      I'll add it to my backlog. My quick comment is this: The view that estimating can quickly become wasteful is absolutely true. And it's something I've written about for probably 20 years as well. However, to say that estimates are always wasteful is ridiculous. My guideline is that I will happily estimate _if_ the estimates will lead to different behavior. That is, if having an estimate will lead to better decisions.
      If a team tells me something is low effort, I might choose to do that work but wouldn't if the estimate were much larger. The same with a project: if a team says a project will take, let's say, 6 months, I might decide against doing it.
      Estimating just so a boss can yell at a team when they exceed the estimate is what is wasteful.
