In this video, JR will walk you through on how to deploy the Wheel strategy on Nifty using Nifty Bees. You will go through the following steps: brief introduction to Nifty Bees, strategy, how the wheel turns every week, example trade, the wheel diagram and key takeaways.
JR sir - certainly I can't resist myself to appreciate having seen several your lengthy videos...it certainly need a huge efforts and patience you have. It's not so easy make such a presentations. Please keep doing more such videos
Very well explained. Sir, we can execute this strategy with out buying nift bees right? If that is the case what is the point in buying nifty bees and executing the strategy? Can you please explain
You can initiate the strategy around Nifty strong support levels ... What you have asked is covered call strategy, in which you buy the underlying and sell higher call against it .. This is wheel strategy ...
Very nicely explained....Sir pls clear my one doubt....the moment we buy the NiftyBees & Sell OTM call & market in that week falls by 10% for any reason....we will be in a Massive loss of approx 85k....so how should we protect that loss.
buy a put everytime you sell a call, for example, if you sold a call with premium 150 rs, then buy a put of 50 rs. this will protect you from huge lose while giving you benifit of call premium
Presentation is precise and well articulated. It would be nice if you had included the brokerage commissions on buying and selling ETF positions.
Hello.. I have a doubt at the beginning of step one .. . Initially we don't have nifty bees with us so how can we sell a naked put directly because the losses are unlimited on the down side. What If there is a crash in Nifty and we lose significant capital in the beginning.? Please explain.
You use the oppurtunity to but the 4500 niftybees at lower cost
Sir, i have 2 doubts here. One is your step 1 to step 4 is 2 week process not one week so you will book 1% for every 2 weeks which will add to 26% max a year. Cause say if nifty goes 17500 in week 1 your returns in 3750 only which is 0.5%, similarly if it goes 17200, next week you will take ETF to book profit. So practically it is 26% per year.
2. Why should we risk keeping so close strike and play weekly and also give more brokerage. Why can't we sell 400 points away and sell monthly expiry and also use Futures instead of ETF along with monthly expiry CE sell. Premium will be 150 points a month from sell call and say 50 points we loose on future so we make 100 to 500 points a month on upside and downside we make 150 points a month. Capital required for this process is less than 1.5 lakhs so we can roughly make 4 to 12% a month with less brokerage and less capital.
People may say Future is something that expires unlike ETF but we can keep buying a new Future on every expiry day and just waste 50 points which is anyways compensated with CE sell call.
Let me know if my thought process makes sense.
Newbie in FnO... In theory it sounds good but not sure of its nitty gritty though... Idk Is it more risky or can u expect similar consistency as with ETF ? Basically 4 to 12% sounds to good to be true. Do you have any resource which explains this process in detail.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Practically speaking, when nifty bees is sold taxation is flat STCG 15% & squaring of futures attract heavy business turnover in taxation and net-net profitability is far lower under higher income bracket as also may require audit
In stocks, we want to invest and hold some stocks for the long term. Wheel strategy in stocks is something I can understand. But in case of niftybees, I dont understand its role. We can do this stop and reverse method even without niftybees coming in between. I mean if Nifty spot is 17,400, we can always sell 17,300 Weekly Put. Wait if it expires OTM or becomes ITM. If ITM, close it at loss. And sell a OTM Call. And keep doing this. The capital requirement won't be Rs 9L. So, what "value" is the niftybees adding in this strategy?
Naked selling?
@@sandeepk1880 In any case, the OWS strategy actually begins with naked Put selling ..
I think you mean to say to sell naked puts and naked calls, right? In volatile market it will not be useful.
Don't even think of this..you will be taking unlimited risk by selling naked call and put and return just small premium
your cash cant be sold at higher price like niftybees only niftybees will appreciate in value for compensating the loss you will get if your call turns ATM on expiry . so buying niftybees is important
Thanks for takin time and explaining in detail. I have query regarding negative scenario, On Friday morning sold strike with 75, after that market is falling continuously do we need to square off immediately as soon as option becomes ITM or wait till Thursday.
how about executing a short strangle in stead of wheel strategy, so that, we need not spare that much high capital ??
how does wheel strategy is beneficial compared to short strangle ??
secondly, how about choosing strike price as per one alpha ??
