I know you don't get many comments, but I just wanted to say I really appreciate your book reviews. You pick important books and provide excellent summaries of the main ideas through a conservative lens. Much appreciated. Keep up the excellent work!
By the way, Dewey's "pragmatism" is entirely unpragmatic. I consider it "anarcho-socialism." He wants widespread human cooperation without hierarchy. In other words, ENTIRELY UTOPIAN, the OPPOSITE of "pragmatism."
Worst of all, it is these ideas that underpin the philosophy of American public education.

Exactly right about Dewey. Pragmatism needs to be entirely revisited from the right.

@@natureandthenation I consider the spread of Dewey's "anarcho-socialism" faux-pragmatism to be the philosophical root of today's progressive globalism. Because Dewey was fiercely anti-nationalist, and advocated the use of global free trade to undermine "war-mongering" nationalism. I believe he originated WW1's demonization of Germany, who he detested for its defense of hierarchy and tradition. This anti-German sentiment lead to the punitive Versailles treaty. And we know how that wound up.
I also believe today's WOKENESS is connected to Dewey's fundamental antipathy to hierarchy. He wanted education to be, essentially, without hierarchy.
      Dangerous, dangerous dreamer that guy.
