So many great books here! I definitely recommend getting all 8 volumes of Orbital. Outlaws is the spin-off from that. If you want to go slowly buy at least two volumes at a time as each story arc(or mission as they call it) is two albums long. Although each story arc is separate there is a much larger story growing in the background - like a true space opera.
Bonhommes' Lucky Lukes were a labor of love. In every panel it's clear he knows the original source in depth. Bonhomme albums work as stand alone but if you get to know Morris' Lucky Luke more there's an extra layer that you can enjoy.
Nottingham is on my shopping list.

Hi there! UA-cam randomly suggested your video, and for once it was actually on point. My name's Jerome, and I work for Cinebook - in fact, I translated each of the comics you presented (so if you found any problems with the translations, you know who to blame, now ...!)
Just thought I'd provide a little extra info while I'm here. As the colonel pointed in another comment, Outlaws is a spinoff of Orbital. That series has 8 books so far, with four story arcs of two books each; it shows the other side of the Confederation - not the slums and the criminals, but the higher spheres of power and galacto-political arena, with the main character being Kristina's brother Caleb. It's one of my favourites, personally - excellent, smart sci-fi with solid world building, and plenty of action. There's a ninth volume being written at the moment. As for Outlaws, I'm currently translating the second volume, so it'll be out in a few months at most. :)
Regarding Lucky Luke, the two volumes you picked up were special 'homage' volumes by Matthieu Bonhomme. There was only supposed to be one, but everyone loved it so much he made another. There's no word on a third one yet, but never say never ...
Thanks for the kind words about our books, and I hope you keep enjoying them!
(Oh, I'll take a chance and point you towards a two-parter we brought out last year - "Highlands". Figured you might want to check it out, what with the channel's name and all!)

Hey, Thanks for reaching out and sorry for taking so long to reply, I'm glad you enjoyed my video and didn't find it to be just spam being suggested by UA-cam.
Cant say I found any particular issues with your translations so well done, I will let you know if I do in future now that I know where to find you, haha.
I will definitely check out Orbital, sounds great and I hope MB does come back to LL at some point, his fresh take on the character is great.
I have read Highlands and found it okay but not the most exciting read. I think I enjoy the less historical books more as they have more realtime progression and less info dumping.

@@HighlandG Mileage may vary, to each their own, different strokes, etc ... and as we say in French, "no point arguing about tastes and colours". :) I absolutely love a good period book, but I'm a history nerd, so ...
Enjoy Orbital when you get to it - and if Bonhomme returns to Lucky Luke, rest assured we'll be publishing it ASAP!

Jerome, I'm jumping in here to ask if there's any plans of translating Manu Larcenets' Valerian? I'm thinking his style&take might be a harder decision to make than with Lupano/Lauffray-style(which I wish will get more original long stories).

      @@analogcomics Hi there,
No plans on Manu Larcenet's "Armour of the Jakolass" for now, no, sorry. The style is indeed likely to be a harder sell for English-speaking Valerian fans. Personally, I'd love to see it happen, but it's not in the books for now, sorry.

@@jeromesaincantin27 I don't know how the gears grind behind the scenes in comics publishing but I have this(maybe naive) hope that Larcenet's The Road will be a success in USA/UK and then readers would want more content from him in English. A Trojan Horse-theory.
I got the Jakolass in German but will upgrade if Cinebook version comes out. Waiting for the HC Collected Blake&Mortimers too😍
      Cheers🤘

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll be looking for these. Did you know that Outlaws is a new sequel series to the previous Orbital? There are 8 albums in that series. I haven't read it yet, but I've been meaning to - it's supposed to be very good.

No problem. And NO I DID NOT KNOW THAT! I guess I have some books to go find.
