People who are saying this is shit, please post a video of you doing it, because unless you are a proffesional opera singer, this is extremely hard! So leave Danny alone, he sings pop not opera and personally this is amazing for him to achieve
It's simply beautiful! Love this version so much. Danny's voice is amazing. He's probably one of my favorites lead singers (Tom's in this list, of course) and this song fit perfectly with his voice. Beautiful!
this song means emotionaly so much to me, though it wasn't his best performance. i tink it is, because this song means so so so much to me and so does mcfly..
He got better towards the end; but it still wasn't great :/ He struggles so much with the language, bless him, that he forgets his opera training. :( I do love him; GO ON DANNY!
I studied classical voice in college. Here's my take: The final notes are really good! Actually all of his high notes are good. His mid to mid high range is a bit stiff and doesn't have the legato you would want for this genre. I'm not sure how he was coached but I feel like he should be able to achieve this proper vocal flexibility and legato. Perhaps his coaching focused more on ping/cut (forward resonance) and vocal power which he definitely demonstrates.
All I thought of was Will Ferrell from Step Brothers. lolol No, but Danny was really good. I didn't expect to see him do something like this. I'm completely impressed.
danny mentioned once he'd like for mcfly to team up with meatloaf and record an album with him now that would have been amazing but sadly it wont ever happen now that meatloaf is dead but maybe they could do an album with brian may that would be pretty epic seeing as brian did join them on stage at wembley once

Johanna R I think that's the point is it not? He isn't an opera singer, as you said your brother is a beginner, as in trained from the start, Danny has been using his voice in a different way forever, in ways that make changing the habit near impossible
Of course he doesn't have the skill of an opera singer and in comparison to a professional this does sound a bit flat (until the end) but I think he did a brilliant job and I love it, especially considering it's Italian. 😍
I don’t think he has a flat voice but the deep huskiness of his voice imo isn’t suited to this style of music. In my opinion he is by far the best singer in Mcfly but his voice just doesn’t suit this type of genrr