Strategy is good but what if after buying the etf and then after selling the call thereafter, Etf price doesnt increase in that case what to do ?
thanks so much JR, a saintly video, definitely this video gonna help many bread winners with a 10 lakh capital, even beginners can enter options with this strategy, lovely.
thank you for the great learning video.Pls clarify if Put gone ITM in sharp fall( beyond 100pts ) - we have to buy nifty bees and call sell when put closes say -25 pts (loss) irrespective of further fall. Second query: if nifty down more than what we get from call sell premium after bought bees& sold call.thanks.
If the market goes down more than your collected premium (17225 as per video example) you can close the PE and buy NIFTYBEES and then sell OTM call. If market continues to go down, you keep selling same calls every week. Premiums may be less. But that’s ok. Market will eventually recover.
Bhai iss strategy ko time karke karo toh sahi hai. Wait for fall of 10-15%. Basically this is bullish strategy.
If we play it weekly what roe can we expect . Roi is better with weekly or monthly
Excellent strategy well explained. Thanks so much sir. Please tell us when to start the wheel? Which day ? First day of expiry week?
As soon as the current week's trade is over, start the next week's trade immediately without any delay.
I have bought Nifty Bees and sold CE ATM and collected the premium. I have also bought Deep ITM PE. The Nifty goes down 500 points. ITM PE appreciates while Bees comes down in value and got profit from sold CE ATM. Please let me know when it is ideal for me to exit Deep ITM PE to encash the benefit and buy anoter Deep ITM PE.
You can do Half Yearly PE buy 3 qty to cover the downtrending markets, and move the PE to next 6 months expiry at the end of 3 months ...
Say In january you can buy June expiry PE within 20% of Nifty Spot and move to December expiry at the end of March ...
You have to buy a weekly call also (Cheap one to protect the 3 PEs) if there is a huge uptrend ..
I am testing this. Will let you know if I get positive results.
@@OptionswithJeetwill u share the process u took n how the trades helped u in details ji?
When to start this ? On Friday morning of new weekly series or end of the weekly series (thursday end of the day) ?
Also, is there a back test report of how much this will give return if implemented from last ten years ?
Thanks for excellent details ; Just want to know how the strategy perform if during the week fall in index is 600-700 points and sold Put can give heavy loss though we will be able to buy Niftybees at corresponding lower price ; Thanks
If you book loss in call or put option, how do you retain the premium? You will get only when it expires? Right?
Premium is credited to your account as soon as you sell an option
Only problem is...if nifty falls 800 points u will book a lot of loss on your Put. And then you buy the Niftybees at that level and you sell a call even 200 points above the current strike and market shoots up 800 points again. Your profit is limited and won't cover the loss you suffered by selling the Put and might take you few more weeks to cover that up. Just saying.
sold call at 75 and collected 3750 premium...what if after this nifty keeps going down down down free fall...there will be huge loss in Bees purchased and profit will be only 3750 from sold calls. So heding is not proper. Net loss will be huge if free fall in nifty
Pls go through this video, this will answer all your questions - ua-cam.com/video/YtMSx08_70U/v-deo.html
Hi Sir, Please Clarify below Questions:
Q1: IN STEP1, I sold PE --> If Market If market crashed then i will get huge loss right .. Please Confirm .. ?
Q2: On Expiry < whether we have to Exit the SELL Positional manually or we have to for broker to do automatically .. Please Confirm .. ?
Q1: that's why you need to keep the equivalent cash so that you can purchase Niftybee. Part of your cash will cover the loss other part will buy 4650 Niftybee.
Q2: Bhaiya agar strikes deep ITM ho gayi toh chodd do. Nahi toh zerodha Rs 50 leta hai auto square off ke.
