As I left the theater tonight, two grown women in front of me said "we should have seen
'Finding Dory...'" And my love for Mystery Science Theater, my favorite show of all time, was never stronger. Absolutely magnificent reunion guys, thank you so so much.
DO NOT watch "Manos" without the Bots - Joel firewall. I think I sustained (more) brain damage. 'Found myself making smart-ass remarks out loud, 5-6 minutes into it. I guess it was a self preservation thing.

Regardless of the between times where the road wasn't as smooth as everybody loves who loves the show could wish, seeing them all get on a stage together promoting one another's projects with laughter makes my heart happy! I laughed throughout the video and loved a panel of riffers could even get through so many questions!
MST3000 will go down as one of the best comedy shows ever.

well yes Dr. Who would be great but I would like too see them do Arrow or Supernatural or even the Flash all great show's that MST3K or Rifftrax can do.
Frank Conniff was amazing: hugely funny (Joe Don Baker) but also deeply respectful of the show biz tradition (Cameron Mitchell).

I think the Manos episode achieved legendary status mostly because of Mike's brilliant portrayal of Torgo, which carried over as a recurring character

Like so many things anymore, this is both great, and somber. Loved the shows, but everybody is so old. God, it's now 20 years since the first resurrection on The SciFi Channel (1997!)

If I could be in any MST3k movie, I'd want to be in "Jack Frost", "The Sword and the Dragon", "Prince of Space", "The Brute Man", "The Incredible Melting Man", "Horrors at Party Beach", "The Mole People", "Hamlet", "Terror from the Year 5000", "Puma Man", and "Manos".
Kevin is the best Tom servo. I miss him a lot in the new show. Bring him back! I named a cat after Tom servo because he would sound exactly like Kevin if he talked.
If you haven't tried The Flop House, I strongly suggest episode #200 "Nothing But Trouble". If you've never heard of that movie, absolutely go watch it, then join The Flop House in trying to understand how that thing they just saw ever got made.

Thats so true about Manos. I introduced this couple to MST3K in 2008. First movie I showed them was Zombie Nightmare. They were laughing nonstop and loved it. Next one I showed them was Manos and they both fell asleep watching it. Maybe two chuckles out of them total.
Manos required harsher humour, as the live version w/Rifftrax proved.

Well classic Mst3k is now on Comet which is available in most areas as a over the air digital sub channel. Not quite the same but if you can get it, it may scratch that itch especially if you want to watch some cheesy films even unriffed ones the other day they played Troll 2 and Portiat in Terror

Just a bunch of nice people who deserve any and all success. Really impressed with how deep and serious Frank can be in answering questions. Been a fan for 35 years...MST3K was required viewing while I was in college, as a social event ("circulate those tapes"!); however, they invented a genre that will probably be taught in film schools in another 35 years! I feel the same as Kevin about "Mano...", LOL.

So much talent on that stage. Too bad so much separation occurred over the years. Especially with how amazing they were when working together. I don’t think the new show stuck the landing. In my opinion a lot of that is because the comedy and jokes are so restrained now and only going to get worse. There’s fewer and fewer and fewer things that are considered ok to joke about, even though it’s the opposite of the intended. Not being able to joke about everything and everyone is “othering”. Anyway, no matter what happens, even if all forces we able to combine and reunite for good, the magic of the old MST3K is locked in the past. Soon the old episodes will all be considered unacceptable and will either have to be disappeared or heavily edited into not funniness. It’s a shame because it’s all just comedy and younger generations cannot handle it.

Now that I'm older, I'm going to take a second listen to some of their quips. I'll bet I'll find more Simpson-Esque nerdy humor in there. Like the Simpsons mentioning the p np (polynomial not-polynomial) problem. I thought both the acting and the script were pretty good in San Francisco Internation but that didn't stop me from nearly shitting myself with laughter.
