This is my arrangement of the Rainbow Road theme taken from the soundtrack of Mario Kart 7 (Nintendo 3DS). It was originally written by Kenta Nagata and Satomi Terui for Nintendo.

Thanks ! This is one of those rare arrangements where the in-your-face upbeat rock only starts later. Some people did not like the long intro. But I really felt the melody was touching, and wanted to strengthen that.

This music is calming, soothing, and relaxing. It gives me this overwhelming feeling of unrestrained joy and happiness...
In short it's the exact opposite of what Rainbow Road makes me feel.

RR is hard, but it's not the hardest track in the game. For me that's either Bowser's Castle, Dino Dino Jungle, or DK Jungle.

***** I liked the chorus of the N64 version, and it's similar to this one, but the verse here speaks more things to me than the other one. Hence why I chose to arrange this instead. I won't cover the N64 song, in that context.
The timing works too. A time of around 1'50 under race conditions is actually really good.

He then says good-bye to us, a mash up of every episode starts rolling as this song plays, to finally end with the main picture of EC at 4:01 and a "thank you for everything".

I first heard Unsealed on my psp radio like 10 years ago almost, shoutcast WZMR, you've come so far, and are so much better than you were then. The nostalgia, to think that I first heard this song when I was 5 years old, on Mario Kart 64, I still listen to everything you put out, keep it up man.

Well this song contains the original song from Mario Kart 64 as well as original bits that have a huge emotional drive. It really got to my guts too, even without having played MK7 at all :)

My favorite all time classics will always be the older generation Mario Kart Titles. I'll keep them in my heart no matter what happens. I'll always look forward to them and the wonderful memories I had with these awesome games!! Nintendo has made my childhood 100 times better!! And I hope that they keep doing it in the future. They are certainly full of surprises.
Oh now that I think of it I also planned to arrange the SNES Rainbow Road music at some point, but have yet to do it. And I totally agree. I can't imagine how different my younger days would have been if not for Nintendo and their games!

Just hearing this reminds me of my dad, he was a huge fan of Mario Kart. He and I would play the Wii version of it on his time off of work. And he was also a fan of Rock & Roll; sometimes he would play it during our races. At one point, he told me he wanted to see the next installment (Mario Kart 7). However, he unfortunately passed away one year before Mario Kart 7 was released... 2018, and I found this in my "Recommended for you" section. After hearing this, I cried. It reminds me so much of him and the races and battles we had together.

Very glad that mk8's rainbow road features an electric guitar quite heavily. I think it's the best rainbow road theme yet, but this cover of mk7 is of a very similar standard- excellent job!
Yeah I've heard the new versions with live instruments and they are awesome (there are 2 of them it seems, one in the Special Cup and one in the Lightning Cup - I really like the latter more than the former, perhaps because of nostalgia). But MK7's has something more, can't explain it :) I'm glad you liked how I threw my own spin at it either way, thanks !
***** There's just something about mk8's (the special cup one) theme that I love though, I think the guitar creates a calming, perhaps even nostalgic effect for me. But yeah I would definitely agree that they did the n64s' theme justice.
