizing my crafts, but I'm looking for items that are not made by a crafts company, because they are cheaper this way. I too am a huge Anna Griffin fan, LOVE her dies and embossing folders, and I have some of her stamps too!!! LOVE your name, for people know you are a person of faith just as I am!!! I hope to start my own blog and I want to come up with a good name for it, still thinking... :) Thanks so much for all that I have learned from you on your UA-cam channel, I am assuming you have a blog, I need to look it up. I have a tiny gallery on SCS (Splitcoaststampsers) under 905lovestostamp... Just wanted to express my appreciation to you, I apologize that this is so long... Hoping that you have a very blessed day today, Joanne
OK went to Oriental Trading today May 3, 2017 bought 4 sets of 12 8 1/2 x 11 magnet sheets at $19.99 for a total of $79.96, then went to Amazon (I too am a Prime Member) There were lots of options but went with 4 sets of by Silhouette Of America brand 25 sheets of chipboard 12x12 for $7.35 each for a total of $31.16 including sales tax Free shipping I have lots of washi tape to play with so the total cost is $111.12 and I divide that by 96 and these will cost $1.16 each.....with 4 pieces of chip board left to do what ever with.... Love it.and am now awaiting my things so that I to can organize my dies!!! Thanks for such a wonderful and well worked out system!!!
You are most welcome. A viewer notified me yesterday of Oriental Trading prices which doubled since I made mine. Just in the last couple of months the price hiked 8 bucks. Be sure to subscribe and check out my updates on this system. Blessings...
I saw your update, but I prefer your original system for my needs. I am beyond satisfied with the cost per unit and the simplicity of assembly.... while it may appear to be cheaper to run 20 times to 15 different dollar stores for your sheets my time and gas money would add up quickly as time wasted not crafting. Thanks so much for the up date.... I am beyond happy with doing one stop shopping.
Great idea! Thanks for the shopping tips, too. You are right, the washi tape makes it so much more attractive, which would make me want to flip through the dies and use them!
girl thanks,im in the process as we speak to get my thin dies and stamps in order going to get the magnetic sheets from oriental trading and im already a prime amazon member,i love your system way more economical
I really appreciate this video. I'm just getting into dies and I do have an issue finding my dies. I purchased sheets and realize that the dies do fall off the sheets. I will certainly try this and the fact that it is cheaper is an added bonus. Thanks for sharing
You are most welcome. I have done a couple more videos (storing dies) and will be doing another update to this video soon. Do subscribe if your are interested. Thanks for sharing. Blessings...
Love your die storage solution. I remember this video a while back and glad I revisited it again because I have my dies in sleeves but no magnet 🧲. I’m going back to use your method
What a fantastic video. Thank you Gina! So many different bows but all done in a similar way! I love all your videos, I think you are a great demonstrator.
I am brand new to stamping and thin dies (waiting for my Big Shot to arrive on Saturday!!) so I have been perusing You Tube for different techniques, etc. This is a great idea and I am planning on implementing method right from the start! Thank you!
You will love it Janet. I shared an updated video you need to see. I also shared a binder method system you might enjoy as well. Happy crafting. Blessings...
I know this is an older video but this was packed with some amazing ideas. Also, what you said about if it isn't organized then it will not get used is spot on! I went though this little phase of duct taping shoe boxes with pretty duct tape and now have a great use for some. Thanks so much for sharing. This just goes to show no matter how old the advice is, good advice is forever :-) Have a blessed day!
Awesome idea! Thank you so very much for sharing this..I am going to share your idea with my Facebook craft group of a little over 800 members, THE GIFT, Your talent is a gift to share, inspire & give.. You are very kind for sharing this with us!! God Bless you!!♡♡
Fantastic storage solution! I started using dies 1.5 years ago and already filled an ikea roskag cart and an art bin and am just starting to feel overwhelmed. Will be looking into this for sure. TFS Big hugs, Kristina
+CraftyPaws This system is working well for me. I even made 8 1/2 by 11 magnetic sheets for my word dies. I hope it works well for you too if you decide to try. Thanks for commenting. Blessings...
I now store mine in crates I purchased from Michaels. Used Vent covers on chipboard to start with. I love it. In the middle of a re-organization myself.
+Loretta Rodger Greetings, for some reason you comments were in my spam folder. So happy I decided to look there. I like your card system, nice and simple. Blessings...
