Man I would love to see them interview the Build-A-Bear near me. Me and my partner went to one (I was buying their Christmas gift) and they decided on a Hello Kitty, but desperately wanted to put it in the suit a frog was wearing (we couldn't find another). We had to ask if we could take it off, and she said yes. So we stripped the frog in front of her and threw it in the Hello Kitty. As we were finishing and paying, the cashier asks what my partner was naming it. They look at me, look at the cashier, and just says "Anarchist." From the frog to that, she just started laughing so hard. Oh, and my partner also put the snoring sound meme into the paw, just as a chery on top.
Kids are so sweet sometimes. I worked as a teacher in a primary school when I lived abroad. I taught English (as a foreign language) and Maths. On my last day the kids told me they wanted to give me something. They gave me a box with chocolate, photos of each of them saying something nice and a card that said we love you forever. I kid you not I started crying then and there and two of them came up to me and hugged me telling me not to be sad. I told them I wasn't sad, I was just crying because I was so happy. Then one of them said "you know, I never liked Maths but your lessons were always really fun" This is why I am a teacher. Not for the presents but for kids to say that they learned to love my subject. 3 years ago and I remember it clear as day
Aww.... my son used to be like this. When he was 3 he would always invite random people over to play. Like people in line at the grocery store. He was so cute. Hes 24 now. Hes still the nicest person But I would sell my soul for my kids to be little again and get to live those years all over again. Cherish every moment. They grow up so fast. Its cliche but true.
I had a dad pay in cash and his four year old daughter asked if she could keep the change. He goes “what do you need the change for?” She holds out her hand and deadpans, “my taxes.”
Kids are very pure hearted. I work as a preschool teacher and at this point I have lost point of the amount of times that a toddler has invited me to their house, birthday party, vacation, etc. A couple weeks ago I had a kid tell me he was moving to Hawaii after the semester ends. I gasp and say “Oh, I’ll miss you so much!” and he says “Well you can come with me if you want.” After I say that I can’t, this four year old says that he’ll give me his phone number so that I could call him!
Love kids... I worked for a big retailer and always focused on kids when I checked them out. One little girls was buying a DVD and she wanted me to come over and watch it. I said the same thing this women did and said I had to work ... But she would not let it go she wanted to know when my brake and day off where lol

When I was a lifeguard at this indoor waterpark, I was warned by my coworkers when trading posts that there was this "annoying girl trying to make tiktoks with us". (I was 18, she must've been like 14). So she comes up to me like clockwork and says "OMG WILL YOU MAKE A TIKTOK WITH ME IT'S MY BIRTHDAY?!" And I was like "You know what? Sure." Still super awkward, but her and her group of friends freaked out and were like "You're the only one who was nice to us!!!". She asked me when my break was and I told them I'd go swimming with them on lunch. She then asked if I was going to eat and I told her no I didn't have time but that was okay, so she called her mom and asked her to bring me a 3 pack of taco bell tacos and leave them at the front desk 🥲 I found them on my next break with a note from her mom that said "Thanks for taking time out of your day to celebrate, *girl's name* said you were very kind." Literally one of the sweetest moments I've ever had.
I work at a grocery store. We don’t have stickers for kids in the register drawers, but we have “thanks for coming!” stickers. They’re kind of ugly and utilitarian, for larger items to show they’ve paid. I always offer tiny kids these dumb shit stickers and they always light up. I love it.
The build a bear near me, I was getting a matching frog with my best friend. We're both 21. They still kept the magic of it for us, since we told them we've never been as kids (poor™) it was wonderful
Once I was out eating with my roommates, a little girl came out of nowhere, sat down with us, and invited us to her birthday. She was so sweet and decided to eat at our booth with us, her parents even bought us a dessert as a thank you for “babysitting”
Ok I have to shoutout the build a bear worker in a Walmart in Riverside!! The one next to (John’s incredible pizza). Well I go in for my daughters birthday bear. And I wanted to put in those voice things to record myself singing a song to my daughter. I was in tears trying to sing “La vie en rose.” My daughters middle name is rose so i made that her song. While im singing im in tears. I have stage 4 breast cancer and im only 25 and my daughter is 2. Got diagnosed last year. My worst fear is having the cancer win and me being taken away from my baby girl. And her forgetting me. So I recorded my voice so she at least could still hear my voice if im gone. It was the most gut wrenching thing I had to do but I did it. The worker there was so touched by my story that he allowed me to do another voice for free and in that one I recorded myself saying goodnight to her and that mommy loves her so so much. And to have good dreams. So im in tears apologizing and the amazing worker says no worries and asks if we were buying the best any outfits. Since we’re pretty broke half the time I said no just the free bear and the voice please. So he threw in a whole fairy outfit for my girls bear for free. Then he said the whole best was free. I didn’t pay a dime for my girls bear. I’ll never forget this experience and I’ll never not believe that there’s no food left in this world because there always will be. And thanks to that worker my daughter will have my voice if something happens to me.
