EPISODE 3 IS OUT NOW - ua-cam.com/video/oS1e7Oe1S1M/v-deo.html ! If you missed episode one, you can catch it here - ua-cam.com/video/UZXpDVJ4Tjc/v-deo.html ! I'm thinking episodes every other day? Gives folks enough time to catch up, and some episodes might end up a bit longer as the missions get long! No 5 hour episodes like the Victoria 3 finale, though, I promise! Let me know what you think!
Hey PE, good game, 1. Just that, you can blow the 2 bridges early on easily within the 3 minute marks with bombardment from your battleship, your 105 howitzer & of course, the Bishop. 2. try to avoid blobbing your units, it minimizes casualties should you receive fire from arty or any aoe damages 3. Try to capture all the points to ease your logistics, dont have to constraint yourself with the limited supplies 4. Try to move your unit tactically, move (a) unit (rifle section) from cover to cover, before setting up the MG team for safety. 5. I dont exactly remember the correct hotkey (spacebar maybe), you can use the tactical pause for tactical movement & decisions. 6. Use your supports (i.e. Battleship bombardment) often for your advantage. 7. Try to finish up the side quests first for added benefits & advantage. I love the gameplay & the thrill btw ❤
I liked the maneuvers with your units. Very cool to see in action. I feel that, maneuvers-wise, you did the best possible with the Stuart. It simply took one risk too many, but it was beautiful to see it dance around.
55:29 there’s an after action report from N. Africa done by the English officer of a Gurkha unit that goes something like “our unit eliminated a German machine gun nest: all enemies KIA. Our ammunition expenditure: none.” They snuck up and killed them all with their kukris.
I like combat, so if you feel it would be achievable at the time it would be dope if you went for all the secondary objectives and capture points if you get the chance
Do we still have detatchments ? Or did they removed them i remember in the forums they said there would be medic detachments US ranger detachments etc to provide support to companies
"Ayo Gorkhali" is taken from the battle cry of Gurkha troops. The full battle cy is - "Jai Mahakali ! Ayo Gorkhali !" (Glory be to Goddess Mahakali ! Here comes the Gorkhas !")
It's extremely likely the Germans would have destroyed those bridges to prevent an allied advance. They were unlikely to retake Salerno while the navy could bombard them.
You can actually unlock new units with your skillpoint the UI is just really bad. You have to click on the "Purchase" button bellow the unit icon. I dont know why the "Ressource Cost" is written in red font. At first it confused me too.
How fitting that you move the Indian company immediately after speaking of independence.Reminds me of the Sikh empire run. Also quick note if I remembe right the word is pronounced more like"Aaayo" instead of "AEyo"
It's hard to believe how lackluster this is after so long. I honestly expected alot more with #3. I really hope they at the very least overhauled vet skills and added more than 3 levels.... which sadly it appears they didn't. Massively wasted potential there

Enjoying this series. Even with your stuggles at the end :). Combined Arms, my friend. Use the Fist, not just the fingers. Pairs & Triplets of units.
21:41 interesting that you are suddenly commanding German forces with that mortar.
(XD)
subbed. This was great fun😁 looking forward to seeing more

Why are the british not using the PIAT for Anti tank duty but are still using the Boys AT which was already being rapidly phased out
Does that mean you could also have moved your main force towards Salerno and had the paratroopers capture the airfield (since it wasn't defended)?

Ortona was a tough battle for Canadian troops, one of the bloodiest in our Italian campaign. Enjoying this series, I hope to see more episodes
3rd unit lost was the captured AT gun.
Aah good spot
I think HMG for paratropperes and make Gurkas stronger in enemy areas would be good!
I'm on turn 9 and already captured all the cities within the dotted black line, what's next? It seems like i'm stuck?

Never used your ship bombardment

I imagine this would have been easier if you took out the bridges like it said...
Where's my dingo...

Imagine not using the artillery you always had to destroy at least some of the bridges before all the tanks rolled over it...
Me: "I'll save it for when things get rough"
Things: *Get rough*
Me: "I shoulda used it before things got rough"
I wish devs should have stayed historically authentic with this game...
Please can you play planet zoo again