Fantastic system! I use the magnet sheets in paper protectors but I must admit it is far from the best way. I think I will look for one of the boxes and convert to your system. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Just happened upon your video. I already have a system with the plastic sleeves but I find that your method makes more sense in that the larger area will actually decrease storage footprint so I can have multiple similar dies together instead individually stored. You're right in that if you don't see it easily, you won't use it. Thank you for the Oriental Trading info. Just ordered myself a few sets.
So glad you have found this video helpful Carol. Do check out the update video I shared in January and I will be sharing another update on this video sharing the wonderful sleeves I have found for these magnetic cards. Blessings....
I am loving this idea. I am always trying to come up with great ways of storing my dies so they are easy to find. I have trouble categorising them, I like this idea of the washi tape. May have to do this.
+Sue Jordan I hope it works out for you. I'm still using these type of storage and have made 8 1/2 by 11 magnet cards. Thanks for commenting. Blessings...
Great organizational tip. I did something similar about five years ago. But I used the back from paper packs instead of chip board (free), used 50% off coupons to buy five packs of magnetic sheets from Michael's (reg, price $9.99). I have four large three ring binders (reg. price $10.99 marked down 70% off) with 10-12 sheets each. Have had to replace a couple of the sheets because of the weight (flipping pages). Plus the binders are heavy now since I've added dies over the years. Your system deserves some serious consideration! Thanks a lot.
Brilliant! I use the extra thick (60 mil) 8 " X 10" nagnetic sheets from Amazon. They are awesomely strong (nothing metal will slip off) but *expensive.* (5 sheets for $16.79) Due to the cost, I trim a piece just big enough to store one of dies.... every set of dies uses a different size. Your system is excellent for its color coding, uniformity of size, and price. Thank you so much for sharing it. Sandy
OMG I just found you where have you been all my crafting life I have been making such a mess with toner I gave up and you made it so easy and now the magnetic sheets thank you thank you Cynthia
+Dusty A Aww, thank you Dusty and you are welcome. Feel free to customize this system any way you like. You can even put the magnetic cards in sheet protectors. Blessings....
This is wonderful and I have finally created it using your version. No tape because it is too fussy for me and I don't own enough dies yet so I can find them all. Thanks so much!
+Hope Eisman Wow! Good for you. I hope this system works out for you. I still use it and love it. NOw your die stash is going to grow quick, lol. Thanks for sharing. Please update with suggestions. Blessings...
Wonderful video!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've seen the magnetic sheets before, but the washi tape system was fabulous. Thanks for a great idea, and I will definitely give you credit whenever my friends ask me where I got that idea! Thanks again, and God bless.
This is an awesome idea! I have mine in a drawer on magnet but I have to pull all out to get to the ones I need. It was ok when I didn't have so many dies. Now I am in need of an upgrade. This looks awesome.
Thank you! I have my wafer dies on magnetic sheets also only I use notebooks. I needed a new source for the sheets and your tip has me excited. Thank you for sharing. I may even try moving some of my collection to a box system like yours when my notebooks fill up.
Thank you for sharing your storage idea. I keep dropping my dies into one of the drawers in my desk and you are so right, we forget what we have. I need to start organising them and this seems to be an excellent solution.
+Judith Dev I love this system and use different size magnet cards depending on the dies. If you adopt this please let me know how it works for you. Blessings...
I purchased the magnetic sheets from Oriental Trading and did not use a sturdy piece of chip board. So, that didn't work well. Now I know I need to use the sturdier chip board. I agree that without a system in place, I don't use my dies like I should. Tfs. God bless.
Thanks for sharing your die storage set up... I am currently rethinking my options and love the idea of adding the magnetic sheet to chipboard for stability and having a top border to label/identify the contents. I don't own a lot of Washi Tape but I like the idea of it... especially using it for seasons and holidays. Have a great day! 😃
Thanks for commenting Sue. I still use this system and find it very beneficial. I didn't have many seasonal tapes when I made this system so mine is defintitely due for an update. Keep in mind you can make this any size so whatever fits your needs. Blessings....
