I learn piano exactly the same way, though I do the hours over several days. Anyone who wants to do this well, there was an article I read that really helped me. Here are the 3 tips that greatly sped up my learning:
1. Press only the right notes - when you are first learning the notes, go as slowly as you need to in order to play the notes correctly right from the start. This way, you don’t ever practice wrong notes and you won’t make mistakes easily later because your fingers and mind won’t have any memory of wrong notes.
2. Learn the notes one hand at a time and then together - this one really helped, especially with complicated songs, as you will hear the melody and harmony clearly before putting them together and that makes it easier to remember the song.
3. Before you start learning the piece, break it up into parts and understand the structure - learning the structure ie intro, verse, chorus etc makes it so much easier to remember where you are as you are learning and takes a load off your mind. It’s all about memory!
Good luck to all you aspiring UA-cam pianists. The world needs better melodies!
He is not learning piano. He is trying to memorize a song. Learning piano is learning to read sheet music
@@Daniel-wn4yj I learned to read sheet music by the age of 6, studied the ABRSM syllabus but I hated learning the piano that way. Shame because I ended up missing out on years of joy and fun. I've spent more time playing and enjoying the piano since I learned how to read synthesia videos. Maybe it's the colours, or the fact that I can visualise the actual playing of a piece that way. I do agree though, it is important to learn how to read sheet music, as it will give you a clear understanding of the structure of music pieces.
Adrian Mark I practice it this way as well. For me it is a lot easier to see which keys to play. Ik that learning sheet music is important but I’ll probably stick to practicing from synthesia videos.
@@Daniel-wn4yj well idk.... I learned how to play 4 instruments and I really don't know how to read sheet music that well. I think what got me through it is I can listen to the piece and be able to play it by ear... and it helped me with All instruments including piano... I only need Tutorials for detail parts.... So what I'm pretty much trying to say is that you don't need A sheet of paper to know how to play music And to say there's only one way You're really closing your self off sadly.😶😶

I'm trying to learn a song for a talent show at my school and I'm not given up :3
I remember how as a beginner it took me about a month and a half, now it takes me about 10 to 30 minutes max to learn a song. But if the song is like too advance and I wanna learn it than it’ll take me a week to two. I love the progress I’ve made over 5+ years of being a self taught. Anyone can do it if you give yourself time and commitment to finish what you want done. There’s no progress if you didn’t put more effort into your work. You’ve given me the determination to try and learn a song in a day.
Sheet music tells you dynamics rhythm and more. Sheet music skills transfer from piece to piece so in the long run you will be able to learn very difficult pieces with relative ease depending on you experience with sheet music. And it is way more detailed that just notes and it’s much better than synthesia in the long run. However, for people who would like to only play a handful of easy pieces or songs, then synthesia is a great tool for them. I think synthesia is great toobecause it gets more people into piano. I myself started with synthesia and now I am taking weekly lessons practicing sheet music and learning more than I ever expected. Don’t be afraid to try, it’s fun!

Respect dude. Thank you for inspiring us to keep on learning our instruments even if it's hard. Thanks brooo
You are a genius. Usually new player don't know what fingers to use but you know immediately to use all your 10 fingers instead of 1 or 2
This whole piece is basically the same 3 sequences repeating over and over again, occasionally adding some downward scales.
Bass clef is basically chord arpeggios, which is really easy.
Instead of practicing 2 hands at the same time for 10 hours, what I may suggest is, practice just your right hand non stop for 30-45 minutes interval for 2-3 sessions. By the end of it, you'd have gotten your the sequence and fingering right.
Then let your scales arpeggio take over. For an experienced pianist, the bass clef probably takes you 5-6 run through, probably within 15-30 minutes you'd be used to it.
Then combining both hands together probably take another 30-45 minutes to master.
Once you can play without mistake, spend another 30-45 minutes into developing your play style, and implement your emotions into it.
By the end of 5-6 hours of total practicing, you'd be able to perform "professionally", instead of doing 10 hours straight and still make mistakes here and there.
Just my opinion on how to practice the right way. :)
Cheers.
You’d probably need sight reading experience to do that. He was probably using synthesia or learning from a UA-cam video which typically teaches both hands at the same time. Idk, I’m not a professional.
Ronny Ip even when it teaches both hands at the same time you can just learn one and then the other one hah

You don't need a a real piano to learn piano, just get a full sized keyboard
there are a few electric pianos online for less than 200$. of course not the best quality but good investment for 1-2 years
