Oh Pastor Bohr, you speak to the depth of my heart: personal responsibility in front of the Bible and the teaching. No place in the Kingdom of the Lord for those who "believe" without studying for themselves. Thank you, and praise the Lord.

If everyone jumps off the GW that does not mean I will. I listen to good sense and this IS good sense. I'm not blown away by this learning, I'm happy about it AND it just brings to mind the things I have read in the Bible. It fits together like a puzzle. Just because the majority of people believe opposite, that is NOT going to sway my logic in what is right and wrong.

What spirit prevents the pretrib verses from being looked at??

    Luke 17:36-37 KJV
Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [37]
And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord?
And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
The apostoles asked where will they be taken?
Where they will be left was clear from the context: in the field.
So the question 'where' refers to those taken.
Jesus answered indirectly where - to their death:
    Luke 17:37 KJV
And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
The taken will be bodies eaten by eagles, the end of the wicked.
Pastor Bohr gave a very thorough explanation of taken as being the wicked.

Excellent point that NO ONE survived the flood outside the ark. NO ONE. Being that Jesus referenced this event specifically, we canNOT deny it being truth.

"But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and
drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe
entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and TOOK them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." (Matthew 24:37-39)
"And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage,
until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and
DESTROYED them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and DESTROYED them all.Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed." (Luke 17:26-30)
"Alas for the day! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a DESTRUCTION from the Almighty shall it come." (Joel 1:15)
"Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in
store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of
    ungodly men. ...
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the
heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt
with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall
    be BURNED up." (2 Peter 3:6-7, 10)
"The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord hath spoken this word.
The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have
transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting
    covenant. Therefore
hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are
desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are BURNED, and FEW MEN LEFT." (Isaiah 24:3-6)
    "For the Lord himself
shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise
first: Then we which are ALIVE AND REMAIN shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with
    the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

"Jesus has left us word: “Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when
the Master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the
cockcrowing, or in the morning: lest coming suddenly He find you
sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” We are waiting
and watching for the return of the Master, who is to bring the morning,
lest coming suddenly He find us sleeping. What time is here referred
to? Not to the revelation of Christ in the clouds of heaven to find a
people asleep. No; but to His return from His ministration in the most
holy place of the heavenly sanctuary, when He lays off His priestly
attire and clothes Himself with garments of vengeance, and when the
mandate goes forth: “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he
which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let
him be righteous still; and he that is holy, let him be holy still.”
When Jesus ceases to plead for man, the cases of all are forever
decided. This is the time of reckoning with His servants. To those who
have neglected the preparation of purity and holiness, which fits them
to be waiting ones to welcome their Lord, the sun sets in gloom and
darkness, and rises not again. Probation closes; Christ’s intercessions
cease in heaven. This time finally comes suddenly upon all, and those
who have neglected to purify their souls by obeying the truth are found
sleeping. They became weary of waiting and watching; they became
indifferent in regard to the coming of their Master. They longed not for
His appearing, and thought there was no need of such continued,
persevering watching. They had been disappointed in their expectations
and might be again. They concluded that there was time enough yet to
arouse. They would be sure not to lose the opportunity of securing an
earthly treasure. It would be safe to get all of this world they could.
And in securing this object, they lost all anxiety and interest in the
appearing of the Master. They became indifferent and careless, as though
His coming were yet in the distance. But while their interest was
buried up in their worldly gains, the work closed in the heavenly
    sanctuary, and they were unprepared." {2T 290.2 - 191.1} .......
"Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth
his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame." (Revelation
    16:15)
"Those professed Christians who come up to that last
fearful conflict unprepared will, in their despair, confess their sins
in words of burning anguish, while the wicked exult over their distress.
These confessions are of the same character as was that of Esau or of
Judas. Those who make them, lament the result of transgression, but not
its guilt. They feel no true contrition, no abhorrence of evil. They
acknowledge their sin, through fear of punishment; but, like Pharaoh of
old, they would return to their defiance of Heaven should the judgments
    be removed.
Jacob’s history is also an assurance that God will
not cast off those who have been deceived and tempted and betrayed into
sin, but who have returned unto Him with true repentance. While Satan
seeks to destroy this class, God will send His angels to comfort and
protect them in the time of peril. The assaults of Satan are fierce and
determined, his delusions are terrible; but the Lord’s eye is upon His
people, and His ear listens to their cries. Their affliction is great,
the flames of the furnace seem about to consume them; but the Refiner
will bring them forth as gold tried in the fire. God’s love for His
children during the period of their severest trial is as strong and
tender as in the days of their sunniest prosperity; but it is needful
for them to be placed in the furnace of fire; their earthliness must be
consumed, that the image of Christ may be perfectly reflected." - {GC
    620.3 - 621.1}