Hi! Great Minds do think alike. I also use the magnetic sheets from Oriental Trading. They are not the strongest magnet sheets, but the price is right. I have found that the most critical step is to ensure that the chipboard you mount it to is substantial enough to stabilize the magnet sheet. I couldn't find the chipboard I wanted so I bought a pad of heavy paper stock intended for watercolors. I purchased the pad at Michaels when it was on sale for 40% off. Very pleased by the result. I LOVE your idea of the tape across the top. This is definitely the finishing touch I needed. Thank you!
I got the Stamp-N-Storage cubbie for my Copics this Christmas from my husband. I wanted some coordinating storage pieces for my dies, etc., so I went to their site... well, I am too picky with my money to spend what they were charging! You are a genius, and I'm developing a girl crush on you after seeing some of your ideas. ;) Thanks for sharing!!
+TheClover2claire Lol. You are funny. I just learned what the lyrics to that song really mean (girl crush). I hope this system works out good for you. I still use it and wouldn't be without it. Blessings...
+TheClover2claire Lol. Oh, no, I understood! I heard the song before but didn't know what it meant until my husband broke it down (we saw the performance on the grammys). We watched the voice last night and heard the phrase again so when I read your message I was tickled, lol. Thank you for your comment. Blessings....
I absolutely love way you have done. Im so thankful tp you for posting this and going to copy exactly what you have done, including color coded and patterned washi tape. tfs!
Love your organization...i wll be incorperating washi theme tape to my boards. I purchased 9x12 inch locker talk sheets 2 in a pkg. From Dollar Tree... but now im going to get more from the oriental trading...thanks for sharing♡♡♡♡♡
I've really been researching this and looked at several different ideas. I like yours the best, but I'd create a "Master sheet" at the front to explains the different colors in case I forget (very likely, lol). Thanks for sharing!
I LOVED your system, but wanted to add a "take-away" element, for going out to work. I didnt want to purchase envelopes, so I used an A-7 Envelope DIE from Ellison (Sizzix parent co.) and 12 gauge clear vinyl from JoAnns (sale 50% off by the yard, and used my We are Memory Keepers Fuse weld tool to finish the envelopes. The vinyl sticks to itself somewhat, so the flap will stick down in the container. The dies are visible and there is very little chance of them getting lost while traveling. Thanks for a great idea!
I just want you to know I love you. I have been struggling for several years on how to store my dies and you showed me how to store them the simplest way and more than 4 times less space in fast was going to sell a bunch at garbage sale cause of the room it took but not now. I have been trying to use magnets but kept falling off but with the ticket pouches it is great. Now got to work on stamps
+Linda Hopf Let me know how it turns out. I will be doing an update real soon. I have the same system but I found sleeves these fit into. Thanks for sharing. Blessings....
Thank you so much for sharing this video!!! I have tried MANY die storage ideas n this has been my favorite and easiest and takes up less space in my craft room! THANK YOU!!! lol Hugs~Mel
Wow! This is brilliant. Right now I've got mine on magnetic vent covers (Amazon 8"x15" 3 pack $4.97) but haven't mounted them on chipboard (I got a almost full gallon Elmer's All-Purpose at a junk store for about $2.50). I keep my Spellbinders in their new attractive small packets that has all the relevant info on the front of the package. For my Sizzix thinlits, I put the magnet sheet in a 5""X8* plastic bag with cardstock backing. It still takes up a lot of room though & it's hard to find storage to house the size (I keep needing to up-size). The washi & cut shapes as dividers are ingenious.
+AnnOna Moss Thank you for sharing your system AnnOna and what a pretty name. I will look into those vent covers, never heard of them before. What is great about the DIY magnet cards you can make them any size. I have started making 8 X 10 size sheets. I purchased wooden crates from Micheal's that houses my stamps (in 8 by 8 album sleeves). If I find another crate I will use it to house my larger magnet sheets. Thanks again for commenting. Blessings....
Totally love this idea. Can I have half of your dies? LOL You have some amazing dies and I really like this system. Right now I have mine in binders, divided by companies. But I could see where that would be cumbersome for someone with as many dies as yourself. Plus I'm always worried that I'm going to loose them when I take more than one or two out at time. So the cards you made would be an effective relief for that problem because they could go right back on the card. TFS ~ God Bless, Sherry
Glad you enjoyed the video. I really didn't know I had that many dies. See what happens when one isn't organized lol. I decided to check oriental trading and found they had another free shipping code that ends tonight at midnight. So off I go to buy more magnet.... God bless you too.
