Haha I love the joy in your family. I'm still laughing about the boys and their digging utensils 😂 I always wonder what it would be like to have more than just my 3 girls. Your videos are extremely encouraging. Thank you for sharing your day with us. ❤
You breaking your teapot brought to mind that through my younger years (I'm a great grandy now to 23!), I rarely broke anything. But it seems like every time I broke a cup or dish, I found out I was expecting again! Fun memory!
I always take a moment when I break one of my favorite coffee cups one of my kiddos had given me. I haven't tried that coffee but I love to support some businesses and family businesses are even better to support!!
Oh my, what a treat. Shepherds Crook is the best coffee. Thanks for always being a ray of sunshine. You have such a peaceful attitude toward your children, and it is such an encouragement.
My husband and i would love to try it.....We just started drinking coffee a couple of months ago Thank you Dawn C Southern Indiana I love your family and videos
Thank you for showing it all. So many times I find myself feeling bad, watching videos with seemingly perfect homeschool days. This is more of what our days look like.... Moments of learning, fun, testy kids 😅, messes, broken things, etc. And I only have 5, but we're in an apartment. Praying to get into a house someday! Sending prayers for a calm heart to you, mama 🥴😆🥰
Lol I like how you saw your boy had too much energy and convinced him to get it all out on the trampoline. I have a 9-year-old nephew with ADHD and he's not as easy to persuade. He wants to get the energy out his own way even if it involves destroying things or waking people up.
Oh my goodness how cute listening to Lydia drawing a nest and couldn’t remember what she wanted to say and listening to her say You Know, You Know, You Know 😂. I love what Bella did bringing in fresh pine needles and added to your tree and I bet it smells so good. I like the way you changed the room around. Also I watched your Thanksgiving and didn’t comment but it looked delicious. You’re right the younger ones need to be playing. They’re learning a lot off the older siblings.
@@jasonandjulie my youngest had a lot of ear infections and sadly had 3 sets of tubes. I couldn’t figure out why he was so quiet and we had him tested and he lost 50% or more of his hearing so he had speech therapy. After he got a bit older he began to talk and i couldn’t for the life of me understand anything he said 🤦🏼♀️. Talk about guilt?? My daughter who was exactly 5yrs older understood everything he said. So she was my translator 😅.
Thanks for your videos! Request: I know this would be extra work so I make this request cautiously . I am older and can not make out some of what is being said with very loud ( and wonderful) kids noise in some scenes. Could you add some printed words to some scenes ? I know , I know. You probably are NOT marketing to people like me in my 70s. I enjoy your family even when I do not know what you are saying. God bless.
Yes my living room always looks similar to that 😂 I do school with my 10, and 6 girls while my 3, and 1 ¹/² boys have fun doing all kinds of stuff. ( I also have 3 bigger kids and I am 10 weeks pregnant) ❤
Julie….I wonder why you’re tired? 😂😂😂 the children make me smile, each are so special. ❤️ Could you sometime in your free time 😇 make us a video on how you make your kombucha? Also wondering if you regularly use audio books with headphones with the little ones to give yourself a break? You are a master at going with the flow.❤️
Yes so true haha 😀❤️ I did make a kombucha video a few years ago… I don’t currently do the second ferment but everything else is the same. If you search kreke kombucha it should come up. Yes to the audiobooks with headphones! So helpful some days
I love❤your videos. Oh yummy 😋 coffee. Yeah usually I have to be careful how much coffee I have, same issue. That's interesting that it tastes good but also not affect you that way. Keep up the great work 💪 here
Absolutely LOVE Shepherd’s Crook coffee!! We tried it because of your channel for I took have a hard time drinking coffee, but Shepherd’s Crook is wonderful and no negative reactions!! 🥰🙌🏻. Espresso Blend is currently our favorite but I’d love to try the Fireside!!! 🥳🥳
I think it’s an adding machine 🤔 I’m very impressed how you make due in your little house with all the children and I really like your new furniture arrangement. Would love to try this coffee! ☕️😊
I just got my latest shipment from Sheperd's Crook. Thank you so much for introducing me to them. I'm currently drinking the Guatemala roast but I also really like the Peru one too.
I used to get the tea there also but they haven’t had it at my Walmart for the last few months. Hopefully it returns! The coffee is only available in whole beans. You can actually grind it in a blender or food processor if you don’t have a coffee grinder.
