Hi, I'm currently in education. What's the best way to get in to underwriting?
Hi! I would suggest getting into a neighboring department (Client Care/Billing/Claims) and then moving over to underwriting. It will build the foundation of the terminology, systems used and you can shadow underwriting.

@@SillSil that's awesome I'm currently studying to become a claims adjuster, are they kinda hand and hand when it some down to handling insurance policies?
You got this! Not so much hand in hand but at different stages in the whole insurance process. Underwriters assess the risk that comes into the company [should we insure this?] and the adjuster researches or assesses the claim to possibly payout of the insurance [did this really happen and if so how should we proceed?]. Hope that helps!💜