My sister had a work experience like that. There was this little girl that would follow her around Chucky Cheese while she was cleaning. She would call her Elsa because of my sister’s white hair. It was the sweetest thing every and the parents wouldn’t stop laughing
My ALL TIME favorite moment so far while working with kids (working with them for about 4 years now, ages 0-21) and there was one time a 3 year old patient came up to me after her appointment (I was the one who took her vitals and put her in the room) and kissed my cheek without me knowing she was going to! UGH! my heart melted! I gave her a big hug and her mom laughed 😂😂 they are literally one of my favorite families to see
The first time I had a (child) student in my art class ask to get a picture with me after class, and the mom told me how her daughter was asking how she can be like me when she grows up. Had more like it since, but that first little girl who looked up to me was *chefs kiss* my favorite beautiful moment. And I still have her picture in my phone to remind me why I love my job on those days I just can't even.
I’ve never actually been to any build-a-bear but when I was younger I really wanted one. But I went to something similar at great wolf lodge when you get a wolf instead, either way, build-a-bear seems like a blast.
I went to build a bear with my boyfriend about 2 weeks ago and he got me a frog, and when we got up to the stuffing station the man looks at us and in a very monotone voice goes “so is this a joint custody situation or what’s going on here” and me and my boyfriend still quote that all the time. He was one of the types of people that was incredibly monotone and sounded uninterested but obviously loved his job.
I once had really bad chest problems, and had to go to hospital about once a year. It was my birthday soon when we got there, and I said the exact same thing to my nurse
Two days ago, I was walking down the street and passed this cute little kid with glasses and his dad riding bicycles. He looked at me joyfully and said "hi !". It made my day.
I was definitely someone worst work story at Build-A-Bear. I was like eight, and I had been collecting coins from the laundry for months. I saved up about $50 dollars in coins and dumped them all on the counter, I still remember the very annoyed look I got from the cashier. And being a cashier now I completely understand. But my mom told me that that would be the only way I could get a teddy bear from Build-A-Bear since she couldnt afford to buy me one.
Once I had to buy a sub sandwich in coins because it was the only money I had, and they were annoyed with me. That was for food and was way less than $50. That was their problem. If I were the cashier for a kid having saved up for something less crucial to survival than food and was way more money, like you did, I would very happily and proudly count it all out for you. There's nothing wrong or shameful for using legal tender to buy things. A bad attitude is a reflection of the person who has it.
I just recently went to build-a-bear with my partner.(we are both autistic) and my parter wanted us to have frogs and I named mine frogbert because i’ve always dreamed of having a frog with the name frogbert. And they named their frog frogbertha. And the lady at the register got the birth certificates and she said to us “these are the funniest and best unique names ever I love them” and she gave our stuff for free basically it was amazing and I was so happy. Because I didn’t even notice until I got home and my mum said you got your stuff for free. I was shocked but it made sense for why she told me to get a little ornament but I didn’t get it and I wish I did :(
Build-a-bear workers are seriously the best! We took my special needs sister there for her birthday and the workers were so sweet and so attentive to her.
My sister used to want to work at build-a-bear when she was about 6. She wanted to be a fluff maker because she thought that there was actually someone making/churning the fluff😂😂
Omg. 100% agree. I have similar conversations with my students at the dojang. (I’m a Martial Arts Instructor for ages 3 and up). None have invited me to their party (I hosted one today tho lol. One lil girl was very happy tht I was there when it was her brothers birthday).
