      14 minute mark, he’s trying to screw up, but his technique is so good, he still sticks it (even if it is over rotated).

    Okay, I'm closing on nearly 2/3 of this tutorial and it is hands down THE very best No Spin "How To" that I have ever seen! I have been throwing 1/2 and whole spin for many years but have had very little success with No Spin. At about the halfway point in this video I paused it and did a recap of what I had learned so far. In my kitchen, two knives I don't use for throwing and a doubled up heavily corrugated cardboard target. First throw was an over rotated stick (unfortunately about an inch high into the drywall!) and the second throw was a parallel stick in the target. I may be able to get this down after all? Thanks Adam. You picked the right guy for me to gain much better understanding of No Spin. Promise I will go to my target area for further practice as well as fixing the new holes in the wall!

    Thank you for your time and definitely your commitment to helping people learn more about how to do everything from holding, throwing, distance and the need for practice to become good. Very good video. I have practiced spin and I am at a point that I can throw from 8, 10, 13, 16 ft consistently sticking but working on accuracy. I want to learn the the no spin so I don't have to stand at these specific distances. If you have any advice on spin throwing from any distance. I would love to hear it.
    Thanks again
    Kristoffer Coffin.

      I was also wondering what weight of knife do you suggest for no spin. All of my knives are around 8 to 10 oz. My favorite knife ao far are the United Cutlery tripple set.

      When a youngster of about 5, I used to watch my dad throw his knives, but by the time I was old enough to start trying he was too busy trying to raise two boys alone. Not much idle time for such things. We helped him at odd jobs cleaning telephone booths etc.to earn the honest dollar to live on and help support his ailing mother (RIP Grandmother). Dads passed on now and I am 72 yrs young. Still fascinated by throwing something and sticking a target but never dedicating time to learn the secrets. Thank you for your videos. Maybe I will learn during this lifetime. LOL

    Great teacher!!! I did a lot of knife throwing when I was younger, 16 through my early 20s in the 80s. I read a book that was 1/2 spin I got really good at 1 distance at a time. Oh, I never had throwing knives but I could throw even a screwdriver. I think the book said a half turn for 12 feet but its been a long time. Now I'm badly crippled by psoriatic arthritis, my hands are all twisted and fingers dont move much, well same for most of my body. Even my neck is stuck where my left ear almost touches my shoulder. I was almost 6'2", nw maybe 5'4". Still I might try this?? Idk, I know I want to but doubt I will...

    This is probably one of the best no-spin tutorials I have ever seen. The only VERY important detail I wish he would have said was to place the index finger on the balance point of the spine of the knife. Since brushing the index finger any higher than the balance point will NOT cause counter rotation, and will in fact add to the forward rotation of the knife, which we don't want. Other than that, this is a fantastic comprehensive tutorial, a must see by even advanced throwers.

    I just watched his video. And only got about 3/4 of the way through it before i HAD to go try and practice. I will watch the end now. :) but its already allowing me to stick them the correct way. Previously i could only stick them thrown backhanded and at realitivly short distance. Like 2 meters. I practiced his technique yesterday at about 3 meters and was sticking them.
    Im very new to knife throwing.

    Great lesson thank you very much. It's been about 40 years since I threw any knife and now I have my interest renewed in throwing and before I make my own bad habits I want to learn from the beginning. Oddly enough when I was throwing in the past I could throw under hand 1/2 spin very naturally but had all my trouble throwing over hand, thanks again for your lessons.

  • @1Scorpion_thrower
    @1Scorpion_thrower Рік тому

    I started watching Adam who I guess you’ve mentored and I heard it best described as cracking a whip you’re not gonna get that cracking sound if the mechanics doesn’t write the practice by flipping a towel like you’re throwing a knife I’ve been thrown for four months outside I really miss inside 20 feet I do atoms technique which I guess is yours but I feel like yours and adams are different because when I throw not paying attention to the mechanics, I find myself getting the two crossed up and that’s what I miss a lot and then when I think of Adams arm you throw in mechanics, I hit every time in the same thing with yours when I think of the mechanic I hit every time I feel like there’s two different styles. There is my right.

    /BAAAAH/ ;lol 3,5 m same distance 1 turn throw/for kids// competittion // but if want another medal u can get it ,,cheap

    sorr ot just is my opinion and i am a thrower of all than can possible stick ,,and i feel half spin or no spin if want kill power is not option on more than /depend of years put in this ,,but let take 10 meter //a bit far for knife effectivity// but spin /full one you can ,,well i can throw old mauser long ww2 bayonet to penetrate yellow board/1 inch used in raising walkaround houses when doing fasade or ,, any // longer you are from target harder to get power on target with any but full spin but tit took me decades //like 3 to master full spin //but i got to have same knife /dagger etc set and when going to another there is a learning curve again //looooot shorter than on start but ok few 100 /1000 throws will do //i ended with full rotation axe throwing i use edge front than edge back and so on and on to all to 15 plus meters depend what your shoulder can take ,,and i got to minimum 98 perfect throws on 3 to 12 meter mixed targets/trees// and deep seatr in like hard to take out axe withoutother axe few taps side to side,, best sound on earth is a good blade get deep in wood//and i am bassist//:0 great video thanks/mitja /slovenija

    I just want you to know you are the reason I throw so good at five months I’m waiting for my third set of acejets in less than 2 months. there in mail either today or tomorrow I have your stingers I have your Excalibur‘s and now on the way, Apaches, you design the best knife I’ve ever seen I make my own knives now because of you I truly would love to hang out with you and throw so if you’re ever in American in Pittsburgh, my wife runs hotels free room lol but I’m new, so I still have a lot to learn but I can throw from 20 feet and be consistent with your style and Your mentor’s style I forget his name level 9000 or whatever but thank you Adam you find a watch you seem like a good person. I wish you the best of luck in your life all good things to you and your family and I hope to meet you in a tournament because as soon as I perfected this in my opinion, which I could probably go to the tournament now and throw pretty good I’m not perfect and that’s what I want to be. And in all my videos, I mention you usually and thank you and also thank ace jet So thank you again for giving it away for free. I appreciate it because this is actually keeping me out of trouble.

      I’m the one that is thanking you, Adam and I do hope to meet you at a tournament someday and hopefully get to know you. I’m hurt right now but still throwing.