It will be like the days of Noah and Lot, THEN (not years later) there is the flash of light for a second or two. What was it like just prior to the flash of light? They were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building and getting married. Life was normal. Life will not be normal at the end of the age. It will be hell on earth. It will be cataclysmic if you have to go through the tribulation.

Pastor Bohr is right. I believe he is and here's my reason. Jesus referenced Noah's day specifically in the Olivet Discourse so WE must go back to the Book of Genesis where we find the story of Noah and see EXACTLY what Jesus was talking about. The way the Bible says ONLY Noah "Remained Alive". The Olivet Discourse says, "No flesh will be saved (alive) if the days were not shortened." Olivet Discourse means Matthew 24. Remained alive could very well mean LEFT alive. We must not put our own spin on the Bible so Pastor Bohr has sort of an "Iron clad" determination of left and taken. I, myself do not claim to know everything there is to know in the Bible. Pastor Bohr has been to seminary school. We CANNOT rule this out.

It does not matter who is taken and who is left, whether the righteous is "taken" or is "left", that is not important. What is here emphasized is a work of separation, like the separation between the tares and the wheat. Also that this work of separation takes place before the close of probation and it has to do with character. Is is like in Noah time or in Lot time. In both cases, the destiny of those destroyed is decided forehand, they are not aware of it. When the door of mercy closes, no one can come to Christ and no one can be lost. Between the time that the door of the ark was closed and it started to rain, passed 7 days. All this time life continued as usual.

Brother Bohr, I agree with your view of the Second Coming, but, in spite of Pre-Trib Ministers quoting "one taken - one left" as Pre-Trib Rapture, this is NOT the official position of Pre-Trib Dispensationalism. Pre-Trib's view is that, "One taken and one left" is a Second Coming passage. It is true that the "Left Behind" books and the movies base their titles on, "One Left," but this is still not Pre-Trib's position. I watch your messages on 3ABN, and agree with your messages, but please do a research about this. Actually, what you present here is in exact agreement with Pre-Trib. They use exactly your points you make here.

Exactly, the event of the Red Sea, even the animals were destroyed, the horses that pulled the chariots, I'm referring to. They ALL drowned. It seems to me that God Almighty has these things happen over and over to "Teach" us the way. Why would Jesus say, verbatim, "As it was in the days of Noah"? If it did not have bona fide meaning?

"And He shall send His Angels to GATHER His Elect" "One shall be taken, the other left." Those Angels will, "Gather," (take) the Elect to meet the Lord in the air. The Greek word Jesus used for "TOOK them all away," referring to the flood, and the word, "Taken," in One taken and left are entirely different words. "Took," in the flood is a negative in the original Greek. The word, "Taken" is positive. "Taken" word is, "Paralambano." It is the same word that Jesus used in John 14:1-3. "And RECEIVE (Paralambano) you unto Myself that where I am, there ye may be also." The Angel told Joseph to "TAKE" (Paralambano) Mary. Meaning he should marry her. I have done a very detailed study into all of the original words and meanings, and the conclusion can only be that the "Taken" are the Elect "gathered" by the Angels. The "left" are left unburied when they are destroyed by the Brightness of Christ's Coming. Reversing the Taken and the Left fits perfectly into Pre-Trib Rapture Theories version of the Second Coming, but not in Adventist's version.

