Scream is a classic Slasher movie, I love it! 🩸🔪 The reaction was very good! I'm glad Ketty enjoyed it, she will soon overcome her fear of horror movies 😅😊
The great thing about Scream was it was so self aware, in that it even though it is a serious subject it constantly refers to old Horror films and makes reference to the plot of them etc. It also spawned superb sequels, each on of them is great too and well worth a watch. You gotta do the sequels, the writing is just so clever. Wes Craven killing off the most famous person in the film in the first few minutes. An incredible amount of such famous female actors in the Scream films just too many to mention.
It's important to realise the slasher film had become tired & "Scream" was so fresh in 1996 it virtually started it's own genre. It isn't a parody (like Scary Movie) but a satire of horror with all the characters & the audience in on the absurdity of horror films & horror movie logic that it is even spoken by the cast in the film with exactly the same beats of a horror movie throughout like Sidney going up the stairs instead of out the front door 😂😂😂 The humour is intentional to balance out the horrific circumstances in the movie. Quite brilliant 👏
1. What I like most about doing this is watching people overthink it. 2. Cell phones weren't prevalent in 1996. 3. Dewey's superior IS the janitor since Wes Craven did the cameo as Freddy Kruger. 4. Principal Hembry was the Fonz/Henry Winkler. (one of Fonzie's jackets is on a coat hanger in the closet) 5. Tatum/Rose McGowan as long as I have a face.😝😈 6. I love how the inept killer keeps getting his ass kicked🤣 7. Fun fact: The reporter lady that says, "How does it feel to be almost brutally butchered?" is played by Linda Blair/Reagan from "The Exorcist"
I had no idea just how involved Drew Barrymore was on Scream until only a few years ago. Drew was an uncredited & unofficial producer on Scream & it can't be said enough how influential she was on it. It was Drew who went to Wes Craven to lobby for him to direct the film 1st & it was Drew who insisted she should play Casey & not Sidney she was cast for. This video from her talk show details her perspective from 1996 - ua-cam.com/video/C7q90h5PQvM/v-deo.htmlsi=5WxkdZIfpltcRhd2
Wes Craven brought back horror movies back to a bigger audience with that franchise. Tatum cpuld perfectly well escape during rhearsala, so they did something to herr dress, when they were doing the scene.
Scream is an amazing movie. I love it. Everyone was awesome for their roles. Neve Campbell was made for Scream franchise. Too bad she didn't come in Scream 6. It would been amazing.
Have you noticed that Stu was surprised during the big reveal as if he didn't understand there is a need for a motive? That shows him as more psycho...
the reveal was a surprise to the actors who played Sidney and Stu because the director gave them a different script. That was Matthew Lillard's real reaction to the reveal
I love your reaction channel. I have some movies that I’m sure you’ll enjoy. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), True Romance(1993), Fallen(1998), Quarantine (2008), This Is The End(2013), Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight(1995), Grandma’s Boy(2006), Halloween 4, Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter(1984). Trust me ladies!!! You’ll enjoy✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
@@mdollabg yes it was! it was going to be called Scary Movie & Harvey Weinstein wanted Scream after the song! Harvey is garbage but one good thing he did was make Scream & added parts to it to make it better
OP is right. The Weinsteins made them change the name from Scary Movie to something that sounds less like a comedy and more like a horror movie and they picked Scream because of the Michael Jackson song. Wes Craven thought it was stupid but when the film succeeded he decided it was probably for the best.
Is every girl from (where ever y'all are from) in such good shape?? Like every single one of y'all (The Homies) has a flat stomach... That is next to impossible to find in America... Excluding college girls, older divorced women (who stayed in shape) and random fitness models. American women with flat stomachs, are going extinct... Meanwhile the ideal body for American males, is 6 packed up and looking like you live in the gym. =(
great reaction!, love you ladies and all the homies!, please watch "hereditary", "the texas chainsaw massacre ( 1973) , and "terrifier" ....all 3 are horror movies. NOTE: terrifier is not rated and is for 18 years old and older due to violence, its a very good movie IF you can handle the content. THANKS!!!

Probably my favorite horror movie.
I also love Jeepers Creepers but it's hard to determine which I like more because they're different kinds of horror movies.

@@HighlyAdept yeah jeepers creepers is another favourite of mine actually. Good shout 👍

"Scream"(1996) is an excellent Slasher movie! This the best 90's movie for this Kind and one of the best movies of all time for this Kind for sure!

I was waiting for a comment on Tatum when she enters the garage lol.
scream masterpiece
Great reaction please watch the sequel s
7:08 I thought she was going to say shotguns
the reason why the movie is called scream is because it was inspired by a Michael Jackson song with the same name
Lmfao are you serious?

It is more possible that its inspired by the painting the scream..
