Question, I work from home and need a headset that can cancel loud noise my children make. I saw this video and I'm interested. I work on a company laptop. So, my question is would I be able to hear phone calls coming in through my laptop? Would I need a phone to make it work? You did mention that it's compatible but would i need a phone? Hopefully this makes sense.
Hi Youa, this headset also connects with a laptop so a deskphone isn't needed. If you use your laptop for calls and meetings already, this headset is plug and play.
Unfortunately neither of the Yealink wireless headsets will work on the T46G. A wireless headset compatible to consider is here ua-cam.com/video/Zc0JXt-DTi4/v-deo.html
@@DinoTheGodfather Definitely an investement, but if you're on the phone or meetings a lot, well worth it. Customers typically have this type of headset 5+ years. If you need a headset that's cheaper that connects only to the desk phone, you may want to consider a certified refurbished model like here headsetadvisor.com/products/plantronics-cs540-convertible-wireless-headset You'll get the same like new quality and warranty with a nice cost savings :)
Hi David, what is the make and model of your desk phone? I ask because this series of headsets does have that feature, allowing you to hear a beep tone in the headset when there's an incoming call away from the phone.
@@davidhazen2394 Okay great. Can you make sure the headset + desk phone is up to date. Your desk phone needs to be V86 or above. The microphone is noise canceling and the speakers dont have the ANC feature to turn on or off, but it does have the dual speakers to cover both ears so you can zone in and reduce unwanted background noise.
@@HeadsetAdvisor thank you for your input. Is there anything like poly voyager head set that you reviewed that will work with land lines for business use.
Impressive for yealink, a very nice review David. If possible, kindly compare head-to-head the Yealink WH62 to Jabra Engage 75 & Sennheiser SDW 5036 on the following, a) Range test 2) Office Ambient Noise, and c) Blender Headset Advisor style tests :-)
Hi Sean, yes this headset is compatible with both models. The headset will plug into the USB port of the phone. Link for reference here headsetadvisor.com/products/yealink-wh62-dual-speaker-dect-wireless-office-headset?_pos=1&_sid=23f625031&_ss=r
I also wanted to ask you a question. Isn't it a major concern that Yealinks do not allow you to replace batteries as opposed to Leitner and other headset. It seems to me that this that Yealinks Headsets are a 2-4 year throw away product.
Hi David, great question! On average most customers can expect 5+ years of use from Yealink and many other business grade headsets. That being said, if you're a company that's using a headset 8 hours a day everyday, then chances are the headset will give you more of the 4 years of life before a battery needs to be replaced. Although Yealink doesn't have a replaceable battery in these models, you can purchase either of these headsets separately with a new battery for a significant discount. Lasly, Yealink created their own line of wireless headsets to have a better user experience when connecting to Yealink desk phones. For example, out of the box you get the ability to answer/end calls when away from your desk with your headset. That means less missed calls and voicemails to listen to. Other headsets like Leitner require you to purchase an additional adapter for this feature, causing an additional expense (most customers want this feature).
Can you help-- we have Yealink T46S phones at our office. we are using Plantronics CS361N wireless headset plus a Yealink adapter EHS36. we are getting echo. How can we fix this?
We’d be glad to help. 1. On the left side of the charging base is a one through four dial you can rotate. It kind of looks like you could take a quarter and turn the dial. Make sure number one lines up with the raised silver ridges. 2. On the bottom of the charging base is an A through D switch. Make sure that’s set to B. 3. In the back of the charging base there is a one through four switch. Set this to three. 4. Make sure your desk phone volume never reaches max volume. Leave the phone volume around 50 to 75%. Let us know if this helps!
YeaLink is a good headset

Yealinks are nice but you can't hear the phone ringing though the headset that makes it hard to hear the phone if you are away from the base

The base doesn’t ring but it will ring in your headset.
Hi. Can you help with connectivity compatibility on the Yealink WH62🤔
