My Mother loved them and when she died 28 years ago I took over her small collection and now my daughters are collectors as well. I can spot a fake in literally a second as if you know your pieces for literally half a century, you know a fake instantly. I love your collection. Thank you for sharing it. ❤
Yep. I spend a ton of time browsing collection sites, releases etc. I have seen many figurines by other manufacturers that do come quite close to Swarovski quality, but with experience you can get pretty far. According to some videos the newer fake Annual Ornaments are pretty close to genuine, but I can't confirm that since I've never actually bothered to buy a fake. I have some figurines made by other manufacturers, but I keep them separate from Swarovski collection, so I've never actually shown those. Glad you enjoyed this collection update!
Love the squirrel🤩 You can clip it on the Edge of a little box standing on its side without a lid, opening facing back and something heavy in the botton👍 But, as the talented woodworker your husband is - it would be interresting to see what he could make for a perfect stand for the squirrel😃
Thanks :) I've actually considered both ideas, including drafting a quick sketch for a stand made out of the kind of wooden sticks I use to build wooden floors for dollhouse rooms (I have a whole room of dollhouse rooms). The only problem is that the tail looks like it'll attract tons and tons of dust, and I think I'd ruin it by having to dust it at least once a month. Perhaps I can get it properly displayed when I get the glass doors on my shelves. (We're working on our swimming pool room now. Approximately 500 000 pieces of individually laid mosaics. Le sigh.)
Souds like you have many projects on your hands🙂 Guess you will find the perfect solution👍 Dollhous rooms - that takes skills as well👌 Good luck on your mosaics 😊
