Your crib looks amazing all done up with your dolls in it! My non Barbie dolls were a My Child and Rainbow Brite, and of course a (hand sewn) Cabbage Patch doll. I’m an 80’s child 🙂.
My Favorite was Mrs Beasley unfortunately I had to sell her during rough times hopefully come across another one some day. Love your Collection and You!
I love the baby bed!! I wonder how many real babies slept in it? I have two buggies and a baby basket full of my bigger baby dolls. Dolls have managed take over the house😁
I was a child in the 50s before Barbie's. I had lots of dolls but my two favorite dolls were mama dolls with hard plastic heads, cloth bodies and arms and legs of what they called magic skin that turned dark and split over time. I named my dolls Nancy and Kathy but what they were named or the maker is a mystery to me.
OH gosh those are adorable. I have one with skin like that. If you squeeze it , it makes a sound. Not sure if I have one that says mama. I bet your dolls are beautiful. wish I could see what you have.
Mama dolls have a crier in their cloth body and make a sound like "mama" when the turn them over. Not many of those old cryers work anymore.😢 The childhood dolls I still have are Saucy Walker, Raving beauty and a Horseman Cindy bride doll.
Love how you have your babies in the baby bed looks amazing my first baby doll I can remember was Tippy Tumbles by Remco 1968 I was about four carried that doll everywhere we were almost the same size so she was my sister the only baby doll I have now is my baby brother tender love (anatomically correct) with his box
The room looks great! I have a Chrissy doll too. She’s missing one of her orange shoes though. When I was a kid I had Velvet and my sister had Chrissy. I also had Baby Alive.
YAY!💖 That crib is beautiful. The little one is so charmingly sweet. You really have to give it up tp Mattel. Baby Secret is soooo cute, no batteries and the mouth moves! What a wonder that doll was back in the day and extra sweet that you had her as a girl! I have many of the Mattel dolls from the 60's pull string talkers and battery powered, Randi Reader, Baby First Step ,Dancerina, Swingy the list goes one. I do have an interesting Canadian version Tippie Toes with sleep eyes. BTW, my dog had a Chatty Cathy head in his mouth this morning lol and for the life of me I haven't seen it before? Is it yours Sue?😁 I have a number of Chatty Cathys and they all have their heads😀 I admit I'm addicted too! I really enjoyed this video my dear Thankyou! 💖💖💖
The first doll I ever remember having was a Susie Smart, I was probably around 2. Been addicted ever since. That is so funny, your dog LOL. I can imagine how shocked you looked. Do any of your mechanical dolls still work?
@@BarbieLove LOL.😀 they do work Sue. I could probably get your Tippie Toes to work. I know your busy with so many dolls but here is a few tips: obviously new batteries first. If that doesn't work check battery contacts for corrosion. If corroded gently scrape them , I use an old butter knife. Still no love, turn the doll on and give it a good whack on its back. These dolls have gears that inside that were greased at the factory often they are dried up and need a little help. If all this doesn't work turn the doll upside-down , power on and give it a good shake. My 3 Tippie Toes all work now, none of them did when I bought them including my mib one😊 These tricks have worked on almost all of mine. Good luck!💟
