Never been before but defo worth the drive for that pie and cheese scone both looked great. That spoon came in very handy with the pie and I would not have left any either. The garden centre itself looked well worth the drive over as well, cheers Alan

I had the afternoon tea with my mam and its was beautiful 😍 I actually got the ploughmans platter to take away for my dad and i must say it was value for money.
Great menu, Kevin. Someone or some people have definitely got that garden centre kitchen and café sorted (management and/or chef(s))? Great choice on the day of that pie. With you on the pastry; prefer it is not too thick. Cheese scone looked wholesome too. Nice job with the voice-over, which is a good choice if the place is noisy and didn't detract from the message of your video at all.

Hiya Mr&Mrs Kevin 😊well have to start with a gripe 😱 When is a pie not a pie?? It's an old argument. Should pie have bottoms 🤔? My personal choice is YES🥧 It's a hand held delightful snack. Your lunches both looked grand. Thought it was a bit on the high end. Especially as it's not a destination eaterie, but an add on in a Garden Centre. However, taste is the thing. Your voice over was a complete triumph by the way 😊. You discribed the food clearly and made me forget about ". Bottoms." would have loved to mix the potatoes with the gravy!! Would have loved to hear what Mrs K thought about her lunch 🤔💭💭❤️😱. Obviously this is far more than just a Garden Centre, and I'm sure me and my better half could while away a few hours, and enjoy a pleasant afternoon & meal. Informative video, and " food for thought" I'll hnbe keeping my eyes peeled for the next video Allan&Family
Hi Alan in not a cook or a chef so dont know much about pot pies or crusts etc and i know it causes a bit of debate and just having a thin crust was just right for me as i struggle with too much pastry i was surprised how nice the gravy in the pie tasted on the menu it said made with ale so perhaps i should have asked , im pleased my my description came out clearly having never done that before and yes i should have have had Mrs K desciriber her Scone etc has it did look nice , One again many thanks for watching and for your comments Kev
If that was served to me l would have taken the gravy boat off the plate because it doesn't belong there and also wasn't needed as the bowl of stew with a pastry lid had more than enough gravy.l would have emptied the stew and circle of pastry onto the plate and got stuck in.Not a very filling portion but looked quite tasty.Am l the only person who wants food on the plate and not jugs and bowls and tubs of whatever. When l eat lam hungry and don't want to be messing about emptying and ....ing around with little containers etc l just want to get stuck in and enjoy the grub.l don't have to tell you but a proper pie is whatever filling encased in pastry.Interesting review as always.