A grown man got verbally upset with my coworker and I accusing us of stealing his crickets…after several back and fourths I finally just said “sir I have a colony of roaches at home…I don’t need 2 crickets.” And fighting crazy with crazy worked that day.
Bruh, I literally have a story like that: So I’m twelve and in sixth grade. And our elementary school does sixth grade. For some reason, all the kindergarteners LOVED me. Like every time I walked into the room they would scream my name. But they wouldn’t pronounce the R in my name. My name is Avery. But they pronounced it like “Avey” or “Avweee” So anyways, there was this sweet little girl who I thought was really annoying because she would always come up to me and hug me. (I don’t like physical touch) On a complete random time she asked “Wanna come to my birthday party?” And I’m like “Oh, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it. But I wish I could.” Bro, she believed the lies and actually thought I wanted to come but couldn’t. She felt bad that I “couldn’t come” so literally the next week she brought me a goodie bag from her party and it had the most random things in there. (A weird curly straw, a little donut plushy and some bubbles) But it was cute and my mom thought it was trash and threw it away. (DON’T WORRY! I USED THE BUBBLES BEFORE SHE THREW IT AWAY!)
When i went in a camper van with my family in 2020 i was sitting bored in a playground full of kids (even tho i was a teen lol) this little girl came up to me and told me all about her birthday party and said i should be invited. I quietly sat and listened to her. Then her parents came out and started yelling at me for playing and talking with her. They then warned the girl about “stranger danger” and left Very sad :(
i went to build-a-bear and got a stuffed panda i named valentine. i barely remember any of it but i do remember when they put the heart in. i thought they were giving her life. sadly she is sitting collecting dust and has a batman mask on lol
I’m a cashier at a theme park and my faveriote moment was I was talking to a little boy and we were talking about his faveriote rides and how much fun he was having and then j got called the best cashier ever
So for my 16th birthday party I went to bab so far so good. After stuffing my bear I stepped forward to get it and accidentally stepped on the the stuffing peddle and blew stuffing all into the workers face. It was really funny.
I work part time on weekends at BAB and one time a grouchy grandma got impatient at us for our checkout system malfunctioning and threw money in my face. Also some UA-cam prankster guy came in and filmed us without our knowledge.
I have a story sort of like this I’m 11 and in 5th grade my school does this thing we’re at recess we help out the kindergartners with their lunch and recess. So there’s this kid we’ll call him Elijah he’s my best buddy. He always wants to share his food with me. We can’t share food. I like to say how delicious their food looks, then Elijah gets a BIG spoon full of yogurt and says,” you want some!” Then I say,”we can’t share food Elijah!” Then he said back to me, “ but you said that yesterday!” ( he tried doing that with his apple sauce the day before) then I say ,” we still can’t share food Elijah “ That made my day for a how nice and giving the kinders are at my school are. If that didn’t make sense tell me and I’ll try to rephrase it.
One time , I was super excited to get a build a bear as the last time I got one was when I was 5 or maybe 3 . So my little brother also wanted one . He did the whole heart and hugging thing and then he said “I don’t want it anymore “ . The lady there was super nice and said it’s no problem and we can just get the one I wanted the pink unicorn on skates . I was pretty frustrated at him for that but at least the ppl there were not mad
Kids man.. they’re the best. I have a lil nine year old girl in my life, and the things she says cracks me up. The other day she told me she got called a Karen by a literal four year old on the school bus, and the funniest part was she goes “and I wasn’t even being a Karen!”. I was like “oh my god, how do you even know what that means?!”.
Lol the other day I had a little boy come in offering to let me come to the aquarium with him for his bday and I literally said the same thing 🤣 working at bab is so fun
When I worked at build a bear, we had a lady call asking to put a jar that had her dead dog's heart in it. My coworker answered and said "Yes we can do that." First off, we couldn't. Second off, that coworker quit later when she got in trouble for being on her phone watching Netflix instead of working. And finally, no that lady never came. Still crazy though.
