I generally agree but there are things that if you have the symptoms you probably have it. I’m formally diagnosed with Asperger’s but then there are other things that are more like symptoms that I clearly have as well. An example of this would be dermotillomania. It just means compulsive skin picking. I pick my skin compulsively with the scabs to prove it, so I’m comfortable saying that I have it.

why do people keep self-diagnosing themselves with "depression" or "social anxiety", thinking theyre cool and all, not realizing that there are actual people who suffer it? like okay, if youre feeling something is wrong, go check it up professionally, dont go around and say you have it when you actually dont know if you do.
I wouldn't say I have depression but I am depressed some days, it just randomly occurs to me that I'm never gonna' see my dog again (she died two weeks ago).

I was diagnosed with Alice in Wonderland Syndrome brought on by panic attacks. The first time I had it in 5th grade, my arms looked so SO damn long and when I would look down, my legs looked short. When I would look up, things that were far away from me seemed magnified and close to me. It felt like everyone who was talking got louder and louder. So scary. After 9ish years of suffering from it I tried this CBD oil and it helped me so much. I do smoke weed now (ofc I have a medical card) , but it helps me calm down and reset my mind. I used to get that panic attack feeling 1-4 times a day and now I get it maybe once or twice a week. I’m just saying, thc & cbd has helped my quality of life immensely . There was times in high school I would contemplate giving up on life. Some of these syndromes and diseases seem stupid and silly but it truly can drive a person to do anything to make it end.

Wow, so the image for antisocial personality is a video game controller. That actually has some serious implications. I'll assume you guys did not actually read those descriptions you have written. Because, contrary to the popular belief, antisocial does NOT mean introverted.
KineticManiac you’re right! I see you know your stuff people say they have ASPD because they play Xbox!

what do u mean ? all gamers are sociopath ! -the dude who made the video.
Hol' up…why is the picture for "antisocial personality disorder" a video game controller? Are the guys behind the video implying something? Darn boomers…
@@rokurokubi9949 But a lot of gamers don't have a low moral sense/conscience, and they don't necessarily show aggressive behavior in real life. Another word for a person with antisocial personality disorder is "sociopath." Not all gamers are sociopaths, and not all sociopaths are gamers.

I’m Smart? I saw you two times
To the people in the comments: Please DO NOT self diagnose!!! If you think you have a mental disorder please talk to a doctor or counselor and see if you can get tested for it but do not self diagnose and say you have something!
This annoys me. A lot of the comments they have self diagnosed or made things up for attention
Some people say they have close to everything on this list.
Go through a physician first (Family Doctor or psychiatrist) you want a full work up not just someone checking a list from the dsm without considering all the possibilities.
And something else to add, if you have ONE symptom of these disorders, that DOES NOT mean you have it.
Guys remember --- Don't self-diagnose yourself because you will start to believe it and you can develop it. Its better to keep them put of your mind
No offence to your opinion but I think it's better to get it checked up or tell someone because if you actually do suffer from it and you don't know it it will keep affecting you for the rest of your life
So like a placebo effect?
Similar to a placebo, a common example is when you people who feel depressed think they have depression do what they think depressed people are supposed to do, think exclusively negatively , self isolation, ect. Which can form to be actual mental disorders
YoonMinly This helped me a lot! I was diagnosed with anxiety, I put the scenario of me getting diagnosed out of my head and I felt Better. I have been improving since.
I want to self diagnose my self with happiness then

buddy it's expensive to go get therapy in this fucking economy, most people who say they've got depression and social anxiety show loads of the symptoms and literally can't go get help and use jokes as a way of coping. it's this mindset that leads to a bunch of them committing suicide bc they think they don't show severe enough symptoms that they're faking it for cool points.

I'M SO CUTE
The fact I have social anxiety, anxiety and claustrophobia and they were right next to each other is insane
