I became obsessed with the Tapestry embossing folder with that finished edge. I received mine today and am going to make some card sets this weekend. I was so inspired by this video! Thanks so much for always offering us new ways to use our stashes and make gorgeous cards to share.
Great job, Gina. Very useful techniques. To easily identify the top, bottom, & alternate sides of a die, stencil, or embossing folder, I put a dot of brightly colored nail polish on the lower right hand corner of my item. I always know the orientation with that little dot as my guide. The nail polish stays in place when I wash the stencils, etc. For my Master layouts sets, I color code each piece of a set with a dot of the same color of nail polish. Be certain to put the same color of dot on a storage pocket for each set. Works great for me!
Your creations always turn out so elegant. Love the atmosphere both of you create on your demos. What a great way to use embossing folders! Will be fun to experiment using two on one card. Thanks for the inspiration! 💖👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻👍🏼
Love these cards, Gina. Your videos are awesome. I enjoy Tom's playing in the background. When I watch your videos it's like you and I are in the same room. Thank you so much for sharing and for all the tips.
The cards are quite lovely! I’m especially fond of the pink one. Great technique and it’s as if the Tapestry EF was made specifically for split embossing the way you get that organic flowing edge! Beautiful! Thank you both for a great video! Tom I hope your throat feels 100% better!
Elegant cards Gina! I always appreciate another way to use my folders. I have also cut squares from my folders and created a pattern of 4 for a card front on white. It turned out lovely. One way to use up my mistakes!
I love this technique and will be using it a lot. I love the cards too. I am new to Gina K designs but love what I have seen. Thank you for a lovely tutorial xx
omg great today. Missed live. I just loved the music also and I found a vid from 2016 Happy Anniversary to my girl. I have many tears in my eyes. So beautiful! You are both awesome! Wow!
I love backing in black cardstock. It looks so elegant and I think it makes everything pop. Two beautiful cards!! I love the blue flowers!! Just got my embossing folders Tuesday. I am definitely going to try this technique. Thank you Gina! Beth
Small quick tip...when you do the side embossing (like card 2), you can use your washhii tape to mark how far up to place your EF. Just don't take off the back side of folder. Then you know that both sides will be same distance from edge.
I just watched the retiform technique and this embossing technique. I have the day off from watching my granddaughters. I will have to try these. They are such beautiful cards. Your signature thing is a black background and I love it. I saw the plastic container that you had ephemera in and my son saves his gum containers to give to me so that I can use them. Thanks for that good suggestion
The cards came out beautiful. I love the technique. Tip for avoiding tear when embossing spritz it with water and then emboss, it will give the paper a little give. Ty en let it dry.
Would love to hear Tom sing Barry White songs. Here in Australia we need your company to come here so we can order here. That blue is beautiful (powder blue). Gorgeous cards Gina.
Very pretty cards Gina and I love the 2 different embossing folders together. My sister in law, Linda, used to love your supplies for all the books she designed.
When using the card stock, I would put it under on the base plate under everything. I say this because I did it like you and destroyed my Spellbinder’s Platinum 6 as I could not for the life of me unjam it.
Absolutely love these two cards and the flowers. What are the blue ones called again? Is it still a available? Awesome cards! Love listening to Tom playing in the background ❤️
@@ladams1221 you see when she was placing the flowers and the leaves? then you would take a piece of the press and seal, lift it off the card, stamp your greeting and then when you are ready to glue, foam tape your arrangement, you then put it where you want put it down (make sure glue and foam tape have been added), then volia. not more fussing to get it back to where you were at.
I made a chucky tool with the lid of a candle and a circle of rug felt. Put some dollar tree pretty glass inside. My granddaughter has to have that now to stamp.
Thank you Gina and Tom you make beautiful music together while creating these wonderful cards!! ❤

Beautiful cards!!! Thanks for your time.
Very lovely. Just wondering about the "huga" sound at 16:30. Cracked me up. You're videos are always inspiring!

Great tip, Lori. I used my center ruler and made little tic marks, which worked, but your way is much better, :)
Yeah great idea,thx!!

The cards came out beautiful. I love the technique. Tip for avoiding tear when embossing spritz it with water and then emboss, it will give the paper a little give. Ty en let it dry.

So pretty!
Once you stamp a image can you draw a black line round it and cut it on circuit joy .
Do you ever mist with water on the back side using this technique?
Hi Gina and Tom !
have you thought of using press and seal til you are ready to put on the card?
I'm not familiar with that technique... for what purpose, please? 😊
I don't like using press and seal because I really enjoy hand placing each piece and popping certain parts up. But I know some people do use it. :)
I made a chucky tool with the lid of a candle and a circle of rug felt. Put some dollar tree pretty glass inside. My granddaughter has to have that now to stamp.
