Good video. I would still put HondaBond or Gray RTV on the corners of the valve cover gasket and also put some in the valve cover slot to hold the gasket in when you lower the valve cover onto the motor. Clean everything with brake clean so it’s dry.
Just use a small amount at the corners, DO NOT use it all around. That may cause it to leak or the silicone will breakdown inside the engine and stop up the oil pump screen. Thanks for watching! We appreciate you! 👊
Yes, you must remove the down pipe to remove the oil pan. There are studs on the motor that won’t let you slide the pan out or down. Just use penetrating oil on it and you’ll be fine. 💯 Remember to hit the like and sub! 👊

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! 💪
Thx Miami for another video. Do you only put rtv on the 4 corners of the gasket to hold it? Or did you go all around wuth a small line?

Cool video, bud. That oil pan gasket was shot. Lol
Yes it was! Thanks 🙏
why take off exhaust? it seems like the oil pan should slide out. is removing exhaust required?

Shoot I lost a head gasket screw where can I find to replace one
If you lost a cylinder head bolt, it’s best to replace all of them.
You can find them as a set original, or you can upgrade to ARP bolts. 🙏
Is this the same configuration as on a 2004 Honda CR-V? How long does it take to replace the oil pan gasket?
Great question! It is very similar, with the right tools you should be done in a few hours!
Thanks and make sure to subscribe to my channel! 💯💯🙏🙏