Thanks, this system is working really well. I forgot to add in the video to decoupage or add a little extra adhesive to the washi tape for stability. But love it thus far.
Hi just found this, I have some magnetic d/sided sheets in hand, and been looking for an easy way to sort out die storage..LURVE this idea many thanks for sharing and posting!! Had a look on Amazon re the chipboard..thanks for tip.. Sooooooo i shall soon have my dies all nicely organised! yaaay...:-0) Hugs...Denise (UK) xxx
Denise M Hind Great! I hope you enjoy it. My storage box is a nice size but I'm not bothered by the size as it makes searching for dies so much easier. Blessings...
Excellent ideas - clearly presented... thanks for sharing! I buy magnet sheets from AC Moore (Nichole brand) 1x2 feet sized. I use the original packaging and cut strips of magnet to stick down the dies then put them in a clear pocket. I like your system though!
Yes I use the Magnetic covers from Home Depot & then use my We are Memory Fuse tool to make pockets using Sheet Protectors, works great. Use Cereal box as backing for Magnetic sheets
Fantastic! I am VERY new to card making ( made a few for Christmas that I'm not thrilled about but am learning) and my dies are just in a drawer so this will help a lot. Don't know if poster board is good enough for the backing paper or not ($1 store). I have one of those 3 drawer plastic "bins" to put stuff in but it is just a mess. One drawer for paper, one for dies/stamps (
+Patricia Meredith Most welcome and welcome to the world of card making. I have had that poster board but I can't remember the thickness. You could use cereal box though or board from other type of food packaging. I started off using those plastic drawers and they are great and even come in different colors now. I spent this summer reorganizing and my crafting life is so much more free. You really don't need a lotto craft but you did need organization. This system is a great way to get your dies organized. Let me know how it works out. Blessings...
Another thought... The Dollar Tree has plastic cutting mats 3/$1. There are different colors you could use for different themes. As of 12/30/15 the magnetic sheets are 12/$11.50 ...still less expensive from craft store or Wally's.
2:53 love that window die, where can I find that one? Love how you store your dies, at the moment I have a mess, I just recently misplace two dies 😱 . So true, if it's not organized you won't use it or buy doubles , hello lol. 🤗🤗🤗. I scrolled up to give u a 👍, and it said, subscribe 🤔 But I'm already a subbie. Ohhh love that puzzle die. You have nice stuff. I hope to catch you live, at the stores. TFS
I notice you don't use clear envelopes just the magnet cards. do they Die's stay on there well enough to not get lost this way? I like the simplicity of not having to pull stuff out of envelopes. just pull the card and go.
+soria scrapbooking I so love this storage system. I'm also using larger magnetic cards. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Do return. Blessings....
+CraftyPaws I used to keep all my original packaging until my craft space started to look like the recycling headquarters lol. I remember having dozens of those sizzix cases intending to altar them. Well, i did altar a couple but then one day threw them all out. Now manufactures are giving us less to throw away as they are downsizing packaging lol. What do you do with your packaging? Blessings....
+Elias Perez I love the idea of getting rid of the packaging, but some companies really package their products well. My problem with what they do is their inconsistency. Paper Lace keeps changing the sizes of the packages and Creative Couture makes sturdy folders, but they all match the size of the die. Wish they would be more consistent. It kills me to be forced to cut up good folders, pockets, packages because of their shape.
Love this idea. Could you tell me what search term you used to find the magnetic sheets on OT? I just did a search and could find nothing like these sheets. Thanks!
Love your idea! Now, if I can just get around to doing it. I have been using magnet sheets (the pricey ones that you can run through a laser jet printer) by taping the magnet sheet cut to size to fit the die folder my dies came in. Not handy and they tend to slip out of the folder. - Where do you keep your container? It looks like it would be too heavy to put on a shelf unless it was reinforced. Sure do appreciate your sharing! I have to look at more of your videos - I just happened across your site by accident. Thanks!
+janice fj Hi Janice. i purchased my box from Tuesday Morning but you should be able to find these at any craft store. My box is heavy but the box is very sturdy and no signs of wear/tear. Cutting down the chipboard and magnet sheets was work so employ help if you can or complete over time. I really do love this system and the magnet cards can be customized to size. Thanks for commenting. Blessings...
can I have the dimensions of this box? I want to go with this idea rather than the new one, I have had two people say they fall off the magnetic locker sheets as they are weak...II am going to sue vent covers I think... Sandy
Funny you ask. The box does have weight to it and if I had to guess it probably weighs between 8 to 10 pounds. Where I keep this box fortunately doesn't require me to move it. Great question. Blessings...
