    @hifirulezzz - can you post a link to the belt you got for this deck? I suspect a lot of MDS-JA333ES owners need to change their belts, and it looks like the one you chose is really solid and high quality. Please post a link to it!

      I have sourced those belts a few years ago, I cant recap from where I have ordered them.

    Hello ,Subscriber here.( I hope you can help me).I have a SONY MDS JA 50 ES (NEW OLD STOCK).The problem is when i plugged in the standby light remains lit on red and nothing displays on the screen. When I press the buttons nothing happens. Except for (while pressing ams & rec i can access the service test mode).Any help from you would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

      That may happen when there is a disk inside and it was not finalized, I.e. TOC was not written. Deck will behave like that. Remove the disk manually and try turn it on

    I think you can remove the bottom and replace belt from below.

      If you will watch full video you would find that problem with recording is not related to belt in any way.

      @@hifirulezzz yes but return the disc was as I watched further I realised you had figured that out.
