RPM products are awesome!! Those hubs are great.. A little tip for your subscribers. And your self.. A 24 hr. Soak in WD-40 silacone base lub. Will help with flex.. You also should have put a small amount of bearing oil in the new bearings. And also should have cleaned and oiled the stock outter bearing before reinstalling into new hubs.👍👍 IMO I also have the RPM hubs and pins for now..But Those threaded pins should have been a full 4mm thread if you notice the treaded end is smaller. It's a 3mm thread. If you launch the X sometimes they will break.. the CEN hing pins are a full 4mm a little beefier thread. Then RPMs you can also use the pins on the upper and outter hinges. A little mod to the pin head is all that's needed. To the upper outter fronts for the steering arm on caster for clearance... a dremel will take care of it or grinder... just food for thought bud. Good video man👍👍 you should take a look at the new arms from traxxas the HD arms they are sweet. About to switch over to them. And see how they work. Soaked them in WD-40 sliacone for about 48hrs. Love the X such a beast.... keep up the vids man.
Thanks man! Yeah I didn’t realize that til later that I should have applied some lubricant to the new bearings…I have tried using wd40 on stock arms before but I didn’t like how greasy it made everything….it definitely makes it more flexible though…I have seen the Traxxas HD arms but I haven’t tried them
@@RCKnockout what's up bud. What type of WD-40 did you use. You got to use the silicone style of WD.. Not the regular WD40. The silicone style wont be greasy.. With the bearings I use 3and1 dry LUBE. It helps a little with the crap sticking to them.. maybe some dust but not as much sand and dirt... happy bashing bud 👍👍
I went with the traxxas HD arms. I’ve heard they are better than rpm. Rpm is great for almost everything else but the xMaxx arms. I’ve heard from several people. But everyone gonna have different experiences. Thanks for the video.
I can't wait to get this first upgrade for my truck. The rpm captured hinge pins I've heard are a must. I have already had hinge pins pop out myself. Thanks for the videos
Heya what shock oil do you run in the x maxx I think I need a heavier weight, also when I turn and give it throttle it makes a clicking noise, it's only quite new maybe 10 runs on it cheers
I run 50wt front and rear….if it happens at full turn the inside of the wheel could be contacting the suspension arm a little bit…mine does that all the time
I literally bought my xmaxx on Nov 13 2022.. and the stock rear hubs are the exact same as the rpms I just got.. here I thought that my xmaxx had tiny bearings in the hubs and I come to find out the bearings in my stock hubs are the same size as the rpms ones.. anyone else bought a new xmaxx this year and have that happen lol

@@stonerrc4626 I just use the conventional Wd-40….I’ve used the silicone stuff before though…still seemed like it attracted a lot of dust
@@RCKnockout the sliacone was just for the arms. For bearings I use dry LUBE from 3n1
@@stonerrc4626 I’ve never heard of it….I’ll have to check that out thanks 😊
Rpm threaded hinge pins are amazing
If I start having issues I’ll upgrade to those

No problem man! Yeah I don’t have any experience with those….I just know that Rpm arms are extremely flexible
I loved the tips and tricks with the walk through
Glad to hear you found it helpful!
Very useful upgrades. I added the rpm threaded hinge pins. Also the front rpm hub carriers. Enjoy the difference 😉👍
I didn’t realize Rpm made front hub carriers??
@@RCKnockout RPM Front Axle Carriers (Incl. Oversized 20x32x7 Inner Bearings) - Traxxas X-Maxx
@@gregory9157 didn’t realize they made those…thought they just made the rear hub carriers
@@RCKnockout I did both front and rear. And since then I never had any problems with it.
Time to go to bed 🛌 now. 04.00 am here.
Good night 👍
@@gregory9157 take it easy….I’ll have to look into those upgrades…thanks

No problem….yeah I’ve had the pins fly out on the stock arms before…If it starts doing it with these then I’ll get the aftermarket pins
Nice upgrade.
Thanks!
I enjoy these videos

If anything breaks on my slash i use rpm replacements
👍👍👍👍👍
That’s a good idea! They make good stuff
Where did you get that wheel wrench I need one for my x maxx
It came with my Arrma Kraton lol 😂

I just sent my XMax into a curb after wheeling and broke an A arm on the right front
What has been your experience with the RPM arms?
That’s a massive bummer
They’ve been excellent….no complaints
So how much did this all cost
I wanna say a little bit over $100 if you include the rear hub carriers
