- BronyCon 2014 is happy to announce and invite guests to attend our Grand Galloping Gala event! Waltz the night away to various classical music composers and enjoy the company of sophistication. With an event like this, a lot can happen in one evening, so come join us for a dance!

About BronyCon: Based in Baltimore, Md., BronyCon is the premiere convention for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fans of all ages. Last year’s event drew more than 9,600 attendees from all seven continents.This year’s event, scheduled for Aug. 7-9, 2015 at the Baltimore Convention Center, is expected to trump that figure. I was in this video a couple of times with my fiancee ( Shining Armor and Cadance ). A big thank you to all who hosted this particular event! This was the absolute highlight of the convention and I hope you do it again in 2015. If so, we have a bunch of friends who skipped out on it this year who plan on attending next year.
Thank you very much for your feedback! I am very happy you 2 had a great time and tht u will b coming back next year :) my group and I worked very hard on creating the script and planning for this event but we really wanted to make up for last year's gala and make sure you all had a great time. so hearing that you had a great time at our event makes my committee and myself very happy :)

I was princess Luna and head of the GGG committee/ creative events manager for bronycon. I had so much fun planning and working this event. It was a lot of hard work but I want to thank both my cosplay actors and fellow GGG committee members who helped make my vision come true! you all are fantastic friends and partners and I can't wait to start planning bronycon's GGGII again in 2015. I hope I see you all again and that everyone who attended had a great time. We have a lot of great ideas coming soon ;D
Will there be food and drinks at the gala next year?
PuertoRicanfjr12 I'm sorry to say the BCC has a lot of rules/regulations for food and drinks, plus expenses.... So no :/ but we will have those water jugs again.

I tried to go into the gala but a security guard prevented me from going because of my cosplay. Rules stated on the website "you can come into the gala in formal attire or cosplay" and my cosplay was approved by Security MOD. I see Red Card, Button Mash, Mr. Cake, and Foaltron go inside but my CM Punk/MLP crossover cosplay isn't acceptable? *sad sigh* so I got bummed out and walked away. Next year, I'll bring a suit but still keep my cosplay, a brand new one, underneath it.
I'm sorry u couldn't get in. Security took the dress code very seriously for good reasons. But also at times from what I heard, too much. This year I will make sure to personally speak to them and make it it clearer what s acceptable and passable. We just didn't want any guests who wouldn't take the event seriously and become rowdy. We aren't bronypalooza xp
Penny Rosenstein Believe me, I wouldn't cause any trouble at the gala. I wanted to go in for dancing, socializing, and have fun since it was my first BronyCon (and it would've been my last if I didn't confront Security MOD about my cosplay being labled "a violation" after the cosplay contest). So yeah, do talk to security at hand and tell them that "if anyone approaches the doors as an MLP/WWE pro wrestling crossover, it's okay since WWE wrestling is PG and convention policy states all cosplays MUST BE PG."
I thought I had made tht clear with them but yes I will make sure they understand what is passable. They were just doing their job, I do not know what ur costume looked like but the rules were clear tht it is a formal event requiring formal clothing, or formal cosplay. If ur costume showed too much skin tht or they thought it was inappropriate, idk. It is a family event after all. But again I will inform them more of the dress code and what is passable. I do hope u come back to BC this year and hopefully we shall see u at the gala
My cosplay, or crossplay (crossover cosplay) was CM Pony, a mashup between former WWE wreslter Philip Brooks aka CM Punk and MLP. I wore that for the Cosplay Contest wearing a white t-shirt that I customized with the help of customink, straight-edge wristbands, pony ears, black tail, a toy WWE championship belt, kneepads, kickpads, Pepsi Logo cutie marks, and CM Punk's Bret Hart tribute trunks and kickpad covers (they were pink with white and black streaks). The only skin that was revealing were my thighs and I guess security didn't like it so they approached me at the vendor hall telling me to go change or I get banned.
Sure enough, I walked out upset that I wanted to leave BC and the fandom but came back wearing jeans and sort the whole thing out. I even show them a picture of Philip Brooks wearing the same outfit I was wearing that eventually led them to reconsider and have me wear it again. Then, I went to the gala where, once again, a guard wouldn't let go inside even after I got approval. He didn't tell me why but I guess you're right: it could've been my thighs or it was inappropriate in their case or both.
Yes, I will go back next year for BC and the gala and wear either a suit or a different cosplay but still keeping the theme of MLP/Pro Wrestling crossover but I won't be wearing trunks again.
Yes sorry, but those trunks arent really gala appropriate. But if u were to wear pants tht should b acceptable. I hope to see u next year at the gala and BC :)
