I'll say this about this season, the 70's setting was smart. That made the house itself a character. The first season's house was so bland, and if they keep doing what they did this season, it'll help individualize them. Maybe we'll see the Judge's great great grand pappy in the next one.
The S1 house’s blandness was good for the first attempt at the show because it was a blank slate (perfect canvas for mustard) but this was a very necessary step up.
Chris almost immediately breaks it to TJ that Shinji back stabbed him. So there went that angle.
after watching this, IMO Sam and Jet really should get an actual game designer as a consultant on their team next season. it’s clear they have lofty ambitions of fishtank both being a game and telling an overarching story, but they have no idea how to funnel people into making decisions that suit the narrative, and when it comes to challenges they’re especially weak at creating interesting scenarios. you can tell Sam brings skills as far as the improv comedy aspect of the show, he’s good at making people act in funny ways, and Jet did pretty good with the logistics this season, but the game/narrative aspect of this season was a total mess and you could tell they were scrambling the whole way through. they need someone who is an expert on that stuff, bad.
"Our desire to force a story is fucking with their idea of fairness" is craaaaaaaazy.
They had this talk in the attic knowing they would be watched. They were firing the crowd up for a pulse check. If you think youre a fly on the wall during an important meeting they couldve had in the basement. You gotta think bigger you silly billy.
@@luchaluchalucha Why do you bots keep saying this... Its supposed to be a game show.. And these ppl have put up with bullshit for 42 fukn days straight... That fact that they was actually talking about rigging it at all is complete bullshit.. Its not just about "fair"
TJ was divinely protected, did yall see how many headshots he took? shinji should have won and it was devastating to see him collapse, but GG TJ.
Yeah very surprised Shinji got winded so quickly. Maybe all the smoking the last few weeks did a number on his lungs.
Is anyone surprised the stuttering sperg that can dance to music for hours has extreme endurance?
@@hairharbor5080 For sure, Shinji hardcore chain-smoked while TJ rejected cigs for most of the show. It's unlucky for Shinji it was an endurance challenge, his fighting form is so much better.
yeah Shinji landed a pretty good hit when he dodged TJ's first punch in the very last round
They really have to figure out the win conditions at least a week in advance. Making rules up on the spot removes the genuine competitive aspect of the show, it becomes less organic and less like a reality show all together.
Well it wasn’t really fair to start because of all the token tomfoolery, I think they realized had bad they screwed up and were trying to salvage it.
As Judge Jedidiah GOLDSTRIKER once said “It’s fishtank not fair tank”
Idk I missed tayleigh losing, but got to see a dying Shinji being held by the winner as he received the... From Judge
Judge was concerned Shinji had a head injury because he was so exhausted and short of breath still but Shinji was maintaining to judge that he was just tired. Shinji is likely okay, just severely winded. Everyone keeps parroting that he has a head injury
Just the fact that they had this little talk and was actually thinking about ending their own way is complete fucking bullshit... These ppl have been stuck in that house for 42 fuk'n days and have put up with the MOST bullshit you can ever do to a person trying to break them down mentally and physically and they was actually talking about rigging in FRONT of the audience... smh
The entire show has been rigged and openly talked about... Are you stupid
Almost like they did it on purpose i mean its not like there is a spot in the house without cameras to discuss "rigging it" right
It's almost like Sam heard what I was saying in my head as they were discussing this. It just seems lame for production to just decide who wins to make the whole show into some kind of short film. It would waste the contestants time even competing.
That's what reality TV is though. Even Alex Stein talked about it on this season how contracts say voting doesn't matter.
Yeah jet gets so fucking caught up in playing god that he forgets that everyone watching dosent want to watch a film they want a real competition.
Production was unlucky this season. Shinji was immediately compelling and would have been the no-brainer favorite to win but he never returned on that because he didn’t have the will to win or compete with others. Tayleigh wasn’t compelling but she did suffer the most shit though she wasn’t likable or creative enough to handle the viewers besides just showing up. TJ suffered from Shinjis problems and became more compelling with his arc though it felt somewhat flat and too wholesomerino to just give it to him. Not a single one of these contestants felt like good winners, whereas in season one it was obvious. The boxing fight was probably the best choice in the end for the sake of just putting this shit to bed so they can find a better cast.
That being said 75% of Swamp Olympics sucked and they need to put more time into writing. Hopefully they don’t rush it like they did season 2 or this show is just going to become slop.
I disagree that Season 1 was obvious. Josie did technically win by points in the final challenge but not by much.
Yeh the random challenges towards the end of season 1 and 2 were/are really boring and low effort. They need to come up with a better way to end the show, perhaps some sort of long form competition. Doing random gross challenges doesn't really take personality into account, although I realise it's a bit of moot point considering how boring most of the fish were this season.
