    The detail of the tail rounding the tree is so nice. It conveys intention and awareness of the environment into the Rex that really unifies it into the environment; making it feel a lot less like it was just "placed there."

    Yo I'd love to see someone with your talent make a HUGE diorama like this. Maybe make a forest similar to this, with a huge creek/river running through it. I'd be cool to see a herd of hadrosaurs being chased by a Tyrannosaurus or something like that.

    I like what you did with the ferns. Mine however will be removable so that my Beasts of the Mesozoic ceratopsian dinosaur action figures can eat them in my stop motion films for when I can build my diorama. The size of the redwoods you made also is close to the size of the largest of the ceratopsians (18 inches for the adult Triceratops and Torosaurus respectively, and 16 inches for Centrosaurus, Utahceratops, Pentaceratops, Pachyrhinosaurus and Sinoceratops), which I hope gives you a good idea of how big I'll need to make everything.

      @@Paepercuts I will. It's just a matter of deciding which biome to make; I'm trying to decide between a hardwood forest clearing with a small pond/stream, cypress swamp, redwood forest, fern prairie, or a lakeshore forest and oxbow lake (the lake I intend to make as a thin sheet of water with a hollow space I can reach underneath to animate the underwater life. The ideas for all of these I got from a book I own called "Saurian: A Field Guid to Hell Creek", which is a companion guide to the dinosaur video game Saurian and a scientifically accurate guide to the real dinosaurs that lived in South Dakota and Montana 66 million years ago.

    Question: After dusting the medium rocks with tile grout, you then blew off the excess with the airbrush before adding the scenery glue?

    • @Paepercuts
      @Paepercuts  4 роки тому +2

      Well i first tilted it over a tray to catch most of it, and the stubborn leftover grout i blew off. If you glue the grout on top of the small stones it looks like dried dirt, which is sometimes nice to use aswell! If you start blowing the amount of grout i used with the airbrush straight away than you're ready for a grout sandstorm! Thanks for watching, cheers.

      Wow i could probably talk with you for 3 hours on this, i also got back into the hobby after 25 years of work-eat-sleep! It depends what you want to make of course, but in terms of buying a good choice would be a dollar/euro/pound store and a craft/hardware store to get your bulk supplies. Just visit them and take your phone to take pictures or things you see and pricetags, so you can compare the prices later at home. If you need help you are always welcome here, have fun in the hobby!

    I would really love to do a dinosaur model one day there was this project in school about a food chain and we had to create a model out of like a card board box or something like that but our teacher said no dinosaurs but of course I didn’t really care so I did the dinosaur model but of course it didn’t work. So thanks to my dumbass brain I had no freakin project that I ACTUALLY wanted to do. So here’s a lesson kids (including me) LISTEN!! Plz.😀

    Het is mooi, maar... wat jammer dat je de bomen op z'n Hollands keurig als een hekwerk precies op dezelfde afstand van elkaar neerzet, net als de stenen die je zo onnatuurlijk verdeelt. Een wat spontanere en meer natuurlijke verdeling van je materiaal zal het geheel veel spannender maken. Gewoon laten vallen en op die plaats vastlijmen.... Bovendien is de kleurtoon heel erg hetzelfde in je hele stuk. Iets meer contrast vergroot ook het gevoel van spanning.
