Japanese bands are a proof that the reason Kpop bands are so popular because of their looks more than actual talent. Not hating on kpop or their fans, it's their choice at the end of the day, but it's the truth. There are a lot of more talented Japanese bands than most of the kpop "bands" but they're only popular in Japan rather globally because kpop fans.. well.. MOST of them are there for the looks even if they lack the talent SOMETIMES
Even BTS said that they are a completely different kind of genre than other bands cause they use dancing as instead of playing instruments. Remember micheal jackson back in the days? Yeah, he became the king of pop by doing this exact same thing so its still working nowadays. People want to see the flashy stuffs in music videos and even live. Heck most people consider rock as a noise not music so no one really gives a damn. Finally, in my opinion both are actually really talented. I listen to kpop and jpop both.

Japanese bands are a proof that the reason Kpop bands are so popular because of their looks more than actual talent.
Not hating on kpop or their fans, it's their choice at the end of the day, but it's the truth.
There are a lot of more talented Japanese bands than most of the kpop "bands" but they're only popular in Japan rather globally because kpop fans.. well.. MOST of them are there for the looks even if they lack the talent SOMETIMES

Even BTS said that they are a completely different kind of genre than other bands cause they use dancing as instead of playing instruments. Remember micheal jackson back in the days? Yeah, he became the king of pop by doing this exact same thing so its still working nowadays. People want to see the flashy stuffs in music videos and even live. Heck most people consider rock as a noise not music so no one really gives a damn. Finally, in my opinion both are actually really talented. I listen to kpop and jpop both.