@@user-og6hl6lv7p on paper the contestants this season looked great. JC was interesting because she has no idea. Summer was crazy but we didn’t know how crazy. Cole could’ve been a great contender but he bitched out. Jimmy went full Jimmy. Tayleigh was competitive but didn’t endear herself beyond her fan group like Letty ended up doing. Shinji was the Josie of this season but got weak in the end.
Hopefully next season the use of an outside casting company helps with some these issues.
Despite how much he was propped up by production...TJ COULD TAKE A BEATING AND HE KEPT COMING BACK FOR MORE. Sam could have accidentally killed him in their fight, and any of Sam's blows could've put any of us down; the guy takes growth hormones after all. But TJ KEPT COMING BACK.
That's what he stands for, and that's what we all should strive for.
@@joenelson4629all of them where helped by production at some point. All of them had the same heart to hearts and opportunities. TJ just took advantage of them and actually improved on himself. Tay and shinji had great shots at winning to but like Sam said. Tay made enemies of everyone in social game and then proceed not to looking for the Mcguffin in the house they hid that would have put her in contention. And Shinji didn’t really push himself all that much out of his comfort zone and in general towards the end had a defeatist attitude.
thanks for all the clips, see u next season
For anyone who missed it. Tayleigh got screwed because both Shinji and TJ teamed up to deny her points. Then there was a final boxing match between Shinji and TJ. Shinji got way more hits but surprisingly got exhausted. That's how TJ won.
Personally I feel Tayleight "deserved" it the most. Shinji tried to quit a few days ago and the TJ arc was forced as hell by production. TJ never got hassled enough to really deserve it imo. But the show has to cater to fans to make money so whatever. Josie didn't deserve to win either.
i mean one of them had to win and tbh I think TJ deserved it most. Tayleigh kinda screwed herself by the way she acted towards TJ which made him just want her to lose and didn't mind losing to Shinji as much. Shinji just kind of ran out of steam. He only stayed because people asked him to see it through to the end.
@@storm___ Yeah it was definitely a strategic error on her part. But to be fair it all depended on how production chose to end the show. The way they chose to end it disadvantaged Tayleigh.
I think her stealing the chips hurt her. It made TJ really go against her and I think production said it best when they said she was to far villain to fast.@@hairharbor5080
So there was never anything behind the curtain in the attic? What was all the construction and stuff early on? I thought they was going to have a final obstacle course or hell room.
The attic walls are false. It's a bigger room but artificially condensed.
@@Samuel.... I know that’s why I thought there were more rooms past the attic.
I think they had to change the plan halfway through the season. When they realized the contestants were to redacted to follow simple instructions without messing up the bits. Notice how the whole gaslighting about who is or isn't an actor, and the whole storyline/mistery with the symbols, the attic, timetravel etc just stopped abruptly. Right after the "prouction told me" debacle.
The new storyline had to be TJ's hero arc and stuff like that. Something so simple that even Trish would get it.
They even made Tj paint over the attic floor to symbolize this change.
@@tomasarana8450 always funny how you people give production this big plan when you see they make stuff up on the spot.
@@tdowell8615 Don't call me you people. You are the one confused by what's behind the curtain dumbass. What kind of answer did you want to get? That they just ran out of drywall so they went for the curtains?
Tay wins, TJ joins the crew like Josie, Shinji comes back next season like Simmons, this is my ideal finally
Crazy how Josie saved Season 2 by reading chat.
I think they rushed this ending. By which I mean they started too late. It should have been down to two people a couple days ago.
Im really glad you got this clipped cause I missed the whole ending!
What was the big bucket of soup for?
Sposed to be for wrestling but they ran a twitter poll and boxing came up
They really dropped the ball on this whole finale. Wasn’t prepared for all scenarios. They wanted tayleigh to win so bad
They clearly didn't want her to win, if they did it would've been TJ vs Tay as a rematch for the finale considering after their first fight Sam trained those two in boxing individually. I think the only reason shinji made it to final 2 despite not even trying in the finale was because he was so well liked and tayleigh wasn't
lets fuckin go
Total TJ Victory. Cope ReactSimply.
Lol I've been accused of hating/supporting nearly every fish this season

The production of this show is basically improv. Nothing is planned.
i too would improvise when half of the cast walks out within the first 2 weeks
Yeah 90 percent of the shit they planned fell through. Part of the problem is they aren’t great at casting people. Like on actual reality tv shows producers will analyze 1000s of potential contestants looking for personality quirks strongly held beliefs etc…… using that info to determine the right mix of people who will create drama amd entertainment. Fish tank has a much smaller pool of contestants and a handful of people on staff who don’t have time to gameplan everything.