Hi JR, beautifully explained. Thanks
Just one question, when I have niftybees with me for which I invested around 8.5 L and when I am selling call, do I require again extra margin money or they will consider niftybees itself as margin
they will consider your niftybees holding for margins. However, they may apply up to 25% hair cut, varies with brokers
Zerodha people don't permit .Very bad
They want full cash in trading account
I have many good stocks which have lot size but have to maintain cash
This is nonsense
@@SiddharthKumar-zu8ln in zerodha hair cut for niftybees is 92% , a very good level
@@kamalakshrao7230 means to sell options? here we are selling nifty strikes rt?
Clearly explained with good examples along with diagrams. Very well presented with positive and negative use case. I have not seen any better video than this. Keep posting such informative videos.
As we are selling just 1 strike away, so what if nifty expires 400 points above our sold strike ??......that would be more dangerous to us as loss will be very high.....we dont know at what point nifty will expire.....so how to manage it ??
If nifty keeps falling for prolonged period like presently? Any cover choice?
That is the only concern with this strategy, I guess. One thing that is viable is to keep collecting the call sell premium for all the weeks the nifty goes down. Money of niftybees 1 lot will be locked until it reaches it reaches the purchased price. However, it is safe to say that some day nifty will go beyond the purchased price, by that time we would have collected all the premium and can also reinvest in bees like SIP. There is one caveat though, if the index falls heavily for few weeks straight, selling call above our purchase price would not yield much premium. I don't know what to do then? Maybe we can lower the call strike price just above the spot price to gain more premium, which may lead to selling the niftybees lot at lower price than we purchased.
Can you pledge niftybees for covered call? Otherwise I'll need to keep extra margin, right?
Hi , This is again 2 different transactions. right? Niftybees is not mapped with the NIFTY PUT I sold. e.g. I sell 17900 PE at 100 and get prem credit of 5000. it expires ITM (nifty falls to 17900) and prem is 50. , i have cash to take nifty bees lot . Will it happen automatically?
What will happen to the Rs. 5000 credit?
2. Do i need to buy niftybees next day on friday placing an order? What wiill happen to the Rs. 5000 credit?
What if nifty falls more than 100 points suppose 1000 points at expiry then we have to book 50000 loss in put and buy nifty bees. Can u help me understand how to deal with that situation.
Has the half yearly video been uploaded?
i analyzed this strategy for different scenarios. Considering around 10 lakhs investment, the returns seems less than 1% per month. There could be scenario where you take PE sell and market goes down by 400 points in a week which is common nowadays, then you will incur loss of around 16000. Recovering this itself will take weeks. i am not getting how returns could be 40 - 45% per annum. Am i missing something here? could you please clarify?
I have given you the best scenario ... The reality we will never know ... You can time your entry using the bounce from moving averages .. That is not the subject of this video ... That's why I haven't talked about that .. To get the level of entry, you can refer to the PSCC (Protective Synthetic Covered Call) video in NiftyBN where I have talked at length about moving averages and level of entry.
The advantage is that you are getting niftybees at a cheaper price. You're missing the basic reason for doing a cash-secured put, that is to take delivery at a cheaper price, having the belief that it will eventually go up :-)
Booking profit in selling nifty bees we have to reduce loss in cash secured put as well as loss in call. So our profit will 9300 - 1250 - 1250
Exactly... You will get 1 to 1.5 percent monthly return most of the times....... So i m not sure how yearly 40-45 percent can be achived...
After taking 1 lot, we should short future, future will give profit and niftybees will give loss , whatever we get profit , We should buy Nifty bees
One clarification, if nifty falls drasticall 500 points a day or week, how can we manage the nifty bees which will be in huge loss.
we are only seeling calls againt Bees , put are sold only when you have hard cash in your account
Once we buy nifty bees at 17200 and market continues to go down lets say at 17000 how do we manage then ?
The call sell will give profits. The loss in the underlying is unrealized loss. Keep a SL for the underlying position and exit when SL is hit. This strategy is designed for neutral to mildly bullish markets (which is the state of market for 80% of the time).
