I have seen her live twice, taking chances world tour 2008 and courage in 2019. She is by far the best live vocal act I’ve ever seen and I grew up loving Whitney Houston as my favorite female vocalist.

You have a broader and then you have straight tone She chose to do that note on the power of love straight tone with vibrato. Most singing coaches will tell you you either stick with vibrato or go with straight tone You don't do a note with both. 😊

I know what you mean by robotic Adam, for me, her voice in the later years and albums doesn’t sound as natural as it used to, it sounds like it’s assisted in some way, to my ear it sounds like her voice is augmented with something electronic. It’s for this reason that I tend to stick to her earlier albums and avoid the modern ones as she just doesn’t sound right to me. I’m sure it’s an age related thing but she remains my favourite female vocalist ever.
That plus the super thick accent. Since English is not her native language, as she gets older, her accent got thicker and she is not able to pronounce the words clearly like how she was able to speak in her you get years.
