Losing my father was one of the worst things that have ever happened to me. To have a voicemail of him telling me he missed me would make me happy and probably very sad at the same time. But I sure wish I had that voicemail. 🥺❤

The toughest thing with family is that often times they discourage you with their behavior, even though, from their perspective, it comes from a place of wanting to either help you or safeguard you from certain things. And the worst part is that it’s tough (near impossible) to tell them this, especially parents, because they will keep up their behavior subconsciously… that is if you can get your point across without them taking it the wrong way and getting offended in the first place…

Good afternoon Mr. Palminteri, Mr. Franzese. There's a book written by Bill O'relly & Martin Dugard highly recommend it to all of view,( viewers and both of you). the name of this book is "Killing the mob."in regards family, only God knows behind the walls and all the rest of us have to respect that privacy. in your case Mr.Franzese or Mr. Palminteri as public persons thinks like this will come sooner or later or time to time will come those type of questions. For me, I'm not better than anyone here but always try to behave with respect to anyone. May The good Lord be always with both and your lovely families.

Michael, I was very close to your father when we were in transit together in 2000, and once we both got to Milan. I was a very successful jailhouse lawyer, and Sonny spent hundreds of hours going over his case. He wouldn't accept the fact that I knew little about the old, pre-SRA laws. He was so funny. Anyway, I loved and respected your old man very much. We parted ways in 2003 when I was released. I was so happy to see that he lived another 17 years beyond that. God Bless you and your family. I know Sonny is smiling down on you and looking forward to being with you again someday.

Hi Michael! Why did you use the last name Grillo until you were 18/19 years old? Your mom got pregnant with you at 16. If your dad was Sonny he got an underage girl pregnant. Is that the trait of a stand up guy or man of honour? Also can you please speak truthfully about Ornge Tutt and Gerald Gutterman. Michael don’t have this comment blocked like you do when someone brings up the truth about you. Remember when you brought an agent wearing a wire to meet your “dad? Norby Walters spent a year in jail because of your testimony before he got out for that technicality that was brought up on appeal.

We all know Joey wouldn't have said anything while they were around and he definitely wouldn't have said anything to your fathers face. Wish he’d actually do a DNA test proving he’s Sonny’s biological kid, but that can’t happen. He’s the adopted son of Sonny. He’s a snake-oil salesman, but it makes him legal money. He did testify against Norby Walters & Lloyd Bloom. If not for the legal technicality, meaning the advice from lawyers nullified a crime, Walters was going to do time & Michael’s testimony was the publicly applauded by the courts, as a big help.

You guys are the best, both of you are an inspiration to me, Mike for how you turned your life around, I'm a recovering alcoholic of 14 years on April 5th and had to turn my entire life around so in my small life we have that in common, and Chazz is just brilliant in storytelling and of course "A Bronx Tale" is on my Mount Rushmore of best mob movies. I sincerely hope you keep this show going. God Bless!

It's a shame the reason this video had to be made. However, I'm glad to hear the information being told by Michael and not some guy that isn't worth a puddle of piss and talking $hit on a 103 year old true legend. Sonny was and always will be an icon in that lifestyle. Thank you both for another amazing story!

An icon in that life, but a scumbag serial killer to the rest of the world.

ON THE FLIP SIDE HIS DAD DID WHAT JOEY WAS TALKING ABOUT FOR 10 YEARS. OKAYED A CONTRACT ON HIS SON AND DIDNT TALK TO HIM FOR 10 YEARS AND THAN BROKE DOWN. ALSO THE FACT THAT MICHAEL COULDN'T GO TO HIS OWN DADS FUNERAL IN NY IS ANOTHER THING JOEY TALKS ABOUT WHEN YOU RAT YOUR NOT EVEN ABLE TO SET FOOT AT THE FUNERAL HOME IN YOUR OLD NEIGHBORHOOD? THAT'S A WILD LIFE TO LIVE AND VERY SAD.

@@nationalcarshippinginc645people aren’t understanding that this situation about Sonny was talked about at clubs. The guy did his time. Can’t take that away but like you said he broke down which I don’t judge him much for but I’ve heard more than a few people talk about his father that new him

I mean like he broke down by he was doing what Joey talked about basically disowned him for 10 years and okayed a hit on his own son, than eventually broke down and saw his son and started talking again @@billmason6976

@billmason6976 his father gave the ok to have I'm killed. If they wanted him dead, he would have been dead. Sonny did NO wrong!

That’s a good story about your dad changing his mind when Patrick and his film crew were ready to film him. You gotta love it ! 😊 At 100 years old he probably felt that he had nothing more to gain … idk but it’s a good story that reflects some of the twists that life throws at just about anyone.