I bought 2 different bags and loved the coffee so much. We bought homestead and the Shepherds Blend! I’m adding my name incase we’re chosen to be blessed with a free bag of coffee! Everyone that haven’t bought any it’s delicious! Julie is definitely 💯 correct about the coffee. They ship quickly also!😊 Fireside sounds delicious I just looked it up. Also for those who haven’t bought any they also have half decaf, latte and Cold Brew!
Hi Debbie! You are the name selected to win the bag of Shepherds Crook Coffee! Please send me an email at jkreke@gmail.com and I’ll get you connected with Greg and Laura
Do you like the furniture arrangement? Funnily enough, my small house is bigger than yours, but we can’t really rearrange much, sadly! * I commented before that part of the video 😂
I’m sorry if I’ve missed this somehow, but are you using language arts and math from the good and the beautiful for most of your children? How do you like it? I’m trying to decide if I’m going to continue piecing things together for all of my children or go ahead with tgtb. Trying to figure out how long lessons would take with each child.
Half of my children are using it, the others simply do copywork daily. We have enjoyed the curriculum! The lessons aren’t too long but you don’t have to complete a whole lesson a day. One of my kids just does a pages per day, and doesn’t worry about where the lessons start and stop. I always do what’s best for us, no matter what the curriculum suggests ☺️
What do you do with James? Specific curriculum? I have a five, almost six yr old girl and we've been doing aar and Saxon but lately she's been really defiant and not wanting to do any work.
my little ones go through seasons of wanting to “do schoolwork” with me and sometimes not. At five years old my biggest goal is that learning would be associated with good feelings. I want my kids to develop a love for learning, so if they get burned out at a young age it probably means we are doing too much! I would take a couple months off just to play, read them engaging stories, and include them in the many things that a mom does each day to care for her family and home. They can learn so much this way! I have found with my kids that the big leaps in learning usually happen when they’re older. I had one child who wasn’t reading at all at six, but as a teenager you would never know the difference. Sometimes I think we put too much weight on the young years. With that being said, James and I spend about 30 minutes of one on one learning time together a day. It doesn’t always look the same, I try to follow his current interests. For a while he was really excited about his math program from the good and the beautiful and wanted to do that all the time. Currently he seemed to need a break from it so we said it aside for a time. his current obsession is writing in his handwriting book, so for the last couple of months that has mostly been what he has done for his sit down school time. We have also been spending about 10 minutes a day practicing in his reading book. I’ve been keeping it to around 10 minutes because I can tell it’s not his passion right now. When he reaches a place where he is showing signs of great interest/motivation in that area I will increase the amount of time we spend each day. I found that kids will get obsessed with mastering a certain subject and then lose interest for a while. For example, over the summer James kept asking me to print out worksheets with adding problems. He would do them for an hour or two a day by his own leading. And one day he never wanted to do one again. Lol. But guess what? He is excellent at adding and I think he realized that he just didn’t need to practice that skill anymore. Kids are so intuitive. I really love watching their learning process!
That old metal box looks like the remains of an old fashioned adding machine.
Awe Silas is really growing up these days… always has a great smile… Wonderful family ❤️
He’s such a great kid!
Finding the metal thing in the woods was so interesting! Love your videos. God bless you guy ❤
Thank you for watching! 🥰
Julie you are amazing, the calm in the storm 😊 blessings to all 🙏🙏

That’s so hard! My boys do well with outside time. Especially if they’re moving their bodies
Adding machine. Amish still use these where i live in their stores.
Wow neat!!

Where do those narrow stairs lead to ? I bet it would be very difficult to get up them if you’re bigger.

it's an adding machine - how funny - bec. I am 81 and used this type of monster 65 years ago at my first Office Job.

I get green tea bags from Walmart that has a panda on the box. Can we get already ground coffee or is it all beans?
I used to get the tea there also but they haven’t had it at my Walmart for the last few months. Hopefully it returns!
The coffee is only available in whole beans. You can actually grind it in a blender or food processor if you don’t have a coffee grinder.
Looks like an old adding machine. As you punch in the numbers, then pull the lever forward, they would be recorded on the tape.
It seems like that is the general consensus… which then makes you wonder what it is doing in the woods?! 😆
Yay I’d love to try the coffee
Would love to try Shepherds Crook coffee.
Wait a minute!! Is that baby Everett I see walking??? ❤ hugs from Michigan!!!