How to tackle the trade when market keeps moving down after buying bees? Call premium may offset only a fraction of the loss in bees. Also if market gives a small false bounce, one will have to sell bees at loss too.
In a longer run, market moves up ... This strategy is designed for mildly bullish view. You can keep a fixed SL and exit in case of market turning bearish.
Agar 4650 stock buy karney k baad Nifty 500 point crack kar gia tu ?
Should we do it BN or nF
Can I go long in 1 lot nifty futures instead of buying 4650 units of nifty bees ?
instead of This can l long synthetic
Future and do Cover Call?
Yes
how to sell option for 30k? I think new margin rules are not considered ?
I never said 30k for option sell. I told it's 30k less than the stock options margin. See again bro ..
I just want to know suppose if I made a positional Iron fly on Thursday then on Monday morning (9:15 candle) If a freak trade happens at my positional strike price will I be affected ??
Hello Sir, very well explained the strategy... need some more info... if we will start selling PE of next week on current week Thursday and market falls more than 300-400 points on Friday then what to do? when we need to exit put and buy Bees?
please explain worst case scenario also, this will helpful for implementation..
The worst case scenario is after selling the put, the index cracks down heavily ... In that case, you can book the loss in PE and buy the niftybees at lower price, then start selling higher calls ...
What will be the magnitude of loss in that case?
Amazing! Very well explained. Thank you for creating this video.
I can understand that CE position is covered but the step 1 of PE is not covered so it may give huge losses. How to cover that?
PE sell in Step-1 is covered with cash to buy Niftybees below the PE sell strike.
Do we need to always wait till last minutes of expiry day to exit weekly ce/ pe position and sell next week ones or can be done mid week too?
Also should we allow system to square off / assign or manually do this..
Any system should be tweeked to fit your style better
@@NiftyBN thanks but what's the theory?.
Wait till last minutes of expiry?
If you wait till expiry day around 3PM, you will be paying back only the Intrinsic Value of the ITM Put. If you do it earlier, you will be paying for lot of time value also .. That's why I suggest to wait till expiry.
It can go either way. But the decision making is yours for closing the put earlier to cut loss, or wait till expiry just to pay intrinsic value of the Put.
Good Sir. Suppose sold cash-secured put PE meet 500 points loss then what we to do?
U hv the hedge it.
Selling PE overnight is THE MOST dangerous act, no matter how attractive is the return on other days. Just 1 or 2 black swan event can wipe out your account. Not the best strategy to trade. Offcourse, nice presentation as usual. Not a low risk strategy as mentioned on the thumbnail.
P&L are part of business. No strategy is fool-proof (or) always return profit.
If you want to know the Wheel returns, please go through this FY weekly returns from April 6th expiry upto last week expiry.
On a capital of 10 Lakhs, it has returned 92,000+ till now ...
What are the risks with wheel strategy sir? & How can we manage them?
The risk is mainly bear market ..
If you buy the Niftybees (put became ITM and you enter into NiftyBEEs), and market continues to go down and you can't sell CE for good premium (at/above niftybees purchase levels), then you are sitting with unrealized loss and unable to collect decent CE premium.
This can be mitigated by doing advanced wheel strategy. During the CE sell (with holding the underlying), you can buy 3 Nos of Long term PE within 10% of index level.
Example, if you have purchased Niftybees at 215 @ 19500 levels and sold 19600CE, you shall buy Dec 19350/400PE 3 qty. This will protect against market downfall, but returns will be very very less as during stagnant market / bull market, the PE will bleed heavily ..
@@OptionswithJeet ya true..
@@OptionswithJeet ya true..thank you for the reply
what will happen once we buy the nifty bees and it's going down continuously every week..... which call strike prices do we need sell?
Sell the call option always above your buying price of NiftyBees, in that scenario you will keep collecting the premium of that call option until it becomes ITM, however it could be less amount.
