Great video! Thank you so much. I purchased it as my first drone and crash it because I forgot to calibrate it. It’s says not to do it near iron objects!
Hi, ive flown it today and it works great, when there is a little bit of a breeze I would turn in speed 2 or 3, didn't test out the wifi distance yet. Overall a decent drone but when indoors its completely unflyable and flies away.
I like your "Candid" work and I agree. DJI is the way to go. A fun next step for you may be FPV drones. I think you might have a ball with them. Since they are difficult to fly do like you recommend start small.
thanks Bill, Yes, I have a bunch of FPV drones, but I gotta say since ive gotten the Avata the other ones have been sitting. I have about 20 and other the smallest one I have is the Firefly Nano 4 s, that thing is so much fun!
@@b4ugo The Avata is my next move. And, everyone I've talked to loves them so you're way ahead of the game. I was going to go hog wild with iFlight and buy them all but, since I have the DJI FPV remote I can't get "Crossfire" like I wanted to so they're out. My iFlight Protek 35 has fallen from the air because a tree got between us. So, they're out. I've flown my Walkera F210s in the same area for 3 years and they never complained. Not any indication of transmission error. (They're great!). I'm sure the Avata will satify my needs. You seem pretty cool so I'll stay in touch. Good luck with making your channel grow.
Now this is a pretty nice drone. I like it. Wow why is the grey one cost more than the orange one.I rather have the orange one you can see it better. Thanks Jams for the input.

Thank You Eddie Vanhalen look alike 😂 I love the color but it looks like the DJI mini is the One ☝🏼 I don’t see a video review of the DJI mini se in your list? Can you make one? 😎🍺🍷
Hey! To start, big fan! I’m praying you’d be able to help me out? I know you’re an experienced-knowledgeable drone man, so I’m reaching out on a limb to see maybe you can help solve this issue. I just purchased the KF 102, and having problems connecting it to WIFI! It just does not seem to appear in my wifi column at all, regardless how many times I “refresh” the wifi search. The drone & controller connect fine with plenty of satellite connections. I’m using a iPhone 11 Pro Max. Things I’ve tried so far: Restarted phone, updated phone, wifi on-off/search, charged battery to full, tried an android phone, QR code in wifi manual, in the house, in a park with no one else present, and a couple other options! But Lula-- just doesn’t appear. Any opinions or suggestions? Or hopefully answers? Is it a matter of just a bad drone & to replace it? Please help!
David, I have never run into that. I have had app problems and deleted and re-installed but this wouldnt help. Only thing I can think of is try a different device, even a IPad. Good Luck, but if that doesn’t work, yes, i would think its the done.
The Ex5 is only $99 on Bangood, so its way less. The Kf102 has a axis gimbal, that what really brings the price up but changes everything in making video’s. So, i would 100% want the KF102, thanks for watching!
JAMES ... narrowing my 1st drone to this one KF102 and a SC907 Here in Brasil I can get this KF102 in orange with 360 degree collision avoidance for the same price as the SG907, both have 2 batteries, both abou $250 usd here Does one have better software than the other ? Operationally wise equal ? What do you think ?? Thanks- GUY
Have this drone too but I don't like the battery. Seems you have to use it every 1-2 months 2-3 times or battery life decreases dramatically. Have 3 batteries and they are all almost useless after winter pause. As soon as you start, you get the beep that battery is low. You charge it to full, same issue again. Batteries are really bad after some time. There is no battery protection if you just store it.
Just tried mine today, the camera recordings look good, but I decided to put the 64GB microSD card in the phone instead in the drone because it records both on it and in the phone memory and I don't have much memory there. On the drone recording is without sound, also... only on the phone and only if I press the mic button... Had an issue with one of the motors, but it seems that it was fixed by itself. The drone also was drifting to the left all the time, probably bad calibration. Can I use another app and, for example set the recordings to be saved on the memory card directly (which is in the phone) ? Right now I am moving apps on the card so I can have decent amount of storage space for videos and stuff.
It shouldn’t be drifting at all once the Satillite’s are connected. Might be the controller gyro calibration telling to to go left, be sure and calibrate the sticks. Now I can’t remember if the video had sound from the drone. Not sure about another app, I know there are other venders that promote and sell the drone. Maybe one of theirs. Thanks for watching
@@b4ugo It was a bad calibration, indeed. (Not the one with the both joysticks pointing to the right and down, but the compass calibration where I rotate the drone while holding it horizontally) BTW My drone came with the VS GPS user manual, but it wasn't in a carton box or something, just a case with zip. It also managed to lift up my relatively heavy action camera, although it wasn't stable with it. I may try to calibrate it first without it and then mount it...
Hi! I’ve been thinking about getting a Holy Stone hs175D (I think you showed it in this video) but then saw this drone that has a 2 axis gimbal. Which one would you recommend? (I am a beginner and am not serious about my video quality but would like it to be as stable as possible) Also is there a difference in how smooth the video transmission is on the two drones?
This one isn’t on sale any more which puts it to close to the DJI MiniSE for $299 which might be the perfect drone for 90% of the people out there. The best value right now is the HS430 for $40 with my discount. It doesn’t have GPS but flies well and has a really decent camera. If it’s you first drone get the Hs430, then the SE but if that is out Of your price range I like the 175d better but it doesn’t have a multiple axes gimbal. I have a few more coming out soon. Thanks for watching
Actually it’s on sale for $154 on Amazon at the moment, and it’s not my first drone. Does that make a difference in your recommendation? I appreciate the response and love your content by the way!
That’s a great price, but this is still a budget WiFi drone, if you can spring for the SE at $299 you will not be disappointed. I think they sell it $100 to cheap, lol
Yea that’s what I’ve heard from a lot of people but I’m really just looking for this price range just to have some casual fun. So I’d just like to know if you would recommend this one over the hs175D. Sorry for all the questions, thanks for responding so soon!
i never had a problem with it, it is common to be nervous in the beginning, thats why i always say start with a little $30 drone to learn the orintation first. DOnt give uP!
Excellent, your channel is underrated
Why thank you so much, I’m trying to make it better every week!
James, your weight comparisons are ALWAYS hilarious.
Very usefull review also for the software information. Thanks
Glad it was helpful! Crazy good drone for the price!
Wow that’s a great deal. Nice christmas gift👍
I won this off a eBay win can’t wait to try it out looks like a decent drone for a budget drone could be close to a DJI se
You WON! Lol, funny i say the same thing, You won the right to pay for it, lol. Its a fun drone, love th color

Have you experienced problems with calibration? Do you think I should get obstacle avoidance camera for it? Or it’s good with out it?
No need for OA at this price point, it will give you a false sense of security, make sure your not near metal when calibrating, thanks for wathcing