Top thing I miss about working on the Jurassic Park Ride before it closed, was the kids. Yeah most can suck but I would bring my personal fossil collection and talking to the kids about them and hearing them talk about what they’ve learned about dinosaurs was so fun
I went to build a Bear with my friend not too long ago (we're both on the younger side of teenagers) and We made bears for eachother. I've been jokingly telling her to go to therapy (but also she should probably go to therapy) so when we got to the stuffing part we put the free hearts in and did the wish thingy so I turned to her and said "I wish (her name) would go to therapy"
I work with chilsren as well, and of course you hype them up and act excited to hear what thry say, and i remember so vividly the first time i was in this kind of situation this kid was talking about some show he liked and the toys he had, i said it sounded fun and him being a kind little chind of course wanted to invite his teacher that he sees as a friend. I didnt know what to say and was utterly terrified to respond, cause i cannot say idont want to, bit i had litterally no excuse i could come up with, thank god one of the seniors saved my ass but still
I work at a ski resort and during the summer we have an alpine slide. It was the very first guest to come down of the day he was about 8, I tell him” Ight now you have to grab your sled and exit the slide before the next person comes down” his response was to tell me he hates me …………… I just kinda walked away and let his mom crash in to him from behind……… not hard just a little bit.
Man I would love to see them interview the Build-A-Bear near me. Me and my partner went to one (I was buying their Christmas gift) and they decided on a Hello Kitty, but desperately wanted to put it in the suit a frog was wearing (we couldn't find another). As we were finishing and paying, the cashier asks what my partner was naming it. They look at me, look at the cashier, and just says "Anarchist." From the frog to that, she just started laughing so hard.
Oh, and my partner also put the snoring sound meme into the paw, just as a chery on top.
Shelly kitty? Is that a demon?
AW
Idk why I didn’t put that sound into mine, I will next time definitely 😂😂 I missed out but not again
I was ur 1k like :)
This had me wheezing 🤣🤣

She absolutely is! 😄
They then warned the girl about “stranger danger” and left
Very sad :(
i went to build-a-bear and got a stuffed panda i named valentine. i barely remember any of it but i do remember when they put the heart in. i thought they were giving her life. sadly she is sitting collecting dust and has a batman mask on lol
People at build a bear are so nice (from my experience) and they were always so patient with me
We're not surprised. We keep hearing great things about the workers from build-a-bear! 🤩
So cute😂 my dad works for bounce house
Does he get invited to lots of parties?! 😆
I’m a cashier at a theme park and my faveriote moment was I was talking to a little boy and we were talking about his faveriote rides and how much fun he was having and then j got called the best cashier ever
that child is so adorable-
I hope y’all Pay these pple for their time
She would be a cute mom
The honest love, and want to share joy, from a child can be mind boggling
It really is! 😄
So for my 16th birthday party I went to bab so far so good. After stuffing my bear I stepped forward to get it and accidentally stepped on the the stuffing peddle and blew stuffing all into the workers face. It was really funny.
Oops! Hopefully the worker laughed as well. Sounds like it was a hilarious moment. 😆
She is so sweet! Why does she remind me of Bridget from that trolls movie 😂😂😂
I work part time on weekends at BAB and one time a grouchy grandma got impatient at us for our checkout system malfunctioning and threw money in my face. Also some UA-cam prankster guy came in and filmed us without our knowledge.
I have a story sort of like this
I’m 11 and in 5th grade my school does this thing we’re at recess we help out the kindergartners with their lunch and recess. So there’s this kid we’ll call him Elijah he’s my best buddy. He always wants to share his food with me. We can’t share food. I like to say how delicious their food looks, then Elijah gets a BIG spoon full of yogurt and says,” you want some!” Then I say,”we can’t share food Elijah!” Then he said back to me, “ but you said that yesterday!” ( he tried doing that with his apple sauce the day before) then I say ,” we still can’t share food Elijah “
That made my day for a how nice and giving the kinders are at my school are.
If that didn’t make sense tell me and I’ll try to rephrase it.
