I picked this up in March off Mandarake for about $150 Australian dollars sealed, shipping was around $60 Australian dollars but it was honestly worth picking up because I love the thing so much.

@@hamboi6593 i picked up the takara deluxe misfire off ebay for 200, shipping was 40. I love this guy way more than his hasbro counter part that has the pastel pink
it amazes me how far we have gotten with bayverse movie figures, like legit i feel old looking at the figure, i was in second grade when the first bayverse Transformers came out so again just amazing to see
Same. It's amazing how they went from being very clunky and difficult to produce to being very accurate at times to the source material

I have the Ramjet repaint of this mold from the RotF line. It came with a holographic collector card with a bio on the back, which was pretty cool. It's a fun mold to play with.

One of my favorite Bayformer mold ever. Appart the annoying missiles, this thing have no flaw and I love customising original Transformers just by replacing the arms and legs. I bought this HD-DVD version many years ago from Mandarake for 8K yen plus shipping. At the time, it was a great deal compared to eBay. Even today, he stand proudly in my Starscream display.
I literally bought this off marketplace in Texas for 30 bucks never been played with.

I’ve never really liked the dorito Starscream design, to be honest. For some reason though, I love all the repaints of this particular mold. I don’t know why it works for me, but this, Skywarp, and Ramjet all look sick
Thundercracker looks pretty sick, too...and I honestly don't like the 2007 Movie Starscream mold.

If Studio Series continue to follow the nest Bumblebee formula this would be a great node for it's updated counter part. Weird but cool

Managed to snag a Skywarp variant of this mold. Missing rockets and tailfins but I'm not complaining for 11$.

My rarest figure is a legends class ROTF starscream. Barely anyone has it apparently and mine is the legit version, so that's cool.

Dvd players weren't that expensive, man. Otherwise they wouldn't be that ubiquitous.
It was a dvd recorder so it had both a burner and player in it. They used to be quite expensive especially overseas
You must have been a very young child when DVD appeared so you can't remember. At the time, DVD players were so expensive, many opted to pay 100$ more to have a PS2 instead. That way, they could game and watch the revolutionary new format. The fact that the PS2 had a DVD player built in is one of the main reasons DVD won the format war of the time and PS2 won the console war of that generation and became one of the most successful console of all times.

I really want this and that clear protoform Optimus Prime but they are way too expensive to buy. I check Buyee every now and again but I never really find anything.
I really want a 2007 Starscream and I came across the Ramjet repaint buy missing a bunch of parts since it was at a swapmeet but I did end up getting an original Transmetal 2 Dinobot

This genuinely is such a cool deco. Would be nice if it had more paint, but still. Bayformers decepticons are normally so dull and lifeless in their colouration, they'd look so much cooler if they had actual colour like this

Tl;dw This figure came with an expensive HD DVD player that cost around 900$. So this Starscream isn’t worth 900$, but you would have to spend this amount of money to get it. The figure itself isn’t worth that much, can be obtained for about 60-70$ sealed.

I literally say that in the video. In the video I state you have to spend 900 on a dvd player to get it and at the end I state it's not worth that much. Stating the toy cost 900 is correct because you had to spend that much back in the day in order to get it, there was no other way. Perhaps watching the video before commenting is a better idea

Could you watch the video first before you make a judgement on ANYTHING? Boi he says it in the video and to be fair to write that would take a good bit of time roughly about how long it'd take to even watch what you're trying to talk about. He brings up that the MSRP is $900 and that its not what he paid for it but the MSRP for the product still makes it his most expensive even if it's not what he paid.

I've watched the video fully and two times more, and IMO I wouldn't call it the most expensive retail Transformer, as it is a part of package with something much more valuable, a mere add-on to the main attraction, HD DVD writer in this case. In the same fashion I would not call a random Transformer packaged with, for example, iPhone 13 Pro the most expensive toy ever.
Yes, you have to spend 900 to get that toy, but then if you don't need the player, you can sell it and get the large majority of your money back. Though I admit my too snarky for my stupid nitpick.
