Thanks for that - took the pump out, cleaned the tray and also the pump ( was bunged up with old fluff ) cleaned the fluff that was stopping the float from rising and hitting the reed switch and we are all good. Now I also know how to change that pump should i need to in the future. Good clear video!
Hi Patrick, thanks for the post and glad the video helped and keep watching.
Have just received my new pump after watching your video I ordered straight away. Came within 4 days. It took me approx five minutes to remove and replace following your instructions. Brilliant thanks, no more screeching
Hi, thanks for your comment...it's great to hear that you have been able to quickly fix your tumble dryer with the help of our video!
My dryer has started screeching and was thinking it was the pump I might have a go and put new one in now you say yours was screeching
I don't have still problem on my dryer BEKO but your explanations are very interesting. Thanks a lot
Hi JeanMarck .Lefebvre, thank you for getting in touch with us and watching our video.
Hi does the bush condenser dryer use a similar pump or do you have to get a brand specific one
Hello, good morning, thanks for tour video!
Just a question, how the machine know when the top Reservoir( top) is full ? Have any micro switch inside reservoir? Thanks
Interesting video.
I have a beko dcu 7230 that keeps tripping my main electric board. Upon investigating and taking the panels off there was alot of water sat in the bottom & around the drainage hole. Although there is water getting into the pull out tray, I'm wondering if it's more the case the pump needs cleaning and some lint/ dirt is clogging the hole allowing the pump to take more water up??? What are your views? Would the process be the same??
The water pump in the Beko that there is in my place is not in that back compartment, neither the hose, the dryer keeps shutting down every few minutes until it fully shuts down, full water and clogged filter lights are on but water tank is empty and I cleaned the filter already.
a very good clean video. What happens if its not the pump though????

You say that the connections on the pump are not interchangeable and that you should not take photos. I don't understand if they are not interchangeable, that means you can't mix connections?
Clear video. I have this dryer with the same issue: no water in the tank. I first cleaned it. No luck. Then i watched if the pump was working (the little radar is spinning). Nevertheless i fitted a new pump but still the dryer stops a a certain point and no water in the tank. There is a bit of water in the area where the pump is but not even enough to get the floater lifted a bit. Any ideas before i throw it out of the window?
Hi Arthur, sorry for the late reply but hopefully we can help, the pump is activated by the float that sits in the base of the pump chamber and it can break stopping the float from rising activating the pump. Also check for a blockage stopping the water from going up to the tank.
@@eSpares Hi. Thanks for your answer. I managed to get it going again. After cleaning everything, every hose, every hole, i added water to the pomp to see if it was doing it's job, which it did. Still the program stopped at some point, no error, no sound. After some good old fashion banging on the front panel (fed up with bloody machine), it started working again! So i suspect some malfunction in the electrical part, not being able to continue the program. For now (the wife) is happy :)
Hi Arthur, thanks for your post and well done for your persistence. Glad to hear you fixed your appliance and saved yourself some money :)
I replaced the pump on my hotpoint ultima. It worked again for a couple of weeks and now it is failing to pump the water again. Any suggestions as to what the issue could be?
Hi, My Beko dryer is smelling like old/stale water after every cycle, any ideas why? Thanks
Hi Maxim, if it's a condenser dryer it may be collecting water in the pump chamber that may be causing the smell, the video shows how to access it on a Beko dryer and good luck.
I have a leaking dc7110 which doesn't have a pipe, is that normal for this model?
Hi Victoria, condenser tumble dryers do not have a pipe as it condenses the steam back into water and collects in a container to empty, you need to determine where it is leaking from and why.
Hi my beckon has stopped working with a water tank is full but it's not full
Hi Andrew, check the pump as if it is blocked it may send a signal to the electronics it is full.
I have same dryer in video its heating up clothes but not condensing even after running it for few hours any help would be grate.all filters and the condensing fins are clean
Salamunalaykum, Mine not collecting water in to tank and not enough heat too,did you find thr solution brother?
@TheNicsoner walekamslaam, i haven't found solution for it yet but looks like might be low on refrigeration gas.
It was heat pump compressor ,nearly £200 so its not worth fixing it
My Beko DCU 8230 Water Tank Full led comes on after 20 secs, Ive cleaned out the rear chamber where the float is, replaced the pump, checked the hoses for blockages, cleaned the condenser chamber at the front with a hose, removed all lint, cleaned the water bottle and its still coming on - anyone got any more things I can try before I condemn the thing to the local dump?
The tank full light is controlled by the float in the pump chamber rising and operating the micro-switch on the pump housing which then signals to the PCB to stop the pump and put the warning light on, so if the float is ok, and not sticking, it can only be the micro-switch ,the main PCB or the wiring from the switch to the PCB.
@@eSpares It was actually the metal sensors inside the drum - i wiped them and now its working again - thanks for replying.
@@reigaterobot4965 You're welcome!
Could you write the model name? Thanks.
We believe this dryer is a Beko DCU7230 model.
Hi my beko condenser dryer is leaking watter every use would this be a pump problem like the video shows thank you
Hi James, you will need to determine where the water is coming from to decide what has failed but the pump is one of the possible reasons for a leak.
@@eSpares what if the water is going at the bottom behind the filter on beko 7230
Hi Paul, you need to determine exactly where the water is coming from which means you will need to get access behind the filter.
@@eSpares how would i do that though, i can only reach with my hand from the front after taking the filter out and i can feel the water with my hand there. I don't want to spend money on a pump if its not that.
Hi Paul, take the top & side panels off to get access inside to find where the water is coming from, also test the pump with a multimeter to determine if it has failed.