Sandy, I checked at TM as well and couldn't find any like this one but I did find one to suit my needs. My new one however stores my dies vertically. I will be sharing my original system along with my new vertical box system in the near future. You could possible use a crate top box. I will keep you posted if I find the correct size. Blessings....

I like your idea of Washi tape to identify the categories. I filed mine by company and use their item number to file them in numerical order.

I will keep paper scraps, and parts to kits together, etc in binders too. These were 20 large, clear pockets for $8.99 Canadian (I live in Canada), likely they are available at Costco in the US too.
Glad you appreciate it Barb. I will be doing a update video in a couple of weeks and yes I still use this system. Blessings....
girl thanks,im in the process as we speak to get my thin dies and stamps in order going to get the magnetic sheets from oriental trading and im already a prime amazon member,i love your system way more economical
Veronica Mills Awesome. I hope it works out for you for I love it. Thanks for commenting, blessings...
Wow this is one of the most helpful orgainiztional tips I have come across! Thanks
Thank you so much Pat for supporting my video with a comment. I still use the system and love it. Blessings....
Great job. You probably by now have tweaked this process, but for me its a start because I'm new at this. Thanks for sharing!
What a fantastic video. Thank you Gina! So many different bows but all done in a similar way! I love all your videos, I think you are a great demonstrator.
Thank you Margaret. I think you commented on the wrong video though lol. I appreciate it anyway, lol! Blessings....
Thank you Sheila. Comments like this makes me smile in the broadest way. Blessings....
Sheila Wonder I
Awesome idea! Thank you so very much for sharing this..I am going to share your idea with my Facebook craft group of a little over 800 members, THE GIFT, Your talent is a gift to share, inspire & give.. You are very kind for sharing this with us!! God Bless you!!♡♡
Why thank you. Your comment put a BIG smile on my face and heart. I"m honored. God bless you too. Blessings....
Fantastic storage solution! I started using dies 1.5 years ago and already filled an ikea roskag cart and an art bin and am just starting to feel overwhelmed. Will be looking into this for sure. TFS Big hugs, Kristina
+CraftyPaws
This system is working well for me.
Loretta Rodger Somehow I missed your comment. Did you post a video on this system? Interesting, Blessings....
+Sue Jordan
I hope it works out for you.
Sandy
Why thank you Sandy and glad to hear you have magnet sheet that work for you. I also like how you cut yours down to the size of the die. Blessings...
That is so genius. thank you ..I've been looking for something affordable and this is perfect.
Glad you enjoy it Patricia. Blessings....
OMG I just found you where have you been all my crafting life I have been making such a mess with toner I gave up and you made it so easy and now the magnetic sheets thank you thank you
Cynthia
+Dusty A
Aww, thank you Dusty and you are welcome. Feel free to customize this system any way you like. You can even put the magnetic cards in sheet protectors. Blessings....
This is wonderful and I have finally created it using your version. No tape because it is too fussy for me and I don't own enough dies yet so I can find them all. Thanks so much!
+Hope Eisman
Wow!
+Dian Moulin
Bless you much. I love this system and still use it. I need to order more sheets however. Let me know how it works for you. Blessings....
This is an awesome idea! I have mine in a drawer on magnet but I have to pull all out to get to the ones I need. It was ok when I didn't have so many dies. Now I am in need of an upgrade. This looks awesome.
+Viki Banaszak
I absolutely love this system. It is definitely worth a try. Thanks for sharing. Blessings...
Thank you! I have my wafer dies on magnetic sheets also only I use notebooks. I needed a new source for the sheets and your tip has me excited. Thank you for sharing. I may even try moving some of my collection to a box system like yours when my notebooks fill up.
+pawprintx4
Let me know how it turns out for you. Thanks for commenting. Blessings...
Thank you for sharing your storage idea. I keep dropping my dies into one of the drawers in my desk and you are so right, we forget what we have. I need to start organising them and this seems to be an excellent solution.
+Judith Dev
I love this system and use different size magnet cards depending on the dies. If you adopt this please let me know how it works for you. Blessings...
