You know when Red Mountain stops erupting all of the ash in Morrowind will eventually turn it into extremely fertile land. Morrowind may one day be the most prosperous agricultural society in all of Tamriel.
WafflingMean44 it was pre-Red year
WafflingMean44 never thought about that...
#MorrowindBelongsToTheSaxheel
If shor's/lorkhans heart were destroyed then there would not be a Mundus, the Nerevarine merely severed its power from the physical plane.
Huh...
Josh Field wouldn't really matter because any trace of argonian culture is clearly gone, besides the slaves.
There's more ebony in morrowind bc it's also where the heart is and ebony is lorkhans blood
Damn
Isn't ebony said to be the blood of Malacath?
Kylie W EXACTLY. Even when I was an ES noob I thought that it would make sense for Dark elves to have the most ebony gear. But they don't
That is logic right there Lol
There is a source or it's just interpretation about ebony be lorkhan's blood?
13:10 ''Oh don't mind me, just ruining your immersion... Move along, citizen.''
I assume it's a reference to the East India Company
Flimpeen Flarmpoon exactly what I was thinking
yes, yes it is
no, just am empire of similar structure to the british empire, ave a name that resembles the EITC, and functions in the same way...
Yeah, their were multiple trading companies during the renaissance the age of imperialism in Europe. The major player's of the era saw the massive advantages to such a company. So it's easy to see why the empire would create such a company to make more money.
Flimpeen Flarmpoon the proper term is the honorable east indian company
there is something soothing, almost hypnotizing about your rambling. love your content.
"eeebony"
Eyebonery.
eeebony. ticks me off >:(
Same as the East India Trade Company
UTU VIS I read that first lol. Now that I think of it.. did Bethesda name it like that on purpose?
Mikey G
They actually did
More than likely
Groisu Yea I already knew that. Thx for the info guys. Easter eggs and references everywhere, that's Bethesda :)
Groisu, please use punctuation.
You say intelligent stuff but it's hard to read.
he's back
Brian Piccolo guess who's back.... back again
Rhexx is back... back again
Brian Piccolo *black
*Grey skinned
"ebony grows better in morrowind"
I'm not sure you know how ore it formed bro...
Ore forms
Uforianer well it’s true.
I feel that the East Empire Trading Company is another missed opportunity in this series for faction's
This was fantastic, love the music too. Really sets the tone of the whole video. Well Done :D
wow, he made a full video about the East Empire Trading Company without mentioning the real life equivalent of the East India Trading Company.
YES FINALLY! love your lore vids because of how casual they are but so interesting
One thing is for sure about them - they're extremely satisfying to steal from for whatever reason.
The quality of your narration has improved a lot since I last watched one of your videos.
I would like to think that the Empire's best troops are ebony-clad and entrenched, ready for the next war with the Aleri Dominion.
And various resources traded for the empire ensure the best of the best is channeled to the legion and their smiths.
I love these videos, the background scenic views, the soft music, the content... absolute masterpieces!
For a bunch of things being illegal to sell due to the EETC, I sure can sell all of those items XD
Missed your Skyrim content man
I like your videos, but this one was GREAT. Never thought about this stuff when playing Morrowind 14 years ago.
Great video Rhexx! Once again, a topic that I never really put a lot of thought into, but you explained it so well. Thanks for getting back into Skyrim, I know a lot of people were begging for it, but I loved the D&D videos! Do whatever you're happy doing!
I think the east empire trading company is going to find out all the stuff I sell ebony, dwemer, artefacts, mead, skooma and moon sugar
East Empire company left because the mine dried, not the other way around.
I could listen to you read instruction manuals for coffee makers all day. Your voice and your background music are perfect.
