I do have a question if you don't mind (total newbie artist type) I have chalks - dovecraft trays and all night media ones, what is the difference between those and pan pastels?? Thank you so much for your kindness Tracy. Really appreciated! To answer your question I have no experience of the dove craft product. So far as I know the pan pastels are much more than chalk. They are artist quality pigments and contain binder which help them adhere to the surface of the card. But use what you have and experiment. I always lay down a first layer of ink or watercolour and use pastels to enhance what’s underneath etc. maybe your chalks will work too. Also it helps to spray the pastels with fixative or hair spray before stamping on top . I hope that helps. 😊😁

My son did fine art and my daughter fashion and textiles! My mum used to paint so we are an arty farty family!I’ve learnt a lot over the years through experimenting I suppose! I did conveyancing when I started out in private practice. Ultimately I became an equality lawyer working for the public sector. I took a career break at the end of June.