The way she said that at the end with the face expression and scratching her arm- you know she is lying😂
Called a Karen by a four-year-old?! That's the youngest Karen we've heard of! Even if the four-year-old didn't know what it meant, it's hilarious! 😅🤣
Aw this was really cute
It really is! 😄
Godbless your heart ❤️
I’ve never been to build a bear but it seems so much fun there 😍
You should definitely go and build a bear! 😁
Lol the other day I had a little boy come in offering to let me come to the aquarium with him for his bday and I literally said the same thing 🤣 working at bab is so fun
I love the lego starwars music in the backround
Build a bear really helped me out my son had a heart transplant so he has two bears one of his original heartbeat and one with his new ,
That's so cool, Lauren! 🤩
Wholesome 🥺
This is why I love kids I really want to work at build a bear now🥰
You should definitely go apply! 🤩
I actually love build a bear so much
It is a pretty awesome place! 😁
…at build a bear, I named a frog booty, and my sisters frogs name is hole. That thought this where joking…we weren’t joking 😳😂😳😂😳😂
It’s great but I wish American citizens (like this woman) were paid an actual living wage.
Its fun until you go to checkout and see the total price
That's the one time you're not supposed to look! Never look at the total price. 😆
@@not-always-right 🤣
BAB was one of my favorite jobs❤️
Sounds like for the most part, everyone loves working at Build-A-Bear! 😁
her: "yes, but I have to work..."
child: "good, because you aren't invited"
This happens to me all the time in school when I go and help for little kids out
When I worked at build a bear, we had a lady call asking to put a jar that had her dead dog's heart in it. My coworker answered and said "Yes we can do that." First off, we couldn't. Second off, that coworker quit later when she got in trouble for being on her phone watching Netflix instead of working. And finally, no that lady never came. Still crazy though.
That's wild! We've heard of people wanting to put ashes or something but a jar with a heart?! 😬
Broo that was my sister! My parents told me the SAME exact story!!
No way!
That’s so adorable
It 1000% is! 😁
I work at a gym daycare and I have kids ask me to come to their birthday parties all the time. Once a kid asked me to join their grandmas birthday
That's adorable, Hannah! 😄
Awww I cant!
We couldn't either. We would've loved to, though. Bounce houses are a blast. 😁
That’s awesome
I love it
We do, too, Jess! Thanks for commenting. 😁
I found out today that you can buy clothes for plushies outside of build a bear as longs as it fits in the plushies
Top thing I miss about working on the Jurassic Park Ride before it closed, was the kids. Yeah most can suck but I would bring my personal fossil collection and talking to the kids about them and hearing them talk about what they’ve learned about dinosaurs was so fun
That sounds like it was awesome! You probably made those kids' day by showing them your fossil collection. 🤩
So sweet ✨
It really is the sweetest! 🤩
Oh wow. Build a bear gets pretty wild 😜
IF U EVER SEE HER AGAIN OR I SEE HER TELL HER THAT I LOVEEEEEE BUILD A BEAR ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love that❤️😍
We do, too, Elyse! 🤩
Anyone else thought the parents were gonna come out as super rich or famous and invite her to the party?? No? Just me? Ok🤓
That would've made this even better! 🤩
I went to build a Bear with my friend not too long ago (we're both on the younger side of teenagers) and We made bears for eachother. I've been jokingly telling her to go to therapy (but also she should probably go to therapy) so when we got to the stuffing part we put the free hearts in and did the wish thingy so I turned to her and said "I wish (her name) would go to therapy"
thanks for sharing! hope you and friend are doing ok
That’s so cute ❤❤❤
While I was watching this I was snuggling with a build a bear frog plushy wow what a coincidence🐸🧸
Wow! Maybe it's a sign you need to go back to build-a-bear and get your frog a friend. 😎
Finally someone likes the cantina band
So cute!
The cutest! 😄
i would love working at BAB ❤
You should 100% go apply! 🤩
i once asked my kindergarten teacher to come to my bday party and she came to my house for the party ❤
That's so cool! We love hearing stories like that. 🤩
I REMEMBER GOING TO THAT BEAR PLACE WHEN I WAS IN PRIMARY FOR ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS PARTY
I didnt know what to say and was utterly terrified to respond, cause i cannot say idont want to, bit i had litterally no excuse i could come up with, thank god one of the seniors saved my ass but still
What I thought the kid was going to say when she said she got a b-day party:Your🙄not🙅♀️invited😈
That definitely would've been something we would've shared on here, too. 😂 We're glad this one wasn't like that!
Ouch! Good thing his mom was right there to witness that. 😐
@@not-always-right na she was coming down the slide behind him.