Can we do this with a Nifty Index fund? 🤔
Hi sir, if the situation prompt us to do STEP 1 for continuously one month again and again, then the profit is only about 12000 rs, but we are standby our money about 9.5 laks, the ROI is very low.....
I have given you the best scenario ... The reality we will never know ... FYI, the worst case is NIFTY goes down continuously till 0 ... What is the probability of that ? Even the market goes down by 50% from your level of entry, it will eventually recover. Example March 2020 crash and subsequent rally upto now. We are doing this in Index, not in a single stock. Crashing is worst case scenario ... For me, it is worth taking the risk on Nifty instead of stock.
Why are you missing the return you would get on Nifty Bees?
Yes , you are right,
Any way , many trainers collecting thousands of money to teach this kind of strategy, I really admire your effort to teach free this at free of cost. Thank you so much.
@@singwithjeet Thanks for sharing the strategy in detail. I have a query.
Ji, we are selling a naked PE with overnight risk (w/o hedge) and in today's scenario (geo political tensions) of frequent gap openings, is it advisable to do this weekly.? Also though the Bees are available at a cheaper price and if the market turns overall bearish for the current FY (since last 2 yrs we saw a good bull run) will it be worthy to do deploy this.?
Can we make combination with futures instead of etf or stock. isnt that be possible with less capital

Keep selling calls, if required, sell later dated calls like December or March of next year
@@NiftyBN thanks .. can we do same thing with nifty future instead of bank bees ??
While selling cash secured put, why sell 100 pts otm why not further out ?
Wider the strike, lesser the premium. Return % will be very less. Is it worth considering wider strike by doing multiple times trade to realise the profit of just 100 points away in niftybees that u hv to decide.

How the niftybees exercised ? means how my sold NIFTY PE is mapped to nifty bees not any other NIFTY stocks?
All Nifty options are cash settled. You won't get Niftybees assigned. Just leave the Put to expire ITM and buy Niftybees from the market with cash you have in the trading a/c.
Sir suppose i am in second step bought nifty bees after put is in the money lets say 17300 put i sold and now at 17200 next week i may sell 17400 as u suggested. One thing not considered is we can pledge nifty bees and sell 17400 ce and also 17600 ce. Odds of 17600 ce going in money is relatively low in weekly time frame. We can get extra return.
True. The risk is of the market shoots up and call becomes ITM then we need to unpledge the NIFTYBEES and then sell it.

the calculation are incorrect. u can't keep the premium as the 75 will become 105 if nifty goes to 17200. so u will have to give back 105x50 u can't keep it.
VERY nice Strategy
This is not practical if you have buy and sell the niftybees every time. Each time brokerage and other changes are nearly 2k for 4650 qty.
Good strategy explained well.
Instead of buying nifty bees I would prefer buying nifty weekly call option 300-400 points ITM. It will typically have no or negligible extrinsic value. And capital required only 15k-20k. Also will get margin benefit while selling covered call

what if mkt crashes or falls by 500 points ?
Nothing. If you are at first step while crash happening.. then u will exit CSP at loss and buy wtf on lower price. If you are at 3rd then collect call side premium every week till it become ITM.
But we when we book pe we are at 500-premium collected loss and we have bought niftybees at that lower level. But the call option that we are going to sell should be at the level where we originally sold the put to atleast come out breakeven isn't it?
Eg: now market at 17200 so we sell 17000pe at say 100₹
Market crash spot goes to 16500 so we are at 500-100=400 net loss
Now we have bought the niftybees at CMP (considering we will get so many nifty bee at that price)
Then when we are selling call option should it be 17000ce or 16600ce ? If we are selling 17000ce which is far otm we will get minimal profit only and if we are selling 16600/16700 then if nifty closes at 16800 then we close call option at loss and sell niftybees at profit but still the loss booked in put option earlier (which is about 400 pts) will not be recovered isn't it?
@@DrFoxD right sir.....strategy not works in big fall....
What if market crashes? If we sell 17300 Put and market crashes to 16500
