PBS Show - iNaturalist, Possum Kingdom & Green Jays

Urban Wildlife Biologist Sam Kieschnick uses the iNaturalist app every day to take pictures of nature. He’s a top user who’s contributed over 100,000 observations of flora, fauna and fungi to this growing online community. But anybody can use this app to identify plants and animals wherever they find them, and those observations also contribute to real scientific databases that help people like Sam preserve nature.

Today, the Catto-Gage Ranch supports a diversity of wildlife, plants and habitats that thrive alongside well-managed cattle herds, thanks to the family’s dedication to habitat restoration.
