  • Full disclosure. I bought this. The seller sent an extra for me to use and give away on the channel :)
I’ll do a more formal review later when I have time.

Interesting indeed. I can see two things wrong with it though, in this iteration (which, I suppose is a prototype?) - first of all you don't print handles like this. It would easily break. In fact, handles are usually an example on how not to align layers, for that reason. Easy fix though.
The second problem might be bigger. How do you keep paint from getting into the gears and thus blocking them at some point sooner or later? Sure, having your finger on the one in the middle might work, but what about the others? And spray paint gets everywhere, while working. There's no way to "just take good aim" or something. I wouldn't want to have to mask them every time.

@@Vortagh I’m not worried about the structural integrity, I’d be more worried about the gears but we’ll see how that actually pans out. Given a lot of the air brushing I do from the top angles I don’t think it’ll actually get access to the internal mechanisms easily.
I’m going into this optimistic though as it is a new take on a paint handle and k appreciate the approach to innovation. We’ll see!

@@Thearmedpainter I'm very worried about structural integrity, because it is also a very very thin stem at one point and I have had my share of breakages with my prints over the years. I think adding a steel rod would be a good idea.
About the gears, if it's mostly from the top, maybe some sort of "thumb dome" that slightly over extends over the gears, might be enough.