    • @JaxCover
      @JaxCover 9 років тому +2

Walter C. Martin Jr. Hello Walter. I was typing a response and then it disappeared. I guess it got "taken". Anyway, I think that we have to go by the context in this particular passage of Matt 24:39-40. We are speaking of the flood- the destruction that comes BEFORE the "gathering" by the angels. In verse 39, it is the flood ( a bad thing) that is doing the TAKING. "...the flood came and TOOK them all away", was being compared to: two shall be in the field, one shall be TAKEN and the other left. So, these two verses need to be studied together first. THE FLOOD WAS THE ENTITY DOING THE TAKING. As will the destruction when Jesus comes. He will destroy the wicked with the brightness of his coming. We which are alive and REMAIN (ARE LEFT) will then be gathered by the angels. Even though you say that paralambano is a positive word, I don't see how you can say that as a fixed rule. The word means to gather or receive unto one's self. Now, whether that is a good or bad thing depends on whom is doing the taking, and where one is being taken TO. The flood "RECEIVED" those wicked people ,"unto itself, so that where it was, there the wicked were also". Whether or not taken/received is a bad word depends on whether or not a good/bad entity is doing the taking, and where one is being taken to. In the immediate context, those two verses go together. We can't jump to how the word was used in another passage and say that that is the same meaning that applies to this passage. If I say, " I have AIDS" that does not make the word have a bad word. I could also say, " I have a million dollars". Now have only means a good thing? No, it's just a verb. Thank you and have and God bless!

    • @1941Carlton
      @1941Carlton 8 років тому +1

Look up those words, "Taken" and "Left" that Jesus used. "Taken" is a word used for "Marriage," and "Left" is used for "Forsaken." The word "Left" is "Forsaken." Jesus shall send His angels to "Gather His Elect." Thus the "Taken" are "gathered." Please, Jax, you and Brother Bohr pray about this. The position you and Brother Bohr, and Doug Batchlor are preaching the exact same interpretation as the Pre-Trib Rapture promoters are promoting. PLEASE check to see if I am correct. I've spent 36 plus years studying Pre-Trib comparing it to SDA position, so I'm very positive about Pre-Trib's views.

Who were the ones destroyed in AD 70? Who were the ones who escaped? Were they the ones keeping the Law of Moses? Were they saved? Were they the ones who fled from the command of Moses feast to keep tabernacles to Pella or Petra? Did God give a damn whether you were a sabbath keeper or a sabbath breaker or rather did ANYONE who departed from those keeping the feast in Jerusalem & fled to Pella escape the destruction whether or not they were keeping or breaking Sabbath or obeying the command to keep the feasts? Like Sodom & Gomorrah or like Rahab in Jericho, if you BELIEVED the signs and got to the right place you were delivered. If you did not BELIEVE then you became a part of the Roman meat grinder REGARDLESS of whether you were trying to keep a sabbath or Moses' laws or not. Or even in the exodus, if you were in any dwelling with blood on the doorposts and you were the firstborn you were DELIVERED. The angel of death looked to see whether there was blood on the doorpost of your dwelling & NOT at what you were doing in the dwelling or what Sabbath days & feasts & moons you were keeping. Or how about Noah? Once you boarded the Ark you were saved. God did not look at what those on the Ark were doing inside it did He?

Verse 37 Jesus clearly says when the disciples ask him where will they be. Jesus, replies wherever dead bodies is, there the vultures be gathered together..... So clear... No ambiguity... Mathew 13.30
God allows the weed to grow along with the wheat, but at the end times before harvest, the weeds are collected and bind in bundles to be burnt...
This is clear that the wicked will be removed first and taken away before the second coming of Christ..