Thank you, I will, but I'm having a look for similar materials in the UK to cut down on shipping costs.
Thanks for sharing!!! This is an awesome way to store and "categorize" dies, and I'm going to give it a try.
I hope it works out for you Beverly. Blessings...
Thank you!
+C S McDonald
Great substitutions! Glad it worked for you and thank you for supporting my ideas and channel. Blessings...
+TheClover2claire
Lol. You are funny. I just learned what the lyrics to that song really mean (girl crush). I hope this system works out good for you. I still use it and wouldn't be without it. Blessings...
Lol... oh, ummm... no. I just listened to the song for the first time, myself. Yeah... I just meant you're super cool. ;)
+TheClover2claire
Lol. Oh, no, I understood! I heard the song before but didn't know what it meant until my husband broke it down (we saw the performance on the grammys). We watched the voice last night and heard the phrase again so when I read your message I was tickled, lol. Thank you for your comment. Blessings....
You are welcome! Take care :)
Excellent system!! The color coding is brilliant!! I may change mine now. :) Glad I saw this.
+dipadoodle
Get your magnet sheets while you can. Oriental Trading was out for a while. Thanks for commenting. Blessings....
I used my magnetic sheets on my cabinets inside doors in my craft room the doors hold a lot, instant view i love them there.
Great tip! Thanks much for sharing Joan.
+Happybidr
Great tip. Thanks for sharing. Blessings...
Love your system! I have a few different ways to store and may change in the future so I will keep this in mind. Thanks
+Diana Jones
Thank you Diana. This system can be customized in many different ways. If you try it I do hope it works out with you. Blessings....
Thanks for sharing, some great ideas there, got me thinking in another direction from what I have now!!
You are most welcome. Blessings....
Lots of good ideas here! Thank you for sharing with us.
Most welcome. Blessings...
FABULOUS idea. So cost effective and creative. THANKS for sharing. Know what I'll be doing this week. :-)
+Linda Hopf
Let me know how it turns out. I will be doing an update real soon. I have the same system but I found sleeves these fit into. Thanks for sharing. Blessings....
This is a great storage idea! Thank you for sharing! I'm all about saving money since dies cost an arm and a leg, haha...
Totally agree. I will be sharing an update very soon. Blessings....
Great idea. I got my washi tape dispenser at Sam's for $1.91. Compared to HSN $30. I'm definitely going to try this. Thanks for sharing.
Now that was a steal of deal. Blessings....
Love your videos! Your so good at giving us all the details. Thank you 😊
Most welcome Gayle and thanks for sharing. Blessings...
Thank you so much for sharing this video!!! I have tried MANY die storage ideas n this has been my favorite and easiest and takes up less space in my craft room! THANK YOU!!! lol Hugs~Mel
Hugs back to you. I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching.
This is Awesome! The best I've seen out there. I did it and I love it! Thank You so much.
Wow, Thanks much Shelley. Blessings...
+AnnOna Moss
Thank you for sharing your system AnnOna and what a pretty name.
Brilliant use of washi tape!!!!
I appreciate that. Blessings....
Thank you for sharing your videos
I just love your idea! Awesonw!!!
great idea!!! I already use oriental magnet sheets butyor 5 by 7 idea ina box looks great!!!
Love ❤️ this! Great use for washi tape and great visuals! Thanks!
This is an awesome storage tip... Thank you very much. It is definitely worth the investment.
Thanks, this system is working really well. I forgot to add in the video to decoupage or add a little extra adhesive to the washi tape for stability. But love it thus far.
great idea for the washi color code system! Thanks for sharing.
Wow, this is a great system! Thanks for sharing.
You are most welcome. Be sure to check out my update to this video using fabulous finds at the dollar tree. Blessings...
You are so creative I love you idea. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Merry much. God bless.
Excellent ideas - clearly presented... thanks for sharing! I buy magnet sheets from AC Moore (Nichole brand) 1x2 feet sized. I use the original packaging and cut strips of magnet to stick down the dies then put them in a clear pocket. I like your system though!
I don't think anyone has mentioned sheets purchased from AC Moore. We don't have that store in our area but thanks for sharing. Blessings....
I already use magnet sheets but I attach them to a large board on my wall so I can see at a glance all my hard earned money...haha
+Susan Thompson
Lol, love it Susan. Thanks for commenting. Blessings....