Holy shit a skyrim video
Brock McIntosh ikr lel
Great content, always have enjoyed your videos. Your a very good commentator, it would be nice to see more Lore/History about various aspects of Tamriel ie, different houses or ruling factions in High Rock, Houses of Morrowind, Families of the Summerset Isles, Clan Direnni history etc etc. Hope to see more soon, cheers
Listening to your Lore vids while playing Skyrim = perfect combo. Please don't stop doing these, they're awesome :D
13:20 moon walkin guard
These commentary videos are the best thing you have done hands down, I love them. The music you use in the background is perfect, just everything about them is perfect. I just wish you had more because I'm just watching them over and over lol...please do more! ❤
Omg... THANK YOU. I've been scanning this channel for new, tasty skyrim stuff! (I'm not that into d&d.. but i'm honestly sure those vids are great to ;D)
Is theres a west empire company?
Possible there's one. While there's no lore that mentions it, you'll notice that the "East Empire Company" is mostly East (With the exceptions of branches in Skyrim) of the Empire's Imperial city. It's possible a West Empire Company was made for places like Highrock and Hammerfell (and Western Cyrodiil). Why there is no such mention of a company in Skyrim? Don't know. Maybe it doesn't exist? Maybe it no longer exists (As Hammerfell broke ties with the Empire and Highrock has its own problems)?
Anti Eternum or the aldmeri dominion destroyed it in the white gold concordat or something like that i suppose
All I know is there's a map of EEC trade routes in their warehouse and they have routes all over Tamriel
Chaiel7 maybe the east empire company began in eastern cyrodill and eliminated the other trading companies and got a monopoly which is why it is in provinces like skyrim and why there is no west empire company anymore
can we just take a moment to acknowledge that if any of the future games are titled 'Merithic' 'Atherious' or 'Nirn' there will be an instant overflow of hype?
I wish there were more of these, your Elder Scrolls Commentary videos are my favorite! So amazing!
Simply luv your TES-videos. Your backgroundstories add to the TES-feeling. So thank you for your time and work.
I'm stoked. I've listened to all of your Skyrim lore vids and have been hoping you would continue. Thanks
I've been watching your videos for years I hope you don't get offended by this but your English has gotten incredibly better you can barely hear your accent anymore LOL keep up the good work bro. it's comforting to know there is someone out there that loves the Elder Scrolls as much as I do
I agree I just recently started cutting them down as I realize they were too long I like watching really long gaming videos but I realize most people don't, thank you for checking me out by the way
I believe it's the scrolls version of east Indian company. and that company has much power .
Great Skyrims back!!! i hope its not forced though to please the fans D: well, interesting video and keep up the great content:]
It's cool that you're touching on subjects that aren't tackled all that often. I want more videos connected to TES like this. Maybe something even more in-depth.
By far the most underrated skyrim youtuber out there while secretly being the best
This is awesome! Just finished an East Empire Trading Company quest too. Love these videos, Keep it up Rhexx :)
you shouldnt be nervous bro, we LOVE your videos!
I love how elder scroll set most of the lore into legend story, that can be retcon or become different tale at any time.
Damnit Rhex why do you have to upload another skyrim vid when i'm doing my homework!?
I saw the title in the videos to the right and thought it said East _India_ Company but then I read it again and saw who uploaded it and said "awwww yeaaa"
The East Empire Trading company is obviously a hint at the European East India Company's that was a big deal in among other places Great Britain.
Their power often rivaled the kings them self.
I love your skyrim videos please keep doing them
Bro you got me hooked on your videos. Please upload more frequently... sorry but your material is really good.
Thank you for returning
That war off dunmer v argonians is like the perfect battle beaten my friends favourite race dunmer and my fav race agrogonians
I think I'm going to start the quest where you build up Raven Rock in TESIII: Bloodmoon. Just to see the whole story behind it. It's intriguing, because when I first walked there, I was like: Well, where is it? *stares at the map for 2 minutes then sees a guy standing nearby* huh...they're going to build Raven Rock! :D Should be fun.
You should be able to work with them In a DLC or crush their Ressources. So, join east western company or new influencing pirates that try to take them over.
some more solstheim lore would be cool, its an interesting place
Seeing a new Skyrim video from you was an emotional moment
Yes! More Skyrim! Also more skyrim/elder scrolls lore please!
