Hello Mark, I did not understand what happened in your comparison. At first it seems that the receivers are more or less equal, the differences are minimal. Then at a certain point, you did something about FLEX, and from that moment on, everything has changed. What happened? What did you do with Flex? Are the 3 software set all in the same way? Is the antenna the same on all receivers? Is there really any difference between the 3 receivers? It seems strange! What's your opinion? Thank you - Paolo
This video was really made for SDRZone.com, a website dedicated to SDRs. However, this test was very informal and just a teaser for the testing that will come over the next few weeks. More videos will follow at that time. In this video the Flex seemed the bast followed by the MB1 and then the Anan 8000 DEL.
Thank you Mark, now I remember reading your great postings and articles on SDR zones. I am happy that SDRzone has reopened. I have already created my new account. Yes, you're right, it looks like the best is FLEX. But I do not think it's a Hardware issue, I think it's the Software and the AGC's setting. I look forward to the other videos, and I suggest not to divide the screen into 4, otherwise it's hard to figure out what you're doing. Greetings - Paolo
The noise floor was almost 10DB lower on the Flex than the Anan and MB-1. You just brought the volume up on the Flex mid-video. Also, the Flex display was by far the fastest refresh. If the radio can pull off 25FPS or more, I'm a happy camper.
The Magnificent Elad FDM.DUO. 2 Independent Radios with 4 VFO each, same specs, excelent components with first class construction, excelent RX and TX, excelent Software ....and cost several thousand dollars less than the others... Your choice.. Thanks. YV5EMG
Would be nice if you told us which one is which or did I miss something?