What would you do if you have the same stamps
I use vent magnetic covers and they are pretty stiff.
I attach them to cardboard pieces to add support. I put magnet on both sides of cardboard and store in plastic sleeve.
One drawer for paper, one for dies/stamps (
+Patricia Meredith
Most welcome and welcome to the world of card making.
That is so clever! Well done!
2:53 love that window die, where can I find that one?
Love how you store your dies, at the moment I have a mess, I just recently misplace two dies 😱 . So true, if it's not organized you won't use it or buy doubles , hello lol. 🤗🤗🤗. I scrolled up to give u a 👍, and it said, subscribe 🤔
But I'm already a subbie. Ohhh love that puzzle die. You have nice stuff.
I hope to catch you live, at the stores. TFS
I truly love your system! I may be in for a change. TFS!
I love your idea. Thanks for sharing this amazing idea. Blessings!
Most welcome Marcina. Blessings.....
This was an awesome video! Thanks for making it and sharing it with us. Blessings!
Giraffe Creations by Yar i
This is a great video, thank you so much!! I will definitely be making this.
Most welcome J Lynn. Blessings...
Very interesting storage system.Pity I live so far away, (Bali)which will make it costly. Thanks for sharing
You are welcome Jogry. So many variations of this I surely hope you find a system that's affordable for you. Blessings....
I looked all over the web Iliked your the best.
love the washi color coding ! tfs
I like this idea. Thank you for sharing this information.
We could be friends! I LOVE your organization!
I notice you don't use clear envelopes just the magnet cards. do they Die's stay on there well enough to not get lost this way? I like the simplicity of not having to pull stuff out of envelopes. just pull the card and go.
Brilliant! I also store them on magnetic cards!
+soria scrapbooking
I so love this storage system. I'm also using larger magnetic cards. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Do return. Blessings....
Love love love this idea so clever
You sure have some neat ideas.
I appreciate very much you letting me know. Blessings....
Great idea and thanks for sharing.
where do you get the cases and inserts
Do you keep your original packaging? I'm a bit OCD and currently keep all of that but it is getting cumbersome
+CraftyPaws
I used to keep all my original packaging until my craft space started to look like the recycling headquarters lol.
AWESOME! Brilliant Idea! Thank you so much for sharing!
+Donna Okoniewski
Thank you Donna. I hope it works out for you if you decide to try. Blessings...
Love this idea. Could you tell me what search term you used to find the magnetic sheets on OT? I just did a search and could find nothing like these sheets. Thanks!
Judy Corona Thanks for commenting. here is the link.
www.orientaltrading.com/awesome-adhesive-magnetic-sheets-a2-57_9500.fltr
Love your idea! Now, if I can just get around to doing it. I have been using magnet sheets (the pricey ones that you can run through a laser jet printer) by taping the magnet sheet cut to size to fit the die folder my dies came in. Not handy and they tend to slip out of the folder. - Where do you keep your container? It looks like it would be too heavy to put on a shelf unless it was reinforced. Sure do appreciate your sharing! I have to look at more of your videos - I just happened across your site by accident. Thanks!
+janice fj
Hi Janice. i purchased my box from Tuesday Morning but you should be able to find these at any craft store. My box is heavy but the box is very sturdy and no signs of wear/tear. Cutting down the chipboard and magnet sheets was work so employ help if you can or complete over time. I really do love this system and the magnet cards can be customized to size. Thanks for commenting. Blessings...
+biblescraps Where do you store the boxes after you fill them?
Thank you. Awesome idea.
can I have the dimensions of this box? I want to go with this idea rather than the new one, I have had two people say they fall off the magnetic locker sheets as they are weak...II am going to sue vent covers I think... Sandy
Hiya! I love this storage system but isn't your box too heavy to lift with all those cards and sheets??
Funny you ask. The box does have weight to it and if I had to guess it probably weighs between 8 to 10 pounds. Where I keep this box fortunately doesn't require me to move it. Great question. Blessings...
You are a Queen! Genius! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Awwww, thank you much. I hope you enjoy the system. You can even do variations of this. Blessings...
I forgot to ask,,, what size box did you use
thank you
I have looked and looked for a box like yours, they are not to be found anymore I guess....any other ideas for boxes? Sandy
Thanks!