Man you make some great lore videos buddy. I like them all.
-Who're the east trading company?
🎶merchants probably🎶
Chickens might have been a better example of an animal not minding you taking it's young.
Holy SHIT! You made a Skyrim video? I'm joking XD, nice to see you back :)
It would have been pretty awesome if you could join the East Empire Trading Co. as a sort of trader faction. Like maybe you can become a merchant for them and basically acquire various things they can sell and make key trading partners for them via persuasion.
Also, beside Ebony being mainly in Morrowind there's also Adamantium that only occurs there, and it's supposed to be the absolute strongest metal ever, it's unfortunate it didn't make an appearance in the DB dlc.
This is making me want to play some hella morrowind. I have it modded very well and ready to play after much effort and tweaking but never got around to it. Thanks for the motivation this video brought back tons of memories of the early days of your elder scrolls videos.
For your next D&D video please talk about the mimics, really interesting creatures :o
Lol, you talk like Christopher Walken in some bids in this video :D Awesome!
Love your Skyrim videos.Keep Going
I heard someone was talking about monopolies, I've been summoned
I really miss these videos soooooo much
Hey rhexx, I was playing through skyrim (AGAIN) and I played the quest with hermeous mora and the Ogma Infinum(I think that's what it's called) and I was wondering, what is that book? What is the story or the lore of that book? Is it like as important as mysterium xarxes? How was it created? It is, in Skyrim, the single most useful item in the game? So it has to have some story right?
im so glad you returned to skyrim!+++
Do you ever think of maybe expanding your lore content to ESO? It'd definitely be something I haven't seen on UA-cam yet
mara loves you child
Good video, but how does the East Empire Trading Company reproduce?
Wonderful & infinity interesting video!!! Thank you so much for broadening my understanding of the Elder Scrolls!
Very nice work mate. Keep em coming.
i watched the entire ad on your vid.just to show that i support your skyrim videos.
Im loving the dnd secrets, good work, keep it up!
cool, thanks for the background lore Rhexx, wish you talked about the spoilers and stuff though. it's been a while since I've played, maybe a follow up video?
lomhow1234 Skyrim is nearly six years old, spoiler alerts are not necessary
How about you investigate the reiklings for your next video? :D
Ecomnomics with Rhexx
rex tells us more about karstag or more of solthims secrets
The Dragonborn should help the Stormcloaks so that he/she can sell ebony to the newly formed Independent Kingdom of Skyrim.
A dog!?! No man it's more like an ant version of a chicken.
Redguards prove that the prowess of a warrior doesn't depend on the quality of their equipment
Ebony is volcanic rock that's why Morrowind has a large supply because of red mountain
i miss these videos when he just sits down and talks about Skyrim:(
Am I the only one that noticed the three birds colliding? 12:17
I love this kind of videos!
this made me wanna play skyrim again
Ebony is the blood of the gods. The heart or lorkan landed in what would become red mountain and the crash spread the ebony from the heart of lorkan all of morrowind.
Finally a skyrim video.
Economics 101 with rhexx
East India trading company= East Empire Trading Company.
I wish I had the money to support you on patreon but that and I'm not old enough bc I love your little podcasts 😂 there amazing for me to pass time on lol
oh yeah dood, more skyrim
I actually liked working for the East Empire Trading Company in Bloodmoon. I never sold my 100 shares of Raven Rock.
The levitation thing is stupid- people still do illegal things. Do people not murder because it is illegal?
But in Tamriel murder is legal as long as you pay a 500g fine
BoxStudioExecutive The point still stands.
I feel that the East Empire company is based on the real life East India company, who pretty much did the same thing what the East Empire company does, East India company had a monopoly over India which and was backed by the British empire.
OMG Thank you sooo Much for the Skyrim vid!!!!
Seems like Raven Rock is Solstheim's Detroit
How hard is it to say 'ebony'. It's not eeeebony, it's 'eh-bony'. Ebony. Come on, I'm not even English yet I know that.
holy shit this was new, i thought this was an old video
